Going to Western Sichuan in winter is a bit challenging. The service at Lagang Ranch is excellent, warm and considerate. I ordered dinner for the evening in the afternoon. There was a power outage that night, but luckily there was a generator and floor heating was always available, so it was warm and not cold. Because the hot springs in the B&B are indoor and open-air, my two girls and I wanted to soak in the indoor private hot springs. The hotel also helped us book a private hot spring near the hotel. The private hot spring is a 7-minute walk from the hotel, and the hotel staff was very considerate in providing pick-up and drop-off for us. After eating soup pot for a few days, we didn’t want to eat soup pot anymore. The B&B restaurant also provides some stir-fried dishes, which taste very good! Breakfast the next day is a large bowl of rice noodles with coffee or milk. The hotel staff were also nice enough to heat up leftover dinner from the night before.
