I think that the person who is cutting is definitely putting it out while understanding. Knowing it smells like a bribe. I'm sorry anymore, and when I talk about all of this at checkout, it's a dogeza. It seems that only the performance can be done, but after that there was no apology letter, explanation, or excuse. I was disappointed and couldn't say anything.

When i arrived with my friend, we were greeted warmly at the entrance and were explained everything at the front desk. After the check in, the Lady showed and explained to us the common rooms as well as the bath. Rooms were very good. The cafe area is also very good. Well i can go on forever like that. Long story short i very much recommend this Hotel, especially for couples. Just the price makes it not possible to come here more frequently^^. They have a shuttle service as well, even so the station is just 5 minute walk from the ryokan. But i guess for elderly people or people with heavy luggage that might be a help. The breakfast was great, with the ladys in Kimono explaining a bit and the view was superb. Most restaurants close in the evening, so we could see a lot of people storming the convenient stores^^. As for most of the Hotels: The staff is what makes the difference. And here i give them a special thanks. Very kind, friendly and helpful. I hope they will be there again when i come next time. improvement tipps: No lockers in one of the Onsen. Also the Phone had no description, so not even a japanese person know what number to dial -.- . Also for me personally i would like that the opening times for the cafe area is longer. It is so comfortable there^^.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay a few months ago before tourism opened back up. Highly recommend this place for people who are into more private, chill time. Loved the concept of this ryokan because instead of shared baths there were numerous choices of private baths throughout the property! Each needed to be booked in advance for a 45 minute session. They had an online reservation system but I think it was only in Japanese (my husband's native language) so I can't comment on that. Our room was fantastic; modern and huge, but still had charm. I think we were in Suite 13 which had its own private bath which you could open up the huge windows to a nice tranquil view of greenery. I liked that the entry had a super long hallway which helped with any noise (so quiet!). Personal touches such as selecting a complimentary gift (small drawstring bag) and fruit tray was noticed and appreciated. They were also very helpful to find us a restaurant to eat dinner at on a Sunday night (since we opted to not have the course dinner) - it was a delightful local meal ran by a married couple! I wish I remembered the name but it was izakaya home cooking style and so delicious. The breakfast on property was AWESOME. I opted to get the Western Style and my husband the Japanese. Such presentation and variety and a perfect start to our day. We would definitely be back to visit this place. They made us feel very welcome and relaxed! Arigatou gozaimasu *bow*

It is a new hotel that just opened in December last year, and the location is also convenient near Motomachi station and Nanjing town. Breakfast was only two types of Western meals, but it was kind to respond to fine orders. In addition, free coffee, tea and Japanese tea are drunk in self service at time other than breakfast, and there is a range there, and if it is not eaten out, it is convenient to use the food and lunch purchased outside It is. The room also had a refrigerator and pot, and everything was a comfortable stay.

This hotel was amazing. Great location (15 minute walk from the high speed train station), fantastic view (whole harbor and major buildings in the area), and great service. The proprietor gave us great travel tips to make the most of our short stay in Kobe, and even wrote out the Japanese address we needed to catch our flight the next day. The hotel room is literally an apartment, complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and TV, as well as a balcony with a great view. Recommended for a night or better yet a lengthy stay. The proprietor is so accommodating (New York native) and is friendly and easy to communicate with!

Room and bed much larger than expected for a solo traveller like me at such a bargain. Vintage-style design with elements of clock faces seen throughout the hotel. I especially like how they use clock faces and clock arms to represent the floors the elevators are at. Local is convenient, close to the Sannomiya Subway station. The overall experience was great and I would consider booking this again if I had the chance to return to Kobe.

The place runs on central heating system in early April when it is already 20 degrees outside. There's just a tiny window in the room. Because the temperature in the room is high already, the heater will not run, but given there is no air con, there is literally no air flow in the room. Had to borrow a fan from reception to deal with it. The remote unit of the toilet system does not always work too.

2nd stay at the hotel. Once with a group of 16 and this time with my family of 3. To be fair, the stay was comfortable and I was initially very pleased at choosing Hotel Okura Kobe again. The reason for my low rating is that the hotel laundry service ruined 3 of my sweaters which were sent for dry cleaning. The sweaters have been dry cleaned before without incident but were shrunk considerably after cleaning at the hotel. I believe the dry cleaning was mismanaged and wrote in to give feedback, specifically that this type of mistake with laundry should not be happening at a hotel which markets itself on the higher end of the spectrum. Did receive a cookie cutter reply from the housekeeping manager acknowledging my complaint. I think the incident was perhaps caused by new staff that were poorly trained. Pity, the incident ruined my experience and resulted in the poor rating for an otherwise pleasant stay.

Stayed a couple of nights in this Hotel on our recent trip to Japan and it was the best of the lot. From the moment you are greeted at reception on the 17th Floor the service you get is excellent at this hotel. The room was a good size and the 3 of us had enough room. It was very clean with a great bathroom and a wonderfully powerful shower. The supplied cotton pyjamas were so good we ended up buying a set to take away. The breakfast was very good, a standard buffet with Japanese items available as well. Plus its the only breakfast I've had where sparkling wine was available. The terrace bar is also based on the 17th floor and has a great view of the city and a good selection of Japanese whiskeys and cocktails. We had dinner one night at the steakhouse which served us with the best Wagyu beef we had in Japan. If we are in Kobe again we will stay in this hotel. The staff were very attentive and always did their best to please us and the quality of the accommodation and the food was excellent.
