"The hotel was just across the street from Asahikawa station and AEON, which was super convenient. Breakfast was really enjoyable and worth the add-on to the room price. Although room was a bit small, it was quaint and cozy. It was snowing the day after we arrived. The park behind the train station was really pretty!"

"It's about a 15-minute walk from JR, which was a bit tiring with luggage. Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or people, it'll save you time and effort. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open two 30-inch suitcases. There's a sauna upstairs, but we heard it was a bit stuffy, so we didn't try it. The service was pretty good, and breakfast was decent too."

"The hotel is new and the location is great, just across the street from Asahikawa Station. There's also a Komeda cafe about a two-minute walk away, which is much less crowded than the one in Sapporo. I even found a glass mug there that was sold out in Sapporo! It's a good alternative for breakfast if you don't book the hotel's.
My child is seven, so they counted as an adult, and we booked a triple room. It was a bit pricey. It had three mattresses on a raised platform, which was quite spacious. We pushed the mattresses together to free up some space on the platform for our clothes; otherwise, it would have been a tight squeeze.
The bathroom was nice, and the entire room design was very smart. There's a public bath on the rooftop, which my husband and son enjoyed, while I preferred the privacy of soaking in the bathtub in our room.
The lobby has a co-working space and offers complimentary drinks and tea. We encountered a Chinese-speaking staff member during check-in, which was a pleasant experience.
The breakfast was pretty good. On the first day, we had to rush through it to head to Asahidake, but on the second day, we took our time and tried everything.
P.S. My child locked their beloved jelly in the safe and then forgot the code. We had to call a staff member to open it. I spoke English, the staff member spoke Japanese, and my child spoke Chinese. It was quite an adventure with everyone speaking different languages!"

"I stayed at Y’s Hotel Asahikawa Station during a self-drive trip. One thing to note is that the navigation may direct you to a nearby parking lot, which initially made us think we were at the wrong place. From there, it’s a short walk to the hotel. Parking costs around 1200 yen per night.
The room itself was quite standard — nothing particularly special. We also felt that the price we paid was a bit on the higher side for what was offered.
That said, the location is very convenient. The hotel is right next to the JR station, with AEON, MUJI, and other shops nearby. It’s also easy to get to Asahiyama Zoo from here.
Overall, a practical stay mainly for its location and convenience."

"Excellent clean hotel that provided all the basic amenities for my stay. There were other services such as laundry and ice machines. There was also a lounge area where you can have a drink and read a book they provide and huge public bath in the hotel! It was very worth the price I paid for a night.
JR Asahikawa Station was located right next to the hotel so it’s very convenient for those who are looking to travel out of town via train to places such as Furano, Biei, Nayoro and Kamikawa.
The staff were all very friendly and courteous too! I would definitely choose this hotel to stay in again when I come back to Asahikawa!"

"The hotel is very convenient, close to the JR station, and there's a convenience store across the street with very helpful staff. Plus, the hotel offers unlimited free drinks, saving us a lot on beverage costs. "Great experience! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the station, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The rooms and facilities are relatively new, and the onsen (hot spring) is quite spacious. Breakfast was delicious. There's also a humidifier provided in the room.
The only minor downside is that the last entry for breakfast is 9 AM, so I ended up wasting my breakfast voucher on the first day 😂"

"Hotel Route Inn Grand is a decent hotel that meets basic expectations. The 'Grand' version, being a step up from the regular Route Inn, fulfilled my minimum requirements for accommodation. I've stayed in at least four of them across Hokkaido, and they're consistently neither surprising nor disappointing. That day, I visited Shikisai no Oka in Biei, which was absolutely beautiful."

GGuest UserDue to high demand, our second night was in a smoking room, and it definitely had a strong odor. However, there was a spray bottle on the wall, and after using it, the air quality improved significantly. The hygiene was very good, and the room had amenities like a kettle and a fridge. Plus, it's very close to Asahikawa Station, which was great.

