Koh Phangan District Beach Hotels

A wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Kupu Kupu Phangan and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained—ideal for relaxation and well-being. A very special thank you goes to the fantastic team, especially Bank, AD, Micky, San, Aek, Lin, Ziny, Nonoe, and Foam. Everyone was always warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly. We were particularly touched by the loving and patient way our son was treated. As a family, we felt welcome from the very first moment. We would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend Kupu Kupu Phangan.

I want to leave a review about this hotel. The location is good; the only downside is the loud music in the evening and late into the night coming from the central beach. The room has all the necessary toiletries, including earplugs and razors. The bungalow-style rooms are the best thing here, because overall there are significantly more negatives. The service is not very good — the staff at the reception and in the restaurant seem indifferent. The beach is a bit dirty, with a lot of small stones that make it uncomfortable to walk. The sea is very shallow, and you have to walk quite far to get deep enough to swim. If you just want to lie around and relax like a hippo, it might suit you. The food in the restaurant is of a low standard. The room costs almost $190 per night, but the variety of food is very limited, and the products don’t seem to be of good quality. Cheese at breakfast was even served in its packaging. The only thing that really saves this hotel is the view from the room. We chose an ocean view. The hotel also offers free snorkeling masks.

A wonderful beach hotel! The grounds aren't huge, but they're very green and well-maintained. The bungalows are super cozy and charming. From any bungalow, it's no more than a 1-minute walk to the beach. There's a restaurant on-site serving both European and Thai cuisine. For breakfast, I even found oatmeal with mango! The beach is beautiful and long enough for a nice stroll. The sand is incredibly soft and fine. It does get a bit shallow at low tide. There's a Seven-Eleven about a 7-minute walk from the hotel along the main road.

Good service throughout our stay with staff being helpful and friendly. Has a nice pool area and loungers on beach front. In a good central location in Sairee area. The room we had was large and generally clean although does seem to have an issue with drain flies, despite trying to get rid of them each day there would be numerous more by the next day. Also be prepared for mosquitoes! Aside from this still recommend.

This wasn't our first visit to Koh Phangan, but it was our first time at this hotel. The staff was polite and helpful. After checking in, we were shown to a room on the third floor, on the edge, next to the road and the pumping station at the back of the hotel. We asked to be moved right away, without even entering the room. Without question, we were offered two other rooms to choose from. One was on the ground floor with access to the pool, but next to the road. The other was on the second floor, away from the road and further from the pumping station. We chose the second. By the way, the hotel has several price ranges, and ours was the cheapest! We booked a room with breakfast included, and we didn't regret it. Egg dishes, fresh herbs, fruit, buns, sausages, chicken, and more... overall, it was filling. The hotel is located next to a snorkeling spot, with lots of fish, shells, and sea urchins. We knew about this spot, so we went to this beach for our first four days. We made the right choice. The only downside is the air conditioner located directly above the bed. Turn it off and it's stuffy, but turn it on and it's immediately cold 🙄 Overall, it's a pretty decent hotel. The photo shows the view from the room. There was a sense of intimacy, as the building is U-shaped, with windows overlooking the courtyard and pool. It's very quiet.

The room is nice spacious and has a big mirror. The slippers they provided were so sehr ft and comfortable! Breakfast starts super early and there are lots of different things to choose from. Location is great. Even tho there are bars close by, you cant hear any of that.

We had an unforgettable week at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous, like a jungle, with a pool and the sea nearby (just as good as Ao Leuk beach). The breakfasts are wonderful, with something for everyone. The staff are friendly; I'd especially like to mention Kiat. There's also a dive school on-site, which is very convenient. The road to the hotel is one of the most scenic on the island – it's a real pleasure coming back here.

What a beautiful hotel set in the most glorious location. Can’t fault anything. We will be back

A beautiful, large hotel right on the seafront. It's located on a small hill, so there are quite a few steps. The breakfast restaurant is right by the sea, which I absolutely loved! Above the restaurant are bungalow-style cottages, then further up, a two or three-story building, and even higher, up a path and more steps, a large five-story building – that's where we stayed, on the top floor with a fantastic view! It was great that a staff member from reception carried our suitcase up 🤪, that's a definite plus for the hotel! Tip: Book a sea-view room, not one facing the bushes. Many people at reception were trying to change their rooms. Also, if you have trouble walking uphill or climbing lots of steps, this might be challenging for you. Overall: The hotel is in a great location. Our upgraded sea-view room was very spacious with a giant balcony offering a superb view. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but being able to sit right by the sea made up for it. However, I got the feeling the hotel isn't well-maintained – the bed linen was wrinkled, greyish, and looked cheap, which was quite unpleasant. There was a TV in the room, but it wasn't connected; a loose cable was lying behind the wardrobe (we didn't need the TV, so we weren't bothered). There was no kettle, but we asked for one and they brought it. The room was large, but for some reason, there was only one bedside table and no wardrobe for clothes, and the safe didn't work. But we tried to ignore these things and just enjoy the amazing view from the balcony and the overall beauty of the surroundings! Our room was 5101. P.S. I hope the management reads this and starts taking better care of their wonderful hotel!
