"The room facilities are very new, definitely among the newest in Brisbane. Before checking in, I was worried about the construction noise mentioned in some reviews, but it turns out the construction has finished, so there's no more noise. The hotel is located on the hill behind Roma Street Station, which means climbing a lot of steps, or you can take the 30 bus from Central Station. It's very convenient to walk to the city center if you don't have luggage. The CBD view from the room's balcony is amazing."

"A beautiful heritage hotel in a nice location. Close enough to wander into the City but far enough away to have a more peaceful and intimate vibe. Lovely interiors. Our bedroom I felt was a little bland. Could benefit from a bit more styling and comfort, to keep up with the quirkiness of the hotel I have rated less due to the TV not working. We didn't realise this until late, when we were tucked up in bed, and decided it wasn't an issue not to be able to watch it. However, it wouldn't power down, and the screen glowed a dull blue all night, resulting in not the best of sleeps! The receptionist at check out pointed out that we should have informed them at the time, but showed no sympathy and didn't apologise at all. She actually didn't come across as very friendly at all, which was disappointing, as the rest of the staff seemed to be very friendly and approachable A shame really, as this did slightly spoil our stay, and I wouldn't be so keen to stay there again unfortunately"

"Loved this stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, when we wanted to change rooms they took us on a tour to see the other options. Very friendly staff, and lovely place. Great location- walking distance to the Cultural Centre (main bus station), South Brisbane Train station, Woolworths and QPAC so you can watch some great plays and musicals. Highly recommend, will return! The fifth floor has a large outdoor area with a gym and kitchen, so great to hang out there."

"The room 5067 Studio apartment was disappointing. The bathroom smelt, but maintenance fixed it very quickly. Kitchen cupboards were shabby paint flaking off. The unit look tied and bathroom the tile grouting needs to be clean. It needs an upgrade."

"It's about a 15-minute walk to Queen Street, which is convenient. The hotel service is good, but the hot water pressure in the shower is too low. It feels like it's deliberately set to a low flow. The hot water from the sink is fine. I saw a notice by the sink suggesting a 4-minute shower, so I assume that's why the shower's hot water flow is so weak. I mentioned it, and they changed the shower head, which helped a little, but it's still low. It's already winter in June, so the kids have to shower quickly. I hope the hotel can improve this. I recommend guests bring their own high-pressure shower head."

"I stayed on the 29th floor in a one-bedroom apartment. It had a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances, including a washer and dryer. However, my service didn't include cleaning. There's a convenience store downstairs. I stayed here for a marathon. The botanical garden where I picked up my race packet was just two streets down, and the marathon start line was also nearby."
