"I don't usually leave reviews, but the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong truly deserves one. The hotel's convenient location is a given. We stayed here for three days, and the attentive service truly left a lasting impression. The front desk staff who handled our check-in were incredibly warm and welcoming. Upon seeing we had a child, they proactively offered a small gift and thoughtfully asked if we needed an extra bed. Every time we stepped out, the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile, which always started our day on a positive note. The room was also impeccably tidy, with even our charging cables neatly coiled. Our child left an umbrella in the lobby, and a male staff member from lost and found patiently spent over ten minutes helping us look for it, for which I felt quite apologetic. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, with high-quality ingredients. As we were leaving, our child said they definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Hong Kong."

"Overall not worth its 4-star rating as many things didn’t match the pictures or descriptions. The first room we got on the 7th floor was spacious but smelled of cigarettes. After asking to change the new room on the 8th floor was smaller even though it was the same room type and price.
Some listed amenities like the hair dryer were missing, the bathroom had mold stains, and there was dust around the headboard.
Housekeeping cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly and polite, but the hotel itself feels old and doesn’t live up to its price or reputation."

"I won't go into all the details, but the in-room water dispenser is an absolute lifesaver for parents with babies, offering water at a perfect 45°C – ideal for formula prep and making those middle-of-the-night feedings incredibly convenient. Special touches include a delicious complimentary cake for birthday month celebrations, and a bottle of champagne for honeymooners or anniversary guests. Register as a member and you'll even get a cute hotel teddy bear! The location is fantastic, surrounded by plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, and it's just a stone's throw from Victoria Harbour. On top of all that, the rooms are wonderfully spacious."

"I painstakingly searched for a hotel without bug complaints, but to my dismay, I still ran into trouble. Prior to my arrival, I'd seen many reviews for other hotels mentioning bugs and bites, so I meticulously chose one that had no such reports. However, the bedding felt very damp. I felt itchy all over during the night, and when I woke up, I discovered my entire thigh was red and swollen. Oh my goodness, I've never experienced anything like this! It was truly unbearable, and I'm utterly speechless."

In addition, Wan Chai Metro Station is just a short walk away. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. Perfect for those working on the move, this hotel caters to a large number of business guests.
"Great location, Wan Chai station entrance is just a short walk across the street and there’s bus stop in front of hotel. To go to airport, you need to go to another bus stop which is also a short walk from the hotel and most importantly, mostly flat so no worries about walking with your large luggage on slope.
Even though my room was located on low floor and right in front of the lift, it’s not noisy. Bed are comfortable but pillows are too flat/low, needed 2 pillows. Toiletries was not provided due to HK government policy to reduce carbon footprint and the staff does inform during the check in process so make sure to bring your own toothbrush toothpaste vanity kit shavers and shower cap. No bottle water provided but there are water dispenser on 19th floor for guests to fill your own water bottle. Mini fridge and kettle are provided.
Generally pleasant stay with lots of good food nearby."

"The location of the hotel was excellent, with direct mall access to the mall and MTR.
The rooms were fresh feeling and large bathrooms. Bed was soft and amazing. Mountain view with partial harbour view was OK, but not worth paying extra for.
The check-in service was very manual and slow. Given this was the holiday period, but the process when engaged was very slow.
We used the swimming pool which needs a refresh when compared to the Shangri-La next door. There are good gym and also dining options."

"The reception is located on the 20th floor. The first room I was allocated had no washing machine and did not match the photos at all. After paying a surcharge of 30 Renminbi, I was able to upgrade to a better room, which at least had a mini washing machine. However, even here the photos did not correspond with what I had originally booked. Apart from that, everything was fine."
