For 60+r you get a hard bed with a heavy blanket for warmth. Some old wooden architecture. But hosts are knowledgeable and very friendly. The toilets and washroom could be cleaner given how many people are expected to share them."

"Very nice rooms. nice view especially if you have a double window room but we didn't unfortunately have the line of sight to the temple. Nice location. About 10 minutes walk to the temple and only some 5 minutes decent Chinese food restaurants. Breakfast was a pretty standards Chinese breakfast wise. BUT!! the had yak butter teamed yogurt!! delicious.

This was a great friendly hostel with a really helpful and warm owner. Itās right by the bus station down by the river and has an absolutely beautiful view in the valley right outside. The common area is cool (all glass so very bright) and really nicely furnished, and sometimes they will light a fire in the evening to make it cosy. The room was really comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping at all. The owner also helped me find interesting things to do in the area and even helped me find a solution when the bus I wanted to take was fully booked. Iād really recommend staying here. Itās also a fast walk to the centre of town and easy to get to the temples etc, Iād say itās the best location because you can easily get to other places with the bus station so near by as well.

The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.

GGuest UserAs soon as I stepped into this hotel in Kangding, I was warmed. The room was warmly furnished and the heating was super sufficient, driving away the coldness of the plateau. The night view outside the window is charming, and you can see the brilliant lights of Kangding City. The hotel also provides intimate altitude sickness response measures, and the service is too in place. There are many dining options around and travel is convenient. Highly recommended to friends who come to Kangding! ! !

Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if youāre looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!
