"Overall, quite decent. Its location directly opposite the JR station is fantastic. The room was on the smaller side, but the breakfast was delicious. You'll find plenty of shops and supermarkets in the vicinity. During my stay, the JR station plaza was even hosting a summer night market, featuring lots of grilled goodies and beer!"
"Really love everything here. Good price with superb service. We met two Thai staff (Gen & Toi) and they were very helpful. Recommend the nice restaurant in the mall. The room was nice and clean. We will comeback again for sure. Very easy to go for shopping :)"
"Very near to JR Asahikawa Station. The rooms are standard Japanese size, clean, and the bed is comfortable, though large luggage can feel cramped. Guests can enjoy a complimentary open/public bath on the top floor and free evening drinks in the lounge.
Breakfast is a highlight, featuring fresh sashimi alongside Japanese and Western options. Parking is ¥1,000/day, and AEON shopping mall is within walking distance. One drawback is the lack of an in-room safe, so valuables should be stored at the front desk.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient choice for travelers seeking location, amenities, and a touch of local flavor over spacious rooms."
"We liked the Dormy chain hotels. Our stay at the Dormy Inn Asahikawa was great. Room is clean, bedsheets & towels were new & fluffy. The onsen is on the top floor & has an outdoor pool very appealing to watch the sky during onsen. Breakfast was superb good. Location is strategic too & walking distance to some great restaurants. Happy & will come back again. Highly recommended."
"Facilities: Though compact, this hotel is perfectly equipped and thoughtfully designed, making excellent use of every space. It has everything you could need, and the large windows, facing directly onto the JR station, ensure the room feels bright and spacious, never cramped.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness is excellent. They even offer a complimentary drink if you choose to opt out of daily room cleaning during your stay.
Location: Its location is superb: just a short right turn from the JR station exit, with a bus stop right downstairs offering direct routes to Shirogane Onsen and the Blue Pond. Within 500 meters, you'll find a 7-Eleven, Lawson, a drugstore, and a large supermarket. A little further walk leads to a vibrant food street. This makes it incredibly convenient, and it would be my first choice for any future trip to Asahikawa. It's also an ideal base for exploring Biei and Furano, making day trips absolutely hassle-free.
Service: While the front desk staff (specifically the lady I interacted with) may not be fluent in English, she was incredibly warm and enthusiastic."
"When I booked, I saw photos in the reviews of guests enjoying breakfast with a view, and it certainly lived up to expectations. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor, offering an absolutely superb view. The food selection was also quite good, and I didn't get tired of it even after eating there for two consecutive days. The coffee was surprisingly decent for hotel standards; I had two cups every morning.
The room itself was small, as is typical for Japanese hotels. However, the upside is that everything is within arm's reach; you don't even need to get out of bed to grab something.
The surrounding area is excellent. Being located right on a pedestrian street, you're just a few steps away from shopping and dining."

"The breakfast was a stand out! Yum!
The morning staff are awesome too.
Onsen is a bit hot so you can’t stay in long and not having towels on hand is a let down too.
The hotel is in a great location tho with nice views over the city, good price and helpful, enthusiastic staff. I recommend this place and we will return."
"A very good choice. The staff are very nice. The bathhouse is a bit small. You can't take a bath for too long because you have to take someone else's seat. Everything else is very good. It's worth recommending."
"Wonderful experience.
Very polite staff esp Mr. 鄭 in the front desk.
Sake and hot spring provide pleasant relief after everyday's traveling.
Coffee is also very good. (I add some milk myself)
They also provide free drinks in the vendor machine after the hot spring.
And don't forget they also provide free ice pop and hot soup.
All these complimentary service enrich the experience.
I have stayed in several hotels in asahigawa, the WBF is the best and I will certainly want to stay in the future!"

Very Good
BBOVery general, the price is not high. First of all, there is no restaurant nearby. We don’t know which predecessor said that the store will produce delicious soba noodles. ! Secondly, the sound insulation is particularly bad, plus we stayed in the next night, 12 young men (the names on the doors of both rooms, I counted, one six, add up to twelve) and sipped at two in the morning. Drunk, open a party in the room. I am angered, directly slammed the door, the Chinese, English and Japanese three words together, went downstairs to call the doorkeeper uncle. Finally, I can't communicate. The front desk and I also hold the same kind of translation, and talk to each other.
GGuest UserFor a short stay, it is fine for us in all aspect. The hotel and our room seems a little outdated and may need refurbish as the lighting looks a little dim everywhere.
GGuest UserThis review is mainly for the outstanding cafe / coffee shop in the lobby. The team is incredible. They remember me and how I like my coffee, and even though honey isn't available in the cafe the head barrista guy went and found some for me. This makes me feel really super loyal towards OMO hotels in general.
My one note from staying the night is the weird bedding. There is something poking my skin from the inside of the bedding, I don't know if it's down feathers, but even when I'm not moving, there is the sensation of something ”biting” me. I don't think it's bed bugs, which usually leave red marks. But the bedding is weird and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I absolutely love the cafe, and the lobby in general is like the Grand Hotels of the previous era. It's my favorite place in Asahikawa. If the beds were improved I would always stay here. Thank you again to the great team in the cafe for making me feel welcome and for giving me the VIP service, you guys are really awesome.
GGuest UserI was a little worried because of the low rating, but in fact, there was nothing wrong with it except that the space was a little small. I was very happy to book a hotel with good value for money during the Asahikawa Snow Festival. The hotel's exterior decoration is quite unique. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the JR station. There are also many restaurants downstairs. Asahikawa is beautiful. I hope I can have the opportunity to come again in the future.
GGuest UserArt Hotel is one of the best hotels in Asahikawa. Very professional staff and this hotel has a lot of amenities! Sauna, spa, basement gym, even room service which seems like a vanishing amenity. So any hotel which still offers room service, seems like a real treat. They are only open from 5:30-8PM, I wish they offered breakfast room service, especially considering they have a bakery on site. Also, staff seem very flustered when trying to speak English, which surprised me. But this is a great hotel, extremely professional, and I even extended my stay for a few more days. Thanks very much to Art Hotel staff for a nice stay in Hokkaido.
Aatist ratanasaengsuang- We driving there so the location was good enough (not far away from the town (5-10 mins)
- One of the most surprised hotel as 1st time thinking quite old hotel when we make a reservation, they just made little renovation of hotel and big renovationof their onsen
SsyudzYou need a car for this location.
But, the hotel is awesome especially for kids.
They have many play spaces, board games, and breakfast can be taken up in the hallway or brought to the room. Very nice home cooked warm meal, and very friendly kitchen lady.
And a very huge room and bath.Love my stay and will recommend this hotel.
HHaiyanna, changdianxinbaThe hotel's location is excellent, just one block away from Asahikawa Station. Room size is decent, but the rooms are quite dated and have low ceilings. The single rooms on the 18th floor have outward-facing windows, offering good natural light and making the space feel bright. However, the double rooms on the 16th floor have inward-facing windows, which makes them quite dim. Moreover, there's a persistent rumbling noise at night, seemingly from some ventilation equipment or similar machinery nearby. If you're sensitive to noise, it's best to avoid rooms on the 16th floor.
GGuest UserThe Asahikawa Toyo Hotel is an old school hotel. It is within walking distance of the Asahikawa train station or a short bus ride away. There are many eateries and little grocery stores nearby. We had some delicious food nearby and found the location to be relatively good.
The hotel seems to have seen better days but still maintains a semblance of cleanliness. We didn’t find much to complain about it. Perfectly adequate for a night’s stay.
