Best Koh Chang Hotels

Stayed here for 10 days in February and didn’t want to leave. The accommodation is basic but has everything you need, fridge, air con, terrace, safe, shower, kettle. We did only have cold water a few days but it was so hot out that it was ok. The pool area is so beautiful with a great restaurant and bar alongside the pool. Very close to all bars and restaurants. There is no beach but it’s only a 5 minute walk away. I will definitely stay here again. A big mention to the staff who work so hard, especially the garden maintenance guys.

We have spent five times our holidays in the peninsula Koh Chang since 2017. We have always been very enthusiastic. The owner has built the bungalow with heart blood very beautifully, with the best location, quietly located right on the beach. But unfortunately, we had to see this year that quality has deteriorated. The nearby Royal Siam View Resort came daily with many guests who placed your beds just before the 9 bungalows of the Koh Chang Peninsula, staying there almost all day. To get into the sea, you had to get through between the beds. In addition, you felt like a walk, guests walked through the other resort at the Peninsula Bungalows, staring into the rooms, etc. You feel really annoyed. In addition, we had to find that the beautiful bright sand is ever more equipped with gross stones. It is really very bad to see how the Koh Chang Peninsula is neglected. We will probably not spend our holidays there anymore.

 Отель просто супер! Мы были в марте 2020г. Нас поселили в основной корпус (где ресепшн) на 2-м этаже (номер 225). И это огромный плюс! Так как в бунгало ночью все прекрасно слышно - кваканье жаб, ор птиц, стрекотание цикад. У нас в номере было относительно спокойно.
Вид из номере шикарный - на бунгало и море! По вечерам покупали рыбу, креветки в макашницах и наслаждались на балконе шумом волн. По стенам снаружи здания бегают гекончики, ловят мух и комаров! На территории отеля растёт жасмин! Аромат невероятный!
 На дверях и окне есть сетки от москитов. На ночь мы открывали окно и дверь, и прекрасно спали с открытой дверью! Также огромный плюс в номере есть вентилятор на потолке! Уборка номера, замена полотенец происходила ежедневно!
 А какие завтраки!!! Ни за один день меню не повторилось! Яичница, сосиски, зелень и фрукты (арбуз и ананас очень сладкие и просто таят во рту) были ежедневно, а вот лапша, картофель, овощи всегда разное. Супы были с креветками (!!!), с кальмарами, с курицей! Я 4 раза была в Тайланде, но чтобы в трёхзвездочном отеле на завтрак давали креветки - это невероятно! 
 Море отдельная история! До моря пешком 1,5 минуты! Когда штиль - вода прозрачная и бирюзовая, как на Баунти. Глубина есть, долго идти не нужно! Предлагают водные развлечения - лодки и сапсерфинг!
 По пляжу гуляют доброжелательные собаки! 
 А какие там красивые закаты!!! 
Если выйти из отеля и пойти налево, то минут через 5 будут магазины, аптеки, фрукты, макашницы, улочка с кафе и ресторанами (весь отпуск обедать ходили в WoW ThaiFood & Pizza Restaurant)
. Огромный плюс Ко Чангу - не встретили ни одного таракана! Зато летают огромные бабочки, бегают разноцветные ящерицы, летают цветные стрекозы, шмели! Также отель предназначен для людей с ограниченными возможностями!
 Однозначно буду рекомендовать этот отель!

This is my second stay. The private pool villa is cost-effective. The hotel has its own characteristics. The wooden structure building has a full atmosphere. You can also see a river. The location is a bit remote. You have to walk a very primitive path to the main street. This time I felt that the air conditioner was a bit old. I asked someone to repair the air conditioner when I entered the door. The breakfast was also average. But the atmosphere was good, and you can have breakfast facing the swimming pool and mountain view.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel ! Highly recommend, the location is incredible with a direct access to the beach. The staff is very helpful and provides a lot of amenities.

