Pros: A good value-for-money hotel. While it doesn't have a beach, it boasts many beautiful coconut trees. The facilities are standard, which is understandable given the reasonable price.
Cons: We booked a sea view room precisely because of their attractive coconut trees. A month in advance, we wrote to the hotel asking for a room on a higher floor if possible. However, upon check-in, they assigned us a corner room on the first floor, which had no sea view at all and was obstructed by the corridor and plants in front! When we discussed this with the front desk, they claimed that higher floor rooms were reserved for long-stay guests. I was absolutely fuming! Our 5-day stay isn't exactly short, and we paid the same price as everyone else, so there shouldn't be such preferential treatment. We strongly suspect the hotel didn't even read our message. Only after negotiating with the front desk were we able to switch to a second-floor room on the following day. This whole experience with the front desk significantly dampened our check-in experience.
Finally, a special thanks to the Trip.com customer service for patiently helping us resolve the room issue throughout.
