"The place is quite lovely, and the staff is polite mand always ready to assist the guests. It is super clean and tidy, and the food is amazing. However, there are things that I cannot overlook. The Internet is one of them, we did not have an internet connection at this hotel. The wifi signal is horrible. There are too many ants. We had a room on the fourth floor, and they managed to climb up there. If you leave some food on the table or a desk, there should be an ant party within 30 minutes. The place is kinda old, it doesn't feel like a four-star place. Some things are outdated. The restaurant is pretty expensive compared to the other restaurants close by (mango sticky rice is 200 compared to an average 100 outside)and the beach bar was closed due the renovation. We had fun here and we will be back. I highly recommend this place for families. This is not a critique but a guideline on how to improve. Cheers!"

Cons: sausages line for breakfast couldve use a more premium ones...egg station should be expanded with more staff since it is the busiest of all in the morning..water pressure (shower) couldve been stronger like the bath tub, cleaning hours could be better managed and attentive (they forgot to refill the soap/shampoo)."

"I have been many times in this hotel over the years, and I keep coming back!
The hotel is on a cliff, with a beach at the bottom.
There are 2 swimming pools.
The rooms are spacious and all give a view over the sea.
Breakfast is in the top building, where a mountain cabin goes from the bottom building, to avoid a steep walk up or down.
The grounds are a well kept garden, which could compete with a botanic garden.
During the night you hear crickets and frogs, and all kind of other jungle noises.
Monies visit the grounds as well, looking for fruits.
If you leave a door open to the balcony, you can have a monkey visiting your room, and stealing an apple or other visible fruit.
It is a very children safe place as well, as there are no cars nor motorbikes allowed on the grounds, apart from the parking.
This is the place to go in Koh Chang!"

"The address on Ctrip is wrong! It's wrong! Give Ctrip a bad review! I used this address for navigation and went to the wrong place, kc! Just enter its English name on Google. The room is actually very shabby, and the guest room is still upgraded, with a sea view room. Then there is a strong musty smell, just like a hotel I stayed in Shengsi before, but that hotel in China is 1500, and it also has a private beach but no breakfast. The location here is amazing, with its own beach and swimming pool, but the room smells musty and not very clean. The air conditioning is also relatively poor, and the bedding is also relatively worn out. The breakfast is okay, very mediocre, but at least there is milk. The Giraffe Hotel in China costs 1500 a night, and there is no milk in the morning. In short, around 300, it is super value! Forget about pursuing quality, but pursue cost-effectiveness, it is not too bad. It is clean, but it is old, the house by the sea is damp, and there is a strong musty smell. Worth it."

"The hotel is just a fairy tale! We lived on the 2nd floor, a villa. Everything is done so beautifully, lots of molding, a wonderful shower room, lots of greenery. Beautiful pool. Breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is located on the best beach on the island! In the evenings there is a fire show, shops, cafes, pharmacies are within walking distance. Special thanks to the staff! If Koh Chang, then only this atmospheric hotel."

"It was a very comfortable and relaxed hotel, especially the large balcony, which allowed a group of friends to have a casual chat. However, the beach is rather small, and the food is below the expected hotel standard. The staff was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is fun for most tourists, and the lifeguard was very responsible all the way."

GGuest UserThe hotel might be a bit old and the location might not be a plus point but the services and facilities that have been provided are excellent. At the hotel has swimming pool, pool bar, basketball machine, table tennis, kayak and paddle board. There is buggy service which really makes our stay are super convenient. To go outside, they also have the accommodated shuttle bus but since we drove there so we haven't had chance to use their transportation much. Our family was having such a great time there. The owner and his staff are very caring and look after the guests very well. We surely stay in this hotel again if we have chance to visit Koh Chang again.

Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here.
We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after.
The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view.
As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience!
The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you.

Private beach, next to a good restaurant on the seaside.
In general, there is a good set of depth in the sea.
A good massage salon with a stunning view.
English speaking staff is rare.
Water in bottles every day and little pleasures. A good Internet that catches even on the beach.
From the downsides - perhaps too much distance from the venue, but that's all the beauty. The lack of a teapot and a refrigerator in the cottage, and the compulsory presence of a motorbike as on the back.
I advise as much as possible.

We had a terrible issue with flies, and even though we ensured all the doors and windows remained closed, these tiny flies still appeared from the drains. We had to ask the staff to come every evening to help (which they did) but it wasn’t the best welcome back after a day out to have flies on all our personal belongings, especially when the main area was in the bathroom.

My son and I stayed here for 6 days and everything was wonderful — spacious clean rooms, delicious coffee in the room every day, and a huge luxurious pool (there are two more on the property, but this one was more than enough for us). The breakfasts were very tasty and diverse!
I especially want to thank your staff members Sa and Hand — without them, our vacation would have been much less fun! They are absolute superheroes: every day they organized different activities and played with my son Sasha, even when it wasn’t part of their responsibilities. We had beach football, Thai boxing, an art workshop, and more. Sa and Hand, thank you for your kindness and positivity — I wish you all the best!
It was also such a lovely surprise to receive birthday wishes from the whole team, even though I wasn’t expecting it.
The beach and sunsets are stunning — honestly, there’s no such thing as a “low season” here. Thailand is beautiful at any time of year! I came prepared for constant rain and no sun, thinking I’d just enjoy some solitude without the crowds — but in reality, we had sunshine and great weather every single day.

TTan93Definitely a perfect place for hideaway. Stayed at the garden villa with private jacuzzi, have the river +sea view from the villa.
The resort is by the river and not far away from the beach. We can ride the boat provided by the hotel to the beach for free. Kayaking is available at THB 150 per hour and it’s quite fun. Location wise, there’s no 7-11 or any convenient shops within walking distance but all reachable with a motorbike, which is rentable at the lobby of the resort. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, will definitely come back!
