Brisbane Hotels with Bars

Got the room at a discounted rate hence I presumed i was allocated a low level which was facing the back(car park lot) which had absolutely no views at all. Front desk Service was attentive and friendly. Gym facility was decently stocked up with equipments however bear in mind, the facilities are shared with actual residents of the apartment as well. Loved the complimentary laundry on level3. Would definitely be back but would recommend staying on higher floors.

The night view is absolutely stunning, you can see the entire Brisbane city skyline. The hotel itself doesn't offer Chinese-speaking staff, so if you don't have a basic grasp of English, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Since I was on a red-eye flight, don't even bother hoping for an early check-in.

Rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is excellent. However, the amenities are lacking. Disposable slippers and combs are not provided unless asked, and the kettle is the worst kettle designed I've ever experienced. But the weakest point of the hotel is the lack of parking, where it is first come first serve. This created a lot of stress about having to come back early to secure a parking spot and caused us to avoid using our rental car during the day.

The Story Bridge is visible from the window, and the view is absolutely beautiful. Although a part of the Story Bridge view is obstructed, it's still worth choosing. The breakfast selection is rich and the taste is excellent.

A hidden gem of a 5-star riverside hotel in Brisbane's CBD! The location is unbeatable, making it super convenient for both leisure and business. The river view is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with great bedding. Breakfast is plentiful, and the service is professional and attentive. The pool and gym facilities are also excellent. The decor leans towards a vintage style, so a few of the amenities show a bit of age, but overall, it was a perfect experience. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Brisbane.

The front desk staff were incredibly kind and friendly. The room accommodated four people, featuring one bunk bed and two single beds. I was assigned the top bunk; there was a storage shelf near the foot of the bed that I kept bumping into, which was painful. The curtains were basic and didn't block out light or noise effectively. Although there was a large storage unit, one person had taken it over, so I couldn't use it. The shower, toilet, and sink were all in the same room, meaning if someone else was using the space, no one else could use any of the facilities for a while. Someone sleeping in one of the single beds turned off the lights, so I had to pack my things in pitch darkness. I think the stay would be much more comfortable if you happened to share the room with considerate people.

While the Mercure Brisbane King George Square serves as a perfectly fine and functional base, it didn't quite hit the 'excellent' mark I was expecting. The hotel's central CBD location is a massive highlight, making it incredibly easy to walk to public transport, shopping, and dining. However, the property and rooms are starting to feel quite dated and tired, lacking the modern, premium touches that truly elevate a hotel stay. Ultimately, it is a clean and convenient place to rest your head, but it is best suited for travelers prioritizing location over a luxury experience.

My Worst Experience at a W Hotel to Date I have stayed at various W properties, but my recent one-night stay at W Brisbane was easily my most disappointing experience with the brand. For a hotel that prides itself on design and luxury, the functional execution of the room was severely lacking. There were several significant issues that made for a very uncomfortable night: Poor Room Design: The air conditioning is positioned in a way that it blew directly onto my face all night. It was impossible to deflect, and I had to sleep on the other end of the bed. Then I had another issue below. Disruptive Noise: The in-room refrigerator was close the the bed and making distracting noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. Between the mechanical noise and the poorly placed AC, I barely got any rest. Maintenance & Cleanliness: after I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to find a visible hole in the bed sheets. This is not the level of quality control one expects from a five-star establishment. And the bath tub has visible torn and wears. Also the motel level toothbrush. Service: there was no staff at the door helped me and my 70 yo mom with our luggages. I hvae to acknowledge that we arrived quite late but I did expect quality service from a lux hotel. And also no free upgrade offered like my stays with other W. Honestly, I am just glad my stay was only for one night. I expected much better from the W brand and won't be rushing back to this particular location.
