"My trip to Changbai Mountain was very satisfying; I got to see the South Slope, and the scenery was truly beautiful. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and the room was very clean, convenient, and comfortable. "My two-night stay at Wanda Jin Resort was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, bright, and offered great views. Even before check-in, a dedicated hotel butler was assigned to us. They proactively shared weather updates, suggested activities with timings and locations, and even provided a local map. This personalized service was incredibly thoughtful and extremely helpful. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and assisted with our luggage. Breakfast offered a rich and varied selection, and we also enjoyed a complimentary afternoon tea. The hotel's location is very convenient for accessing the West Slope (Changbai Mountain), with a free shuttle service available. The drivers were attentive and patient. Furthermore, the area around the hotel boasts plenty of dining options, including KFC, McDonald's, Starbucks, and many local restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by how convenient this resort is for all aspects of a vacation – dining, accommodation, and transport. The resort itself is quite large. For those who rise early, it's possible to take the cable car up to catch the sunrise. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip, and I would definitely return."

Fortunately, Changbai Mountain gets cool at night, so opening the balcony door allowed for a comfortable sleep. The illuminated lawn (which serves as a ski slope in winter) was a great spot for an evening jog; it was truly refreshing. Pros: A wide range of activities, well-rounded facilities, and an excellent hotel location (though its proximity to the commercial street meant it could be a bit noisy). The breakfast spread was generous. Cons: The air conditioning wasn't cooling adequately, the swimming pool only opened at 1 PM, and the Hanla Mountain Hot Springs were extremely overcrowded."

"The hotel's facilities are quite new compared to other West Slope resorts, which was a major factor in my decision to book the Pullman. I opted for the 6-privilege package, which cost over 300 RMB more per night than the standard room rate. Having experienced it firsthand, I would not recommend purchasing this package. Here's why: 1. **Airport Shuttle:** The airport drop-off shuttle only departs when it's full. I had scheduled a 10 AM shuttle, but then two more passengers from the same flight were added, and we were asked to leave at 9:30 AM, supposedly to avoid traffic. Were these additional passengers VIPs? When it was time to leave, the front desk then told me I was departing too early, which made me feel completely misled. A 15km taxi ride would have cost just 33 RMB. Ctrip's hotel page clearly stated that both scheduled shuttles and private car services were available. If you can't provide a service, don't advertise it. 2. **Buffet Dinner:** The buffet dinner is only redeemable once, even for guests who purchased a two-night package. 3. **Shuttle to Tourist Center:** The shuttle service to the West Slope Tourist Distribution Center covers only 2km, a taxi for which would cost the minimum fare of 10 RMB. 4. **Petting Zoo:** The ”petting zoo” consists of two deer. You need to buy feed to interact with them, and this facility is accessible to all hotel guests, not just package holders. 5. **Travel Photography:** The travel photography benefit includes a free trial of two outfits, with no other services provided."

When we arrived to check in after a relaxing afternoon at the hot springs, the front desk was quite busy, so the process took a little longer. The West Slope was partially closed due to reported Siberian tiger activity, meaning only the lake itself was accessible, with the forest trails temporarily shut down. Despite this, the weather was incredibly clear, offering expansive views. We had a perfect, unobstructed view of the entire Heavenly Lake, and its beauty was absolutely breathtaking – truly a sight you couldn't tear your eyes away from. The most thoughtful service was that the hotel could arrange transportation for us no matter where we wanted to go. The prices were very reasonable, and it was incredibly convenient. As we were leaving, both my wife and child expressed how much they wished we could have stayed longer. Without a doubt, the next time we visit Changbai Mountain, we'll be choosing this hotel again! We heard that the high-speed train from Beijing to Changbai Mountain West is set to open at the end of September. It will only take four and a half hours, making it even more convenient than flying. We're really looking forward to our next visit! 😊"

"We stayed at Wanda because we wanted to visit the West Slope (of Changbai Mountain). Since there were three of us and we preferred separate beds, this was the only hotel that offered suitable room configurations. After check-in, it took us a frustrating half an hour just to get our room door open. Turns out the electronic lock's battery was dead. It's quite unbelievable that this kind of thing can happen. While they eventually apologized and resolved the issue, such problems should really be prevented proactively. Of the complimentary perks offered, only the one-way bus ride to the transportation hub was useful; the rest were not suitable for us. In the morning, there wasn't even a proper queue for the shuttle bus, and no one was there to maintain order, which was quite chaotic. Once we were on the bus, we even witnessed guests from other hotels arguing with the driver, which was quite an uncomfortable scene. The return shuttle schedule is fixed and doesn't allow for even a slight delay, making it quite impractical and more trouble than it's worth. The other complimentary benefits were also of no use to us, and after seeing generally mediocre reviews from other guests, we decided to skip them entirely. Wanda Resort is very far from the high-speed rail station; we ended up spending nearly 400 RMB just on transport. The transportation infrastructure in this area definitely needs significant improvement!"
