Ramada By Wyndham Cairns City Centre
"The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere! It's not far from the beach or the pier."
Caravella Backpackers
"Check-in was easy even after 2 p.m. Booked a new apartment, but unfortunately they forgot to clean the toilet when we arrived. Very disgusting. Great location, everything was available in the shared kitchen. Right on the beach. Quick access to the city."
Cairns Colonial Club Resort
"Great location and hotel! Had everything you need!!"
Pacific Hotel Cairns

YHA Cairns Central
"Clean, chill and late night checking works perfectly."
The Benson Hotel
"Quite Central to where you need to be in Cairns. At first sight, the hotel looked quite crusty externally but the room (and interior) were fine. Breakfast was rather delicious. Pool looked ok but don’t actually go in as there was little cover from the sun i.e. additional deck chair umbrellas. Had to haggle for a late check-out (from 10am to 11am) but in the end, after using reason and logic, we got there… Overall a good experience"

"Nice view from the my room☺︎ I enjoyed staying at your hotel! I didn’t get a chance to use the pool this time, so I’ll definitely try it next time I come back to the Cairns !!"

Mumma's Hostel Cairns
"Such a great and cool vibe! Facilities are really clean, the outside area is super nice, staff are friendly and efficient and always keen to help. I enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure!"
Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns
"The hotel is a bit old. Overall, it was okay. It's a bit far from the pier; it takes about 20 minutes to walk there. If you're using a tour service that provides pick-up and drop-off, it's fine. But if you're traveling independently, you might want to consider staying somewhere closer."
Coral Tree Inn
"The hotel is within walking distance of family-friendly locations such as the park, aquarium, and esplanade. We were on the 2nd floor and had a great view. The only downsides were that it was on the 2nd floor and there were 3 levels of stairs to walk up with kids and bags. Additionally, the buffet didn't have a wide range, just the usual cereal, fruit, croissant, eggs/beans/sausage, and toast."
DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns
"Hotel location is on the Esplanade within walking distance to restos, markets and the reef terminal. Hotel pool is nice, overlooking the water. Staff gave us cookies and wine. The room we got (guest king) was on the second floor with a partial view of the water. Room was quite basic, small size but clean."
Pullman Reef Hotel Casino
"The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and the city center. We arrived early in the morning and couldn't check in yet, but they showed us a room where we could unpack, which was very helpful. The room itself was spacious, but its age was undeniable. Also, there were small ant-like insects in the bathroom every day, which was a bit stressful."
Waters Edge Apartment
"My wife, our two middle school-aged daughters, and I stayed here as a family of four. The cooking utensils and tableware were very well provided, and we were able to buy groceries at the supermarket and prepare meals at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the wonderful view and meals at Muddy's Cafe right in front of the hotel while waiting for the hotel reception to open after our early morning arrival, and again on the morning of our departure. It's a little far from the city center, so we had to walk each time, but that meant it was quiet and peaceful. Both of our daughters were very happy with the hotel."
Pullman Cairns International
Exuding grand colonial elegance, this upscale five-star hotel features massive, high-ceilinged spaces, an expansive pool deck, and a world-class day spa, making it the perfect sanctuary for a relaxing escape.
Hilton Cairns
"The body wash dispenser was empty! Despite booking for three people, amenities were only provided for two, and some of the staff had poor attitudes. However, I feel like this might be a general issue with service in Cairns."
Gilligan‘s Backpackers Hotel & Resort
"cute Hostel sometimes loud, but its a partyhostel so its alright"
The Espy Hostel
"The location was just the best. It was in the center of Esplanade, near the night market, so there was no trouble with sightseeing. It was the cheapest hostel with a private room that I looked at when booking. The room was small, but better than a dormitory. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and sometimes there was no hot water, so it was just luck at the time. At first I had trouble opening the door, but there was a free public phone nearby, and they asked me to call from there, and they opened it for me. I was surprised that there were free public phones in Australia. Lol"
Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments
"Value for money, with good secure parking. Nice swimming pool, and restaurant."
Tropic Towers Apartments
"We only stayed the one night, so we didn't get to fully explore the Tropic Towers. Good clean rooms with plenty of space (1-BR apartment) for the two of us. Rooms are a little dated, but the cleanliness certainly made up for it. My only other gripe would be the traffic noise - we were on level 2 facing Sheridan Street, and the traffic was quite audible."
Crystalbrook Riley
"This hotels wins the first place among other hotels on our Cairns trip! Brand new with mazing staff who are always there to make your stay perfect. The hotel has four pools in this nice courtyard area facing the beach, so you can swim with the view. Yet, the pools are not crowded at all. Family pool doesn’t look like, yet it is shallow with sand, little fountains and everyone seemed to have fun in there. Rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. Balconies are made for outdoor use with furniture and even night light. The view is worth the price!"
Hotel Tropiq
Showcasing a laid-back, mid-century tropical design, this boutique hotel boasts a stunning resort-style pool area that serves as an oasis for budget-friendly travelers.
Crystalbrook Flynn
A chic and social luxury hotel that embodies a lively, energetic spirit, offering glass-panel pool views and trendy dining spots right on the bustling Esplanade.
Alivio Hotel Cairns
"This hotel has many rooms with broken air conditioners, which often causes staff to disappear from the counter. Many electrical outlets are also unusable, so I personally wouldn't recommend it. The staff's service was very good, though."
