"I had a fantastic stay at the Mercure Beijing Road! The service was truly wonderful. I was particularly impressed when the staff proactively reached out to confirm on my check in (my flight arrived in Guangzhou at midnight) and ensure a room was reserved. They are incredibly meticulous, housekeeping noted my usage and kept supplies perfectly replenished daily. Highly recommended!"

"If I could rate from no. 1 to 3, it would be their location as No. 1; room size for a Biz Double type & laminate floors are No. 2 & cleanliness as No. 3. Only issue I had was my room request for the 2 rooms I booked for 6 nites, to be far from the elevators & they gave me the opposite so I assume they did a bad translation which resulted in them giving me 2 rooms nearest to the elevator!! I guess if you put in a Mandarin written request, perhaps this would not have happened. Other than this, I am happy with this hotel but note that entrance is best via The Mercure lobby - there is a handicap slope outside this lobby all the way pass Chagee/Macdonalds onto the street so you can ask your airport transfer to stop after the traffic lights. When I arrived at 1.30 am, I literally carried my 39inch luggage over to the Mercure lobby without realizing there is that handicap slope at the side cos the driver stopped me before the main traffic lights. The famous Bao Shi fu & the Guangzhou guangsi hand cream shop are nearby this hotel along with so many Michelin bib eateries."

"I stayed here for a few days for business.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was big, the sheets were clean, and I could sleep well. The cleaning was careful in every detail.
After I entered the room, I got a call from the front desk asking, “Is this room okay?” I felt their care.
During my stay, the front desk staff helped me a lot. They lent me scissors, tape, and an umbrella, and they also helped me extend my stay quickly. They supported me in many ways.

"Pros: Is a boutique hotel only at level 4. Location is good, everyday can walk to Beijing road pedestrian street walking distance to eat famous taotaoju, xiesanbao, pigeo, bakery 鲍师父, drink luckin coffee, ice cream and many more , ohhh ya Singapore bkt just right at the hotel ground floor.

Cons: the hotel is hide inside a small lane, you will not able to see from the main road. We were asked to drop off along the main road and push our luggages in. no proper drop off point at the front of the hotel and no ramp. Need to carry your luggage’s up down for the 2 steps staircase. If you take DiDi usually the driver will wait you along the main road need to walkout. Unless u ask to turn in.
Room door no sound proof. So be prepared early morning the cleaner or people will make some noises along the corridor. Pay for city view, but end up is opp resident view😅 need to draw curtains all times."

"As someone who rarely leaves reviews, I simply *must* commend this hotel. Firstly, the front desk staff were incredibly professional, offering smiling service throughout the entire check-in process. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Canton Tower. The room itself was pristine, with all new furnishings and comprehensive amenities. The large bed was quite comfortable, and it even had a small sitting area. Plus, there's a laundry room with a dryer on the 8th floor. And for takeout orders, a robot delivers them right to your room!"

"I have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon.
As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable.
One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more.
Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests.
Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future.
Would I stay here again? Yes."

GGuest UserThe hotel's air conditioning was excellent, keeping the room perfectly cool. The room facilities were quite new, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and professional, handling check-in and invoice processing very quickly. My room came with a minibar and pour-over coffee, which, as a coffee lover, I really appreciated! The housekeeping staff were also very good. The AC worked effectively, the room had no unpleasant odors, and there was always ample hot water. The restaurant was decent and had a terrace, which was convenient for sun-drying clothes.
While it's about 1km from the subway station, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service there, which is very convenient. It's also super easy to get to the airport from here – just book it in advance. Overall, excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!

