Koh Phangan District Hotels with Pools

We had a wonderful stay at Kupu Kupu Phangan and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained—ideal for relaxation and well-being. A very special thank you goes to the fantastic team, especially Bank, AD, Micky, San, Aek, Lin, Ziny, Nonoe, and Foam. Everyone was always warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly. We were particularly touched by the loving and patient way our son was treated. As a family, we felt welcome from the very first moment. We would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend Kupu Kupu Phangan.

We stayed at Milky Bay Resort and were, on the whole, very satisfied. What we particularly liked was the accommodation in separate bungalows, which really created a sense of privacy and tranquility. Our room was spacious, with its own terrace – a lovely spot to spend time in the morning or evening. A big plus for us was the free on-site parking, as we had rented a car and actively explored the island. The resort has a cozy restaurant with calm, unobtrusive music playing, which creates a very relaxing atmosphere. There are sun loungers near the beach – it was really pleasant to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while admiring the bay view. The only, and quite significant, downside was the strong low tides. During our stay, the water receded very far, making swimming at the hotel beach practically impossible. However, we took this as an opportunity to get to know the island better, discovering new beaches and beautiful spots around Koh Phangan every day. Overall, it's a very cozy and atmospheric hotel for a peaceful getaway, especially if you plan to rent transport and explore the island independently. 🌴☀️

I really liked the hotel. We rented a family apartment, unit 1. It had a living room with a bunk bed and a small kitchenette, plus one bedroom with a large bed. The staff were friendly, helped with our luggage, and let us check in earlier than scheduled. The rooms were clean, and water was replenished daily. There was air conditioning, and both hot and cold water. There was a TV, but the Wi-Fi was weak and sometimes cut out. The kitchen had a kettle, toaster, and stove. The hotel is situated a bit further inland on the island, nestled in a small wooded area. Insects were sometimes a bother. And sometimes at night and in the mornings, there would be noise – maybe birds, or squirrels, or some other unknown creature. A cat here, after receiving affection from our family, decided it would start visiting us for food. And I must say, it was persistent; it could sit by our door for days. One morning, I saw a scene: the cat was sitting next to the lower half of a squirrel, right by our door. Not such an innocent kitty after all! We couldn't hear any traffic. We rode scooters to the beach; walking wasn't an option. Within walking distance, there's a 7-Eleven, scooter rentals, local eateries, and laundromats. The pool was clean and pleasant, about 1.5 meters deep. The only thing we didn't like was the layout of the paths specifically leading to our bungalow. In my opinion, they were illogically designed; there were steps in some places where you could easily trip and fall, potentially needing help to get up if you were unlucky. My wife only ended up with scrapes on her knees. It would be more logical to have a direct path, but here you have to go around, doubling or even tripling the distance to and from the bungalow. But I guess some people might not mind it. Overall, I'd say we were happy with the place and enjoyed our stay. Thank you, I wish you good sales and satisfied guests!

We came here based on reviews and didn't expect it to be this nice! Everything was perfect. This single accommodation has absolutely everything. Room: The room was very clean, and the bed was so soft and comfy I barely wanted to leave it – I slept so well! Staff: Everyone provided excellent service, always smiling and cheerful. They treated us like family or friends, recommending things without us even having to ask. Atmosphere: The surroundings are very peaceful. There's a private beach with plenty of activities: volleyball, table tennis, snorkeling, island hopping by small boat, jumping rock, and even scuba diving lessons. Kayaking is also available. They have so many services, all in one place! We'll definitely be back to stay again next time. #The accommodation is in Tanote Bay, towards the end of the island, but it's absolutely the best!

Hostel 10/10 ⭐ The hostel offers a lot of activities. There's a shuttle that takes you to the beach at 1:30 PM and picks you up at 4 PM. The beaches change every day, which is a nice touch. There's also a shuttle for sunset viewing at 5:30 PM, returning at 7 PM. Each floor has common areas, which I found to be very clean. The 6-person dorm room was spacious, exactly as pictured. Plus, there's a pool at the hostel. On the downside, the location isn't very lively for nightlife; the parties are on the opposite side of the island. There's no Grab, only taxis starting from 200 baht per ride.

We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely resort and would highly recommend it. The highlight for us was staying in the sea view villa—the views over the ocean and the stunning sunsets were absolutely incredible. The rooms are genuinely nice, though it is worth noting that the bathroom is open with glass walls and no traditional door separating it from the rest of the room. Its not a big issue but if you like your privacy it could be annoying.The resort is quiet and away from the main hustle and bustle. Keep in mind that the property is located on a steep hill, and once you get up there, you still have to navigate a lot of stairs to actually reach the rooms. However, the hotel handles this well with a golf cart service to take you up and down, and the staff take care of carrying your bags to your room.

Good service throughout our stay with staff being helpful and friendly. Has a nice pool area and loungers on beach front. In a good central location in Sairee area. The room we had was large and generally clean although does seem to have an issue with drain flies, despite trying to get rid of them each day there would be numerous more by the next day. Also be prepared for mosquitoes! Aside from this still recommend.

We had a pleasant stay at Beach Club by Haadtien, but with mixed feelings. The location is beautiful: a lovely bay in a peaceful setting. The room itself was fine and we appreciated the daily fresh towels (both for the bathroom and the beach/pool) as well as the complimentary bottled water. The food in the restaurant is also good, although we found it relatively expensive by Thai standards. At the same time there are several aspects that, especially given the price of the hotel, should be better. The sound insulation is very poor: you can literally understand what your neighbours are saying, and music as well as footsteps from the rooms above or adjacent are clearly audible. This makes getting a good night’s sleep more a matter of luck than comfort. In addition, the sliding door to the balcony did not close properly, which affects both comfort and the efficiency of the air conditioning which I thought was a pity, especially on an island where energy use should be taken seriously. Housekeeping and general maintenance could also be improved. In this price range, you would not expect to find squashed mosquitoes on the walls. The property and the room show signs of wear and tear in several places, such as broken tiles and damage to the floor. There was also quite a bit of plastic on the beach, although we realise this may not be entirely within the hotel’s control. The shuttle service to the village is a nice addition, but having to reserve it a day in advance makes it less flexible than you would hope. Overall conclusion: A beautifully located hotel with a good foundation, but it falls short in several important areas given the price. For us, this would be a reason to consider other options next time. Overall, we did not feel it was worth the money.

Stayed with my friends for one night. The location next to the night market is super convenient. We didn't check how far it was to the beach, as that wasn't our focus. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Everything looked lovely. We especially loved having direct access from our room to the pool – that was amazing! Big thanks, if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back ❤️ (They even made adorable swans out of towels) 🥹🥹🥹

What a beautiful hotel set in the most glorious location. Can’t fault anything. We will be back
