Amazing
RRejane EsmanhotoThis place is wonderful, you immediately feel at home. Mango manages it with love and effort. Everything is new and clean, room is big, bed is comfortable and has everything you need (plug, lamp, shelf, curtain, even hanger), locker inside the room, good shower. There’s a common kitchen with water, coffee, tea and biscuits all the time, microwave, toaster and fridge. Upstairs there’s a big bar and sofa, a great place to hang out or even work. Yoga mats available too if you want. You can park bike for free. Close to everything you might need in Baan Tai. I’ve been in many hostels around Asia and this is one of the best cared for I've ever been. If you need anything, Mango is really open to help you and arrange whatever you need. Even before coming, I booked the wrong night and it was not possible to change on Trip, but I contacted them via email and they immediately fixed it for me. Booked for one night and ended up extending. I recommend with my eyes closed.

MMinaBStayed in a Beach Chalet. Beautiful room!! Clean and comfortable. As a solo female traveler, always felt safe. Great restaurant. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere. Loved the Cape Dutch architecture, the beautiful trees/garden, and decor.

Review:
Our stay featured a beautiful location with stunning views, complemented by delicious food at the restaurant. However, service shortcomings were noticeable. Despite the helpful mosquito spray in the room, we faced inconveniences like a lack of beach towels and no assistance offered to remedy this. Additionally, a non-functional torch in our room posed a safety risk, highlighted by my daughter slipping on the villa steps due to inadequate lighting. While the setting and cuisine impress, attention to service details and guest safety needs improvement.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay at Kupu Kupu. It would be nice if the hotel could also offer complimentary water at the pool in the high temperatures. The pool was not cooled and the water was very very warm. Here and there the cleanliness could be better. It was a nice stay, but in the price category you can at least expect this. Thank you!

GGuest UserBeautiful location along a calm bay with coral reef only a couple of feet into the water .
Room was clean and very comfortable.
We had two children aged 9 and 14 and they felt safe and welcome at the location . The beds for the children were not included in the booking and additional fee had to be paid upon arrival , this was the only strange option as our booking party stated the exact number of guests.
We ate at the restaurant and the food quality was very good albeit a little more expensive than the surrounding restaurants.
We would return to this place again in the future

DDomingos RIt's a nice and relaxing beach, to get away and wind off a bit. The room was super clean and new, and was quite nice with a balcony. There are very few plugs in the room, and the bedside plug was obstructed by the mattress and the bed, so it was unusable.
There's a pool but it had a lot of sand from the kids running in and out of the beach and jumping directly into the pool... The beach, facing sunrise, is perfect and one of the nicest ones on the island, along with the larger one on the other bay next door. The SUPs and kayaks were old and broken. It had a very nice breakfast, which was included.
Service was good, but I was upset that they claimed the hotel was going to be fully booked and couldn't offer a late checkout, although there were plenty of rooms available on trip.com to book, and when later that day I said that, they changed the story and said my room was already booked for the next day.

PPregashBeautiful majestic location, sadly being made the most of to make money. Everything is double charged as opposed to the nearby islands. The first impressions were very bad, as there was no communication as to what time the ”complimentary” ferry left Koh Tao for Nangyuan. We were dumped in a boat with our luggage with no one to tell us when we are leaving. After my asking we are told in broken English that the boat doesn't leave for another hour and a half! We get to Nangyuan, there is no direct apology really, but breakfast added in without a word said. The breakfast was nice but dinner completely bland and overpriced. Snorkels, chair and parasol free of charge but again no communication. We sort of had to figure it out ourselves. Thankfully the peacefulness of the island means after such lack of communications, and facing staff with stern attitude, all is okay in the end. I would not spend three days there again unfortunately due to the staff's attitude and behaviour. 1 or max 2 days will suffice, as you can visit the island from elsewhere anyway.

MMVCarvalhoThe place is very beatiful with amazing view, but for 4 stars hotel they need to make improvements in general, service, food and facilities.
The hotel is too far from the center about 40 min by car, and the hotel doesn’t provide any shuttle for free, if you want to go to the city for any reason you have to pay.
Breakfast: there is variety of food but I’m my opinion it’s not a good quality, I was expecting more.
Facilities: swimming pool and sun beds is ok, they provide one kind of fabric but isn’t towel.
Room: my room was beatiful and clean, but so dark, bathroom the floor was a kind of tiles slippery and little bit, this is a kind of hazards.