For guests who appreciate luxury accommodations, this Rosewood property is an excellent choice. Our stay experience revealed that while its prime location, breathtaking views, avant-garde design, and opulent furnishings are certainly noteworthy, what truly deserves commendation is the hotel's meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to service excellence.
To give a few examples, let's start with the food quality. At Patina Garden restaurant, the breakfast selection might not be vast, but every single dish offered is a masterpiece. Highlights include handmade shrimp dumplings (har gow) and siu mai, generously filled with whole large shrimp; exceptionally sweet pomelos, honey pomelos, mangoes, and jackfruit; and French crêpes and waffles, rich in milky and eggy flavors, perfectly golden and crispy.
Another example of their dedication: after we offered a small suggestion to the restaurant on our first day, the breakfast offerings were promptly adjusted the following morning. This proactive response, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, truly speaks volumes about the hotel's exceptional efficiency and genuine attentiveness to guest feedback. Furthermore, both the front office and housekeeping teams consistently strive to anticipate and meet guests' needs, tailoring details when cleaning and arranging rooms according to individual preferences.
A special thank you to the hotel management and service team for the exceptional care and hospitality shown to my family and me during our stay. This includes the following staff members whose names I remember, along with many others whose names I regrettably cannot recall: Yuki (Director of Housekeeping), Angelia (Assistant Front Office Manager), Freddie (Duty Manager), Celin (Manager of Patina Garden Restaurant), Minnie (intern), and many more. EEe MayWe had a lovely stay here as a group of 6 with 2 elderly and 2 young children. The space was comfortable and well-suited for our family. The kids especially enjoyed going up and down the stairs (though a little steep), and they absolutely loved the plush toys provided. Practical amenities like toothbrushes, bath towels, and even a 2-in-1 washing machine with dryer (detergent included) were very convenient. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and free of any smoke smell.
The building is a bit dated with ongoing construction downstairs, but the elegant design still shows through. Unfortunately, the swimming pool is rundown, which is a pity as it would have been a great addition. There is also a gym room available. At times, we could hear construction noise at night as work seemed to continue around the clock.
We truly appreciated the thoughtful service — they kindly allowed us to store our luggage while we spent 2 nights at Chimelong, and also offered a late checkout until 8pm for a small fee so we could comfortably catch our midnight flight. That made a huge difference for us.
One small suggestion: it would be really helpful if basic cutlery (spoons, forks, scissors) were provided for takeaway meals.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay that made our Guangzhou trip very memorable. As a bonus, there’s a fantastic nearby restaurant called Lizhi, where we enjoyed delicious roasted goose and pork. Highly recommend!

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are modern and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly loved the heated swimming pool, which was also very clean and well-maintained.
Special thanks to the following staff members who made our trip even more wonderful:
Juan (娟) from the front desk, who went out of her way to help us use the mobile app and use it to book a taxi for the first time.
Leslie (健仔) from the lobby, who was very friendly and provided us with excellent advice on what to see in the city.
Seto (司徒師傅) from the restaurant, who was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on the best places to eat in the city.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the subway (about a 10-15 minute walk), and the road can be a little quiet at night. However, this wasn't a problem for us once we learned how to use the mobile app for taxis, which are very affordable in the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserIt's really close to the metro station. The hotel is gigantic, which is a bad thing. It takes a long time to get to the reception or the pool. There was a construction site right outside my window, and at 11:30 p.m., the excavator workers started blowing their whistles. I had to go to the reception to ask for a different room. The staff gave me a different room. The breakfast food was delicious, and there was a good selection. However, I probably won't stay here again.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at the Mehood Lestie Hotel, Guangzhou East Railway Station branch, and it was a great experience. First off, the location is incredibly convenient: it's just a few minutes' walk across the road to the high-speed rail station. Despite being so close to Guangzhou East Station, the soundproofing is surprisingly effective, offering a quiet oasis amidst the city's hustle and bustle. Guangzhou East Metro Station is also super accessible; just turn right out of the hotel and walk for a few minutes. It connects to both Line 1 and Line 3, making travel around the city a breeze. The area around the hotel also offers plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. The closest mall, Oriental Baotai Shopping Plaza, features a wide array of shops and restaurants, and there's a large Aeon supermarket conveniently located on the B1 level. Breakfast provides a rich variety, including many local Guangdong specialties. Guests can also DIY sandwiches and enjoy refreshing Western pastries and salads. What's more, the hotel boasts service robots that can deliver takeout directly to your room – just provide your room number! This is incredibly convenient, perfect for anyone who prefers not to leave their room to pick up food.

GGuest UserI believe this hotel use to be very good and popular with its brand name. But now it is old and needs to be renovated. It smells as it was fully smoking allowed hotel.
It is clean, the towels almost as a new. Nice shampoo in the bathroom.
The location is a bit far from a nearest subway and there is almost nothing around except Starbucks.
There is nice view to the river if you lucky to get room in that side.
The breakfast is limited but worth the price.