We had actually made reservations at a different hotel and were scrambling to find something for the night. We thought we would try the mecure, but it was all booked up- understandable as it was close to Songkran. We thought we’d stop in to see if they had anything available. We were welcomed with such grace, but we’re warned that the beach was rocky and it might not be what we were looking for. Honestly we were looking for two clean, comfortable rooms that had air conditioning and wifi. They were able to accommodate us. They only had junior suites left- at the back of the property. We were grateful to find anything decent at last notice! We had our first supper that night at the hotel, we were tired from traveling and finding our first reservation was sadly just not up to our standards. I had the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimp was not fresh, but it was still delicious. My Thai brother in law was very happy about the breakfast buffet- unlimit! Not too much options for foreign palates- eggs, fruit, toast. That was fine, I’ve been used to having rice among other things for breakfast while being here. I had toast with pineapple jam and fruit for breakfast. The pineapple jam is amazing! It tastes fresh like it was homemade! The best I’ve had had during my three weeks, and this is our second visit to Thailand. Housekeeping cleaned our room while at breakfast and surprised us because they were so quick and thorough. I didn’t have a chance to leave a tip! There were signs you could leave on your door to request housekeeping and we didn’t put one on. It was a nice surprise. I usually like to tidy up before asking for housekeeping. They did such a wonderful job. In the daylight, I could see that the beach was rocky and not safe for swimming so we went to explore other beaches on the island. You can rent a motorbike which was a nice option, but the roads are quite unlike anything we’ve encountered. I’m glad that I had my Thai brother in law who was a professional driver helping us out! We used the outside showers at the pool after our adventures on the beach. And relaxed in the pool before supper. It was warm! Not a bad thing, just surprising. Beautiful backdrop with mountains behind. We had a meal out in white sands our second night, but third night we ate at the restaurant again. So good! I had shrimp fried rice. The portion wasn’t small, but wasn’t as big as I was used to after being here three weeks. That’s ok I just ordered something else to fill me up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. My only regret is that it wasn’t our first choice and maybe we could have a bungalow overlooking the water. Regardless, being at the back of the property introduced us to wildlife we haven’t seen anywhere else since our stay - carpenter bees. Google them. They are amazing!

I want to talk about this unusual hotel experience: I booked a round-trip ticket from Bangkok Airport to Koh Chang. It was said that it was delivered to the hotel. In fact, it can only be delivered to Lonely Beach. The road behind is not included. We took a Texi (similar to tu tu) 100B per person from Lonely Beach to the hotel. At the fork in the road, the driver put us down and pointed to the sign of the hotel on the side of the road and said, ”Go into this path.” So we were very happy, thanked the driver and walked on the side road. After walking five hundred meters, we started to feel silly. We felt like we had walked into a village. Except for the trees on both sides, there were occasional houses. The more we walked in, the more fearful we got. On the way, a villager on a motorcycle came to talk to us and asked where we were going. (Don't dare to talk nonsense, the guide says that you can't talk to passers-by, but you can't help but say, I don't know if the driver has been tricked) The villagers said that they would go a long way, and shook their heads and left. How could the hotel be far away? I don’t believe it, it can’t be seen from the map. We decided to continue walking, and asked another villager in the middle, or we should continue walking. I dragged my luggage for almost one kilometer, but I haven't found it yet. The more I walk in, the more fearful it is. At this time, an old man riding a three-wheeled motorcycle showed up and told us to get in his car and take us there for free. We were even more scared – old man? Tricycle? free? (Mom said that she can't talk to strangers) Not daring to go, a blond ghost girl driving a car came and asked where we were going. After talking to the old man, she told us to get into the old man's car. Come on, he seems to be in his 60s and 70s. We are very good that he should be able to fight him before. If I can't, I will pose and say I will scare him with Chinese Kung Fu. So we got on his tricycle, and the car drove up a small slope. The downhill was a small road with many monkeys running in the middle of the road. This frightened us both. Mama, how can we hide from the monkey~ My face turned blue, Just about to say something, the car stopped. The old man pointed to the front roof and said: Go down, this house is. It doesn't look like a black shop, but finally here? ! It seems to be here... I stuffed the old man with 40B and walked down quickly. Damn-I finally found you, luckily I didn't give up! Closer to home, the hotel faces the sea, spring flowers bloom, and the environment is very good! The breakfast is super delicious, comparable to the five-star hotels in Australia, and it is delicious and delicious. The hotel has a free car at a fixed time every day to take guests to Bangbao Fishing Village. It's best to rent a motorcycle, it's a bit inconvenient to get in and out. If you want to live in isolation, this is a good choice. Europeans like to choose this hotel, and relatively few Chinese. (Picture 1 is the road through the hotel)

Good value for money. Bathroom and bungalow were very clean. The ladies who run the cottage were super nice and helped us a lot. There is also a scooter rental at fair local prices. Unfortunately no good access to the sea

I had a great time in the Lonely Beach off-season thanks to Thomas, Nils, and their people at the Lonely Beach Resort. It’s located on the main road and they have standard bar food like 🍔 & 🍕. AMAZING!!!! But Tom’s hospitality and spirit as a genuine bar man comes across very authentically. Feel blessed to have met these guys.

Second time here and it was very good this time directly on the beach with a nice pool,ok the room are very small and dont have a chair or a table inside the room,but staff very friendly and good food in the restaurant, sadly the beach restaurants was not open as before covid wifi was very good this time,and good value i will come back
