The location is excellent. The hotel is a bit old, but the value for money is very good. The rooms are spacious and offer beautiful views. We were allowed to check in at 8 AM for a small extra fee, which we greatly appreciated. The staff is very responsive.
I’m honestly lost for words when it comes to the service provided by the staff at DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Old Town. They went above and beyond anything I expected and as tourists travelling for our honeymoon, they truly left a lasting impression on our experience.
Every member of staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely kind. The way they approached and spoke to guests made us feel valued and at home. They may not realise it but those small interactions make such a big difference to someone’s stay and create memories that last long after the trip is over.
I’d also like to give a special mention to the gentleman at reception who checked us in. Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name but he was incredibly kind and welcoming. We mentioned that we were visiting Doha for our honeymoon, and the following day, when we returned to our room, we found it beautifully decorated. It was such a thoughtful and heartfelt surprise, and that small gesture meant so much to us.
Because of the exceptional hospitality we received, whenever we return to Doha, there’s no question about where we’ll stay. It will always be DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Old Town. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon even more special and unforgettable.🤍
The room was comfortable and the location was excellent, right next to the National Museum. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast selection was rich.
The only minor drawback was that the shower pressure wasn't very strong and the hot water wasn't very hot.
Very nice hotel in a very nice part of town. The room was exceptional in every way. The staff was also exceptional, and I had an excellent breakfast for the two mornings I stayed. Nice pool area, and a nice gym. I would highly recommend this hotel
I had an awesome time spent here in this hotel, room service was prompt, Kettle, complimentary water, coffee was present
Housekeeping staff did a good job.
Nothing nearby, so a bit of a walk for a coffee and something to eat. There was building work going on on 2 sides of the hotel. We had to change the room because there was no view, just the wall of the hotel next door. This made the room look dark and depressing. Bird poo all along the window sills. The staff were very nice, and they changed our room the next day. The hotel was a bit tired and no way was it a 5-star —perhaps 3/4. They should have at least one box of tissues. Breakfast was ok with slight changes every day.
I recently stayed at the Golden Tulip Doha Hotel during my trip to Qatar, and I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, making me feel comfortable right away.
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job every day. I particularly appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed me to rest well after busy days exploring the city.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. It is conveniently situated near key attractions, shopping areas, and transportation options, making it easy to move around Doha. The breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and delicious options, catering to different tastes.
What stood out most was the genuine hospitality of the hotel team. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made my stay memorable.
Overall, I highly recommend Golden Tulip Hotel to anyone visiting Qatar for business or leisure. It offers excellent value, comfort, and service, and I would gladly stay there again on my next visit.
It was great that the hotel was so close to the airport, about a 15-minute taxi ride. I didn't use it, but it seemed like there was also a shuttle bus service available.
there were always some random false alarm at midnight which disturbed my sleeps. the shower room always flooded. breakfast is amazing though. there are times when amenities weren’t stocked properly (shower gel, even water).
Excellent place to stay in Doha, very friendly staff. Hotel room is lovely with nice amenities, lots of hot water, fresh towels, comfy bed. Breakfast was great, lots of good choices, nice Coffee. The location is excellent, just a few walking distance to the Corniche and the National Museum metro station. There is a gym , sauna and gorgeous swimming pool. On my next visit to Doha I will stay at this great hotel.

I liked the hotel very much. The location is convenient, near the metro, relatively close to the embankment with pleasure boats and a museum. The room is clean, the area is large, the bathroom is convenient. Breakfasts are tasty and filling. The staff is responsive. In the photo, the view from the room window, as well as a photo from the hall with elevators.
First, I don’t believe many Google reviews for this hotel, as part of them are identical and look unreal in my personal opinion. Second, the hotel knew better times. Its old fashioned and definitely not luxury anymore. It is clean and has good pools working till 8pm, good location and comfortable beds. The food for breakfast was more then average and on the breakfast buffet tables there were many empty spaces, that looked sad. Service is also a bit relaxed I would say. Anyway for that amount of money you can have better quality.
This hotel is mediocre at best. Good things are that the rooms are large, breakfast is OK, location is very good. Bad things are that the hotel is old and not maintained in best condition. The shower pressure is fluctuating. It is not top clean, merely acceptable level. The furniture are old, you can see finger marks or scratches on them. Toilet seat has yellowed out with stains of old. You can notice the splotches of silicone in bathroom tiles, clear markers of cheap labor. Towels are coarse. Can say more but you get the picture. If you are a discerning traveler, you might be bothered with such details, though this feeling may be offset with the relatively low price of the hotel. Lastly, the hotel actually warns you about this and it bears notice that there are bars in the hotel and weekends being a lot of bachelor party-goers to the hotel at night.
The morning flight arrived at 7am, the hotel reception and the rooms were very friendly, let me stay and rest early. The people of this country are happy and intimate. The front desk can exchange currency, 5 yuan per handling fee. The mobile phone charging line was checked out, IQ was arrears, but the hotel provided Chinese-made data lines, proud and proud, great! You can walk from the sights and the location is good.
