Hotel near Hung Hom and Kowloon City,Hong Kong
Once home to Hong Kong’s first international airport, Kai Tak has transformed into a vibrant social hub. Dorsett Kai Tak offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour and is adjacent to the new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Sports Park, hosting major events and concerts. The hotel is located a 35-minute drive from Hong Kong International Airport. Catering to both leisure and business travelers, the 373-room Dorsett Kai Tak features interconnecting suites, two luxury suites with private terraces, and the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite with a 10m lap pool. Hotel amenities include a sky bar, Spanish-Sichuan all-day restaurant Siete Ocho, a rooftop infinity pool, a 100-square-meter fitness center, and a grand ballroom with double-height ceilings.

"I recently spent three nights at Dorsett Kai Tak during a quick business trip mixed with some sightseeing, and it exceeded my expectations for a brand-new property in this up-and-coming neighborhood. The hotel's location in Kai Tak is spot-on—right next to the future sports park (perfect for event-goers) and just a short, complimentary shuttle ride away from AIRSIDE mall, which has fantastic shopping and dining options. It's about 20 minutes from Central by MTR, making it easy to hop around the city without the Tsim Sha Tsui crowds.Check-in was seamless, with friendly staff (shoutout to Gladys at the front desk for her quick tips on local spots). My room was modern and spotless, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning partial harbour views—woke up to the sunrise over Victoria Harbour every morning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and amenities like the rain shower, Nespresso machine, and smart controls for lights/AC added that luxe touch without feeling over-the-top. Soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear a peep from the hallway or nearby construction. The rooftop infinity pool is a highlight—serene with lounge chairs and those epic skyline views, though it was a bit chilly in October for a full swim. I loved the all-day restaurant Siete Ocho; the fusion Spanish-Sichuan dishes (try the spicy prawns) were flavorful and reasonably priced. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped, and the shuttle service ran like clockwork.A minor gripe: During peak event times nearby, traffic can snarl up the area, but the hotel's proactive updates via app helped. Overall, for the value (especially with the Genius discount), this is a fresh, vibrant spot that captures Kai Tak's rebirth as Hong Kong's cool new hub. I'd return in a heartbeat—highly recommend for modern comfort with a side of urban energy!"

"Overall, this was a fantastic experience. First, I'd like to mention the staff member at the restaurant with glasses. His service attitude was absolutely superb! I've forgotten his name, but he was wearing glasses and a suit today. I really think the company should commend him. He was extremely friendly because I told him my husband's card was on file, and I wanted to use it for payment. He actually made two trips to help resolve this issue for me. I also want to say that the hotel's pool is excellent; they even provide life vests for children and made sure we understood that kids must wear them. My child accidentally fell into the water, and thankfully, the life vest was there. I really commend the hotel for this. And the 180-degree sea view was truly amazing; it's something I'll never forget. My children had a wonderful vacation here, and I feel like we'll definitely come back again. Plus, the food at the restaurant was delicious and very tasty, and the service was also great. The ice cream was very good, especially the chocolate flavor. And the little panda photo op at the entrance was excellent. This really felt like 6-star hotel service – very thoughtful and meticulous. Thank you all so much."

"We just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and overall, we were very impressed. It's a fantastic choice for a modern and convenient getaway. First, the positives, which are numerous: Stylish & Modern: The design is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and rooms are decorated with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Unbeatable Location: The location is perfect. It's just a short walk from the main public transportation hub, making it incredibly easy to get around without a car. We loved being steps away from great restaurants and cafes. The biggest bonus was the immediate access to different water sports—being able to just walk out and go kayaking was a highlight. Top-Notch Facilities: Everything feels brand new. The gym was well-equipped, the common areas were spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool area. Excellent Staff: Every staff member we interacted with, from check-in to housekeeping, was exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel well taken care of. There were, however, two noticeable issues that held us back from a 5-star rating: Poor WiFi: The WiFi was consistently slow throughout our stay. It was fine for checking emails but struggled with anything more data-heavy, like streaming or uploading videos. Faulty In-Room TV: The LCD TV panel in our room was not working properly. The right side of the screen was noticeably dark, which made watching anything quite frustrating. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's strengths in design, location, and service far outweigh the technological drawbacks. We would definitely consider staying here again,"

"Last year, I booked a sea-view room. This year, I brought my child and booked a two-bedroom sea-view apartment, which was excellent value for money. The private elevator was a pleasant surprise; having one elevator per unit offered great privacy. Even during the typhoon, some vendors at the food court downstairs were open, which solved our dining dilemma. The hotel's proximity to the subway station is incredibly convenient – you don't get hit by any sun or rain. I'll definitely choose K11 again next time. The service was also exceptional. Highly recommended!"

"Checked in on a rainy day. The front desk suggested an upgrade to an Executive Room for an extra 500 RMB. This meant immediate check-in instead of waiting until 3 PM, plus a complimentary afternoon tea for two after 5 PM and breakfast for two. We decided to go for it. It definitely made us feel a bit better about being in Hong Kong during a black rainstorm warning. The service was very thoughtful. Although the breakfast restaurant wasn't huge, it had a very comprehensive selection and the food was good. The afternoon tea was surprisingly excellent – so good we didn't even bother with dinner that evening, haha! A great choice!"

"I rarely write reviews anymore; the more hotels I stay in, the fewer truly exceed my expectations. However, my recent stay in an executive room at the Ritz-Carlton absolutely deserves a thorough review. The hotel has been open for a while and is located in the International Commerce Centre (ICC). It offers convenient transportation and shopping. The hardware is well-maintained, and the room layout is standard. It's likely the tallest hotel in Hong Kong, boasting first-class views and excellent cleanliness and hygiene. The food ingredients are superb, and the various complimentary amenities on the executive floor are genuinely useful and appreciated. But what truly stands out is their service, especially Lena from the executive floor. From the moment I checked in, I felt her warmth and meticulous attention to guests. Learning it was my family member's birthday, she kept surprising us with thoughtful gestures. Even with a small misunderstanding, we communicated smoothly despite my broken English and her proficient Mandarin. The chef in the Executive Lounge also interacted with guests about the dishes and flavors. Thank you for your perfectly pitched service. See you next time!"

The hotel's fitness center features the latest cardio, strength and weights machines. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi access in public areas.

"was in town for some meetings and my wife decided to join me. chose the indigo as it was close to the mtr and i had some meetings to attend over at kowloon. (i am not a fan of staying on the other side) service, location and the amenities provided were great. we got a free breakfast every day, i thought it was very generous of the hotel to do so. However, the decor/room arrangements were less desirable though, the toilet layout set with bathroom and toilet separate without a privacy panel made it really awkward even for a married couple. which while amusing, was definitely not a highlight. i could only assume the designer/architect was either inexperienced or had peculiar leanings."

"Although the room is compact (which is typical for Hong Kong), it's cleverly designed with excellent space utilization. It's a one-bedroom unit with a separate living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. The kitchen even has a steam oven and dishes, making it easy to prepare light meals. Both the living room and bedroom boast large windows offering stunning harbor views, which are particularly beautiful at night. The location is incredibly convenient. Downstairs in the building's mall, you'll find various dining options and a Watsons, and the V Walk mall is just across the street. It's also very close to MTR and bus stations. The lobby staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to friends."
