Best Doha Hotels

"I stopped here for two nights en route back to my home in Malaysia. I arrived late, tired and utterly drained plus walking on crutches after surgery. Chris the doorman welcomed me and got my luggage to my room all with a smile and the young lady on reception (01.00am on morning of 13th July) made sure to ask all the questions to ensure my obvious disability issues were helped. A late check out was easily given but I want to highlight that I had my absolute best nights sleep in over 6 months and most definitely since my operation 2 weeks ago. Keep up the good work. "Pps: Not far from airport. Has access to private beach, but could do with hourly shuttles or something for that. Nice clean hotel, lovely staff. Complimentary water given. Walk in showers for ease, nice run temperature when entered. Neg: Was there for a stop on birthday trip, and was told to them via email and nothing was done to add to the trip. Might be just a thing in the East but unexpected. Breakfast box was fruits and dates as we had an early check out, i shouldve chose a non-breakfast option (if that was available)"

"The apartment was large, nothing special about the interior decor, and didn’t give the feel of luxury, the bathrooms looked old and one of them at least had bad smell. 3/5 at best, wouldn’t go there again"

"A beautiful hotel but falls short of 5 star service. The service received was pretty inconsistent as some members of staff and certain situations were dealt with to a top standard but the hotel fell short in other areas. The poolside was not staffed so on our 2 days that we spent there (would have spent more but it was boring), there was nothing provided to eat or drink. Spending time by the pool is a big part of my holiday so this was really disappointing. When I enquired with a staff member, I was told it is un-manned due to a lack of guests using the pool. This wasnt an acceptable reason. The other situation I had was when I asked if I could change money using my contactless card (we forgot our bank cards!) - 2 members of staff said it is possible then when I went to change the money, the manager(Nicole) came and advised that it actually isnt possible. Very unprofessional. Check-in was really nice and Kartik was friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the door was very, very helpful in all matters and 2 members of staff at Alnafourah were also very helpful and friendly. We watched football at Alnafourah and we were treated well and nicely accommodated. Another incident occured when we came back to our room following a visit to the pool and having had our room made up, there were no towels! I had to call twice to housekeeping to advise them as they took so long to respond then when a member from housekeeping arrived, he told me the towels will take an hour to arrive! Never experienced something like this at a 5 star hotel. I had to go down to reception to resolve the situation and I will say that Nicole did sort it out immediately, the housekeeping manager visited our room to apologise and provided a complimentary fruit bowl. Nicole also offered a wonderful gesture by giving us complimentary entrance to a beautiful 'brunch by the pool' evening dinner. This was a lovely gesture as the food on offer was delightful. The gesture was very much appreciated. The location of the hotel isnt the best as there isnt too much to do in the area but taxis are so easy to get, this isnt too much of an issue. Overall, a really nice hotel but in my opinion, falls short of 5 star standard but does provide good value for the price. Nice but I wouldn't stay here again. Overall service needs improvement."

"The hotel is close to a large shopping mall where different kinds of restaurants can be found, within 5 mins walking distance. The service is excellent, the staff is very nice and helpful. There is a gym and a swimming pool. I think the gym is 24/7, the gym facilities is ok as a hotel. The pool is not big though, good enough for relaxing. The breakfast is not great, not many options of food but serving till 10:30am so can enjoy even waking up late. Sometimes I went to the shopping mall for other foods as breakfast."

"Panoramic seaview room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not too many choices but good quality generally. Although buffet breakfast provides boiled eggs, fried eggs can be served upon request."

"Great hotel but somehow some of the hotel workers are rude and unprofessional especially the one in the restaurant area. Made an upfront payment for breakfast during check in but upon breakfast, they mentioned that I dont have access for breakfast. After few checking, they mentioned that i can proceed to get my breakfast. When Im taking my breakfast the staff simply took away my plate and humiliated me by saying that I don’t have access to breakfast in front of everyone. They asked me to step out from the restaurant and do the checking again and i asked them to verify either the front desk and only confirmed that I have paid for breakfast. What make thing worse is they never say sorry after that."

"The room was nice and clean. It is located in the center of Doha, only 3-5 minutes away from the subway station. The breakfast was very rich, and my favorite was the freshly squeezed juice in the hotel."

"My wife and I stayed at this hotel in late April-early May. Great location, private beach, spacious apartment-room with a beautiful view of the city or the sea. Overall, everything is great! Important for those who go to the hotel: there are no restaurants or cafes in the hotel (accordingly, it is impossible to buy breakfast for an additional fee), but the presence of a kitchen with an oven, stove, microwave and all the necessary details of a person's everyday life (washing machine, dishwasher) in the room + a huge number of cafes and supermarkets nearby does not create problems with food. Also, upon check-in, a deposit of 1000 QAR is paid for the entire stay, returned after check-out, so you need to be prepared for such expenses from the very beginning:) Otherwise, my best recommendations for accommodation!!!"