AAmAmHUANI understand that the hotel’s breakfast hours are from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and we arrived at 9:02 am, slightly late as we were packing our luggage and preparing to check out. By then, the kitchen staff were already putting away the food and preparing to close the breakfast area. I quickly took a bowl of soup from what was still available. However, one of the kitchen staff members looked at me and rolled her eyes, which felt rude and unnecessary.
The front desk staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, the stay was great!

We called ahead to arrange parking for our rental car, and the staff member we spoke with was incredibly helpful and pleasant over the phone, ensuring a smooth parking experience. While the hotel itself is a bit dated, we found it to be exceptionally clean and well-maintained.
Happy hour offered complimentary drinks and curry rice. We immediately toasted with beer, followed by a satisfying curry rice to round it off! The breakfast buffet also had a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied!
We would definitely want to stay here again if we ever return to Asahikawa! Highly recommended!

ZZhouyoujixiaozhouDue to frequent JR cancellations during my arrival, I considered canceling my Asahikawa trip. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel and the platform, and providing JR's official cancellation notice, the hotel's firm refusal to issue a refund was truly disappointing. The hotel itself is decent; its strengths are its direct visibility from Asahikawa Station and the spacious rooms. There's a more famous hotel across the street, but overall, the hotel's facilities are quite old, and the experience wasn't particularly cozy. It's acceptable as a stopover for exploring the surrounding areas.

GGuest UserVery professional hotel and the rooms have a cool layout. I love that the windows actually open so you can get fresh air. The mattresses are very firm (good for your back) but the pillows are kind of weird memory foam blocks, so that was a bit awkward. I put a shirt under one pillow to bring it up to normal height for my neck. They are too low otherwise but stacking two of them is way too much, I would suggest putting a mixture of fluffy normal pillows and these memory foam things.
Otherwise the hotel is pretty great, relaxed atmosphere, right on the main street and very close to two different Lawson kombinis, and a Mister Donut is literally right next door and stays open late. So you're in a great spot. You can do anything at R Hotels. I felt really good energy and the staff were super professional and friendly. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

GGuest UserStayed during the off-season, so the room rate was very affordable. The rooms were all very clean. Although it's a bit far from JR station, about a 15-minute walk, it's still acceptable. There's a spa on the first basement floor that's open until midnight. Breakfast is on the 15th floor with a beautiful view. I booked breakfast for two days, and the menu didn't change at all. There was a decent variety of dishes, but no seafood bowls or anything like that, which was a bit disappointing. What was great, though, is that they replenished the food very frequently when it ran out.

There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. There's a self-service laundry room on the ground floor; washing and drying are separate, and the dryer isn't very efficient, so plan your laundry time accordingly. The restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very rich with daily rotating dishes – they put a lot of effort into it. The location is great, not far from Asahikawa Station, and dining is very convenient with many restaurants to choose from.

GGuest UserHotel Crescent is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. Very professional and nice staff, even the cleaning people make an effort to manage their noise if they know someone is still sleeping in a room, which is above and beyond. The staff at Crescent kept my luggage for a long time when my return trip got delayed which was a huge relief. The lobby gives such a unique atmosphere, it's at once august and stately, like one of the grand art deco hotels of the past era, but it also has a fun little gift shop area and a cafe, so it feels relaxed. Crescent is just a really friendly place where you don't have to worry about anything. Their website explains their ”Kaizen” philosophy, which now is a famous Japanese management philosophy of continuous improvement in each area. It really shows at this hotel. This is the kind of hotel you end up becoming a better person because the staff is so professional and kind. Thank you for a great stay and for being one of my favorite places in Japan :)

KKeong Lengonsen hotel a bit far out on the hill but if you are driving than no an issue, free parking tho and the staffs are very friendly. public onsen is big and fun for families, wearing yukata and playing at the game room is just nostalgia, bring back good old memories :) wooden locker key is kinda cool 😎 room size is just nice
