"Arriving after 5pm on a Thursday, I followed the explicit directions provided by Ascot management. There was a short walk (150 meters at most) to my room but the directions provided ensured that I was in my room in quick order. The fellow on the desk was able to assist with directions to fine dining close by and in the morning assisted again with directions to the train getting me to the airport easily on time. It's a well kept, conveniently located accommodation. I'll stay again next time in Brisbane."

"The biggest strengths of Roamer Brisbane are definitely its location and staff. It's directly opposite Roma Street Station, making it incredibly convenient for public transport and airport connections. Every staff member I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Another highlight is the in-house café/bar. The coffee was excellent and quickly became part of my daily routine. That said, the room itself left a lot to be desired. While the price point starts to make more sense once you see the condition of the rooms, they are noticeably worn and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in my private room was particularly disappointing. It flooded every single time I took a shower and the shower head was loose, which made using it quite frustrating. Overall, this is a good option if you're looking for a convenient location, great staff, the fastest wi-fi I've ever experienced and good coffee, but don't expect modern or particularly well-maintained rooms (they were clean, though)."

"The hotel claimed to be close to the central station, but it's actually about a 10-minute walk, and you have to go up a steep hill, which isn't ideal if you have luggage. The room facilities are basic, with a kettle and a coffee machine. The bathroom is a bit small, and the shower water tends to leak out, so you need to be careful not to slip. The main elevator door downstairs seems to close around 8:00 PM, so guests returning later have to use the stairs, which is inconvenient if you're carrying bags. There's an underground parking lot, which is good for those traveling by car."

"I stayed for three days and ordered Eggs Benedict for two consecutive mornings; the breakfast was quite good, with a variety of breads, fruits, and salads. The room was a bit cramped for three people. The hotel itself was very clean, and they came to tidy up and change towels every day. However, going up and down the hill daily was a bit tiring. After two days, I discovered a shortcut: if you turn left from the train station, there's a small path with an elevator that takes you directly up the slope. Cross the road, and you're at the hotel. This was especially helpful with luggage, much easier than climbing the hill."

"We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill. The reception team was incredibly helpful — whatever question or issue we had, they sorted it out quickly. The self-service laundry made things easy for our sightseeing trip. A special thanks to Assistant Manager Alex at the front desk; he was friendly, professional, and solved several issues for us during check-in. Highly recommend for a hassle-free stay. "We had a great stay here. My parents had also booked to stay as we were travelling together and even though an earlier email had told us we couldn’t room closer due to being full booked, on arrival the lovely gentleman checking us in moved my parents closer. Also happy to pop a microwave and toaster in the room (small fee) which was handy for heating little one’s meals and making her toast for breakfast. Had a great bath too! We dined at the restaurant and the staff were ver helpful also."

"Very comfortable budget motel. Pleasant check in and good location. Enjoyed a walk to the Wharf close by where we had a wonderful meal at Mr Wangs. Plenty of choice. Uber arrived within minutes and a short journey to the airport. I would definately do this again, a stress free departure. Thank you"

"We couldn’t fault the point hotel. The staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful even at busy times like New Years. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the roof top bar and restaurant were lovely. We will absolutely stay again. The only feedback I’d mention is the toiletries provided (soap/ hand wash and shampoo/conditioner combined were pretty average and not what was pictured in the advertisement. Otherwise this was an incredible stay."

"Spacious room with high ceilings. It has an old-fashioned, elegant decor, which is well-maintained and very clean. The blinds and window sills were spotless. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the casino restaurants next door, which offer fantastic views."

"The biggest drawback is the lack of a desk for such a high price. Facilities: They're okay, there's a swimming pool. Hygiene: Spotless, no unpleasant hygiene issues visible. Environment: Decent, you can still enjoy a nice view outside the window. Location: Very good. Service: Excellent, and there's a dining option too."
