I booked a single room (17th floor), though could tell by the room set up, 2 pillows, 2 glasses, 2 cups, 2 towels, that it is considered a double room and suitable for 2 people. As a single person I found it a very comfortable place to hang out in and did not need to use common areas. It would be snug for 2 people.
There was a table and chair, with convenient plug sockets that made working on my laptop easy. A kettle allowed me to boil my own water (buy your own bottles). Hooks and 2 hangers was sufficient for me to hang up key items, and the shelving was very useful. I did not watch the tv as not my thing. Air conditioner worked fine.
The bed was comfortable with clean bedding. A tall person would not be able to stretch out; I am 5ft 3 inches and was fine, though if I were a few inches taller , then my feet would have touched the wall.
The ensuite was clean. The shower has hot water, though the temperature is variable when using it. I would have liked to have had a floor mat on the tiled floors to avoid slipping, though then realised I could use the hand towel. Plenty of toilet roll, toiletries in containers fixed to the wall, a hairdryer, i.e. everything needed.
I initially booked for 3 nights. I ended up extending for 1 night, then an additional 4 nights due to visa issues. I was happy here and felt no need to change where I was staying. I had got a deal online and paid on average HK$288 per night which is exceptionally good value for Hong Kong; in previous stays I have paid more for worse conditions. Given the high prices in HK and my previous experiences, I was expecting to pay double that price for a private, ensuite room …very happy and would stay here again.
