This hotel was recommended by a friend and it really did not disappoint us! Love this hotel! U will be greeted by friendly staff and nice fragrance in the hotel lobby. There is also robot service but we did not get to use it. The hotel even provided a full set of Dyson hair dryer which helped styled my hair everyday! We had a bit of problem connecting the wifi in the room and they immediately sent help our way! They used their personal number to register and patiently helped connect for all our devices. Then again, this is something they should really look into for their non-Chinese citizen guests who does not have china number to register, it's such a hassle and time consuming to connect. 24hour marts are right across the street and there are a few small eateries behind the hotel. No complaints. Highly recommended!

👍🏻 Hotel location is good, near Wulin square metro station, wintin 10 mins walk, bus stops nearby as well. Plenty of restaurants nearby. And quick access to sightseeing spots, such as West Lake, Lingyin temple, etc, basically half hour drive to most of the spots around city.
👌🏻 Breakfast with vast choice, mainly Chinese food.
🥲 City view is facing residential building that we kept our curtain on, also someone smoking at the corridor, which was not ideal.

We received warm welcome. Overall excellent service from hotel staff to the restaurants. We had a happy and enjoyable stay at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree. Highly recommend this place.
After staying at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree for 3 nights, we went on to stay at the Shanghai on the bund Bayan Tree. We experienced a stark contrast in service from the front desk staff from the bund Banyan Tree. We wondered why they kept stopping us from getting into the room that we have booked for. In the end, we went through changing 3 rooms before they finally gave us the correct facing room. So, beware of the Shanghai on the Bund Banyan Tree and do not believe in the free upgrade or upsize room. We rejected the first corner room only to be given another corner room at the other end that were both warm and uncomfortable. The staff kept assuring us that they were bigger rooms and better view than the Panorama Riverside Retreat-King room that we have booked for but we want the room that we have booked. Why can't they give us the right room in the first place and have to made us go through changing from one room to another. A clear dishonest play here.
We missed the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree front desk staff.

We only stayed here for one night but there were many aspects that really wowed us about this hotel. The location of this hotel to the west lake is only a 20 min walk or a brief 10 min bike ride. Definitely go by bike, there’s good bike lanes all along the way. The breakfast at this hotel really blew us away. A ton of freshly made (literally in front of you) and high quality food with a lot of choices. They recently opened a bar and they had live music at night. We got a complementary drink because it’s new and trying to attract new customers and it was tasty.

Having stayed at many hotels around the world, this is really one of the best. Convenient location, competitive price, nice view, spacious, tastefully and thoughtfully furnish and most importantly excellent service by the staff. The duty manager Sam Zhang was extremely welcoming and helpful. When the food delivery robots were all busy as it’s the peak hours, he personally brought my food up. Mr Allen Jiang from the concierge was also very helpful during my stay from start to end, helping me my parcels and luggages. It’s the best place to stay at in Hangzhou, especially if you are attending a concert or event at the stadiums nearby.

We have really enjoyed our stay at The Amber House! The staff was extremely helpful and most spoke a little bit of English. Anna, at the front desk was particularly helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious, very clean, and modern. We had a lovely view of the lake despite booking a cheaper room. Breakfast has a lot of variety. We would definitely stay again.

Environment: You can walk on the walking path and the cycling path. The environment is really good.
Service: The waiters are very friendly. Manager Tu is very good and helps solve many problems.
We sent a cake on our anniversary.
The tea picking activity in the set meal is very good. I picked a small bag myself and took it away.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, Beishan Road is just outside the door, the Broken Bridge is on the left and the Yuewang Temple is on the right. It is a garden-style hotel, large and quiet enough. You can choose to have breakfast at the 1913 restaurant, which is very stylish. The hotel service is very friendly and the response speed is also fast. The drafting site of the May Fourth Constitution is also in the hotel. It is a satisfactory hotel.

GGuest UserI traveled to Qiandao Lake in late August and chose two hotels that were highly recommended. I had high expectations for Minghao and specially arranged to stay in the second one. The result was quite different from what I imagined.
First of all, I was very satisfied with the room hygiene and facilities. It is a newly opened hotel. The sanitary napkins and shower room are separated, and the constant temperature shower is good. What I was not satisfied with was that the balcony of the third-floor room was blocked by a half-person-high wall, and the lake could not be seen from the house. Even now, the balcony is not high enough and is blocked by trees, so the view is not wide. It is recommended to choose rooms on the fourth floor and above.
On the morning of the check-in day, the housekeeper called and added WeChat, and sent the arrangement of special summer activities and the business hours of various facilities. The content looked rich and colorful, but it was actually very special. Most of the parent-child activities were set up in a booth in the lobby. No one organized it, and no children participated. The form was greater than the content. The outdoor swimming pool that I was looking forward to was far away from the hotel lobby and could not be accessed indoors. It took a long time to walk under the scorching sun. The road was not separated by people and cars, which was very inconvenient, and it was only open in the afternoon. Some vouchers were given upon check-in, but they all have thresholds. The two free ice cream coupons also have a time limit. I didn't have time to use them in the end. I blame myself for not seeing the activity time clearly. The main playground is not as big as I imagined. I personally think it is less than 3,000 square meters, but it is enough to play. Many areas in it have empty shelves, the carousel is not always open, and the ground in the overall walking area is really hard.
Five apples were given as souvenirs when I checked out. The attitude of the hotel staff is also very good, but there is always a feeling of being forced to operate, and I can't feel it from the heart. The overall feeling is that they want to build a high-end hotel, but they only achieve the form, not the spirit. It is not recommended for vacation.

