The room was great, clean and tidy, and the surroundings were very quiet. The location is excellent, as you can walk to the commercial street, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Kamo River from here. The price was also very reasonable, and there's a public bath.

Comprehensive and exquisite breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Decent room. There was a restaurant we couldn't find at the time, and the front desk staff, both a lady and a gentleman, specifically took out a map and patiently helped us locate it, even offering recommendations. This is my favorite hotel in Kyoto. The attention to detail is excellent, and the amenities are great. The room was perfectly adequate, not large but very charming. In the morning, I also enjoyed being able to book and attend the morning service at the temple next door. I loved it.

Highly recommend this place; I've stayed here every time I've visited Kyoto. The Japanese-style room decor is beautiful and the size is just right. Most importantly, the location is excellent and super convenient. My first time in Kyoto, I stayed at Celestine and found dining in Gion to be quite inconvenient. This hotel is much better. The only downside is the lack of a laundry room. Since I stayed for over 10 days this time, I had to find a laundromat outside, which was a bit of a hassle.

This hotel is in a great location nearly next to Nishiki Market. Around the hotel is very quiet. The room we received was facing the graveyard, I’m not sure why there are so many negatives reviews about it but we had no problems with it. No ****** visited us😋😅 The bed was very spacious but a little hard. The pillows were also quite hard so we woke up sore a few times… overall the room was very clean and amenities were available downstairs if needed like toothbrush or qtips. The staff were very kind and brought our luggage to our room before we arrived through luggage forwarding. After check out, they also allowed us to store it in the back for a few hours.