AAnonymous UserIt was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could.
The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright.
All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door.
Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today).
Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.

Just by lifting your eyes, you are greeted with the picturesque beauty of West Lake, with its stunning scenery of shimmering water and lush mountains. In the morning, as you open the window, the fresh air, infused with the lake’s vibrant essence, rushes in, bringing a sense of tranquility and delight. The room is well-equipped with complete facilities. Special thanks to our butler, Xue Chen, for proactively assisting us in handling our lost items. We are very satisfied with our stay and will definitely come again.

IIntrepid Traveller8Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand.
I would say some things for improvement are as follows:
Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here.
Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left!
Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated.
The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better).
The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on
携程 （Ctrip） or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better.
The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels.

1. Location – Perfect for Exploring Hangzhou
The location of the hotel is undoubtedly one of its biggest advantages. Situated just a few minutes' walk from the famous West Lake, it is incredibly convenient for those wanting to explore one of China’s most scenic attractions. The proximity to West Lake makes it easy to take early morning or evening walks along the picturesque waterfront, which I found very calming. Additionally, the hotel is close to several popular shopping streets, including Hubin Road, where you can find both luxury brands and local shops. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, giving guests many dining options beyond the hotel itself.
2. Warm and Efficient Check-in Process
From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The lobby is spacious, elegant, and well-lit, giving off a luxurious yet comfortable vibe. Check-in was smooth and quick, with the front desk staff offering a welcome drink upon arrival. I appreciated their professionalism—they spoke fluent English and were well-prepared to answer all my questions about nearby attractions and transportation options. One thing that stood out was their attentiveness; they noticed I had traveled a long way and offered to expedite my check-in, which was a thoughtful touch.

The room I stayed in was a deluxe double with a partial view of West Lake. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The food quality was excellent, and the service during breakfast was attentive, with staff regularly refilling coffee and tea without being asked.
In addition to the breakfast buffet, the hotel offers several dining options throughout the day. I dined at their Chinese restaurant one evening, which specializes in Hangzhou cuisine. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—definitely a highlight of my trip. I recommend trying the local specialty, Dongpo Pork, which was cooked to perfection. Room service was also available 24/7, and I tried it once when I returned late from sightseeing. The food was delivered promptly, and the quality was on par with the restaurant meals.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location next to the lake, however the views of it can be partially blocked by the swimming pool’s sail roof, so best book a high floor if you are paying a premium to look at the lake. The back of the hotel can be noisy.
Taxis can take a long time as the way in and out of the cup the sac can be slow.
The pool is big, but should have a separate pool for children, as the locals are very noisy and not well behaved, the sauna and hot tub are good and so is the gym.
The ground floor Chinese restaurant is fantastic and the staff great, some even speak good English, which in China is very unusual.
Overall a good hotel.

GGuest UserOur stay at Landison Longjing Resort Hangzhou was so memorable and absolutely magnificent that highlights remain sharp, vivid, and immensely uplifting. As tea lovers, it would have been lovely enough to be back in deciduous forests with bursting red maples and bright yellow Ginko trees accentuating autumn colors surrounding the beautifully manicured Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations that rest quietly within the hills of the peaceful landscape so very close to the resort—next to and just across the street, in fact!
However, our trip’s joys skyrocketed with our stay at the Landison. The staff was totally fantastic! Exceptional service in every way. Working with a phone translator Tracy, Brandy, Wen Yi (I hope his name is spelled correctly!), and Chris provided patient, attentive, and thorough care, concern, and heartwarming attention as they fully considered and answered our many daily questions on where to go, what to do, how to get there and back. (We were thrilled to use the excellent public transportation in and around Hangzhou. The hotel is just meters from the bus stop of two main lines. These buses provided easy connections to other main lines linking us to much of the rest of the city) Staff also guided us where to buy excellent tea, which turned out to be right there at the hotel, as well as from other lovely teashops nearby!
Landison’s breakfast menu, included in our booking, remained the same throughout our stay and never disappointed. Every day we enjoyed a large selection of beautiful, delicious food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, egg dishes of differing styles, rice, dim sum, pastries, and our go-to each day: a piping hot bowl of noodles, prepared to order by the chef standing behind the varied selection of noodles and fixings! There was so much fresh, delicious, interesting, vegetarian cuisine we can’t account for the entire extensive buffet.
The dining staff was totally incredible with their refined, careful, complete attention. Dining Room Manager Xu became our dear, memorable friend, offering us sweet, caring personal attention and comfort throughout our visit. We couldn’t help feeling disappointed when we didn’t see her the day before we were to leave. When we returned to the hotel for the evening and saw her through a dining room window, we popped into the area to say hello and a magical connection manifested that only world travel can provide, when the distance between two vastly different cultures disappears under the glow of human kindness, warmth, and connection. She provided such outstanding delight for us that our hearts hurt when we had to say goodbye to her. When she translated on her mobile phone, “looking forward to seeing you again,” we smiled broadly and added a very hopeful nod in agreement.
Extra lovely perks included nightly delivery of a delicate, nourishing white mushroom soup to keep us warm and help us sleep, a specialty of the establishment. It was tasty and nurturing every day! The housekeeping staff was amiable and friendly, mutually acknowledging and appreciating the human relationship!
In addition, the parking area staff offered cheerful, welcoming, and happy engagement with us throughout our stay.
Our extraordinary stay at the Landison is the kind of experience that highlights the vast benefits of world travel where the barriers of worldly concerns and tensions can fade away or even disappear into the significant and transformative mix and engagement with a time and place different from where we come from or know habitually.
