Amazing hotel! I loved the room and the facilities provided (gym and launderette). Easy distance from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and chemists. Really clean and comfort based. The only thing that disappointed me was that had I booked a premier studio room (hoping that’s the correct term) with a harbor view but was allocated a room with no view (city or harbor) upon check-in. Had to request for a different room and the staff were happy to reallocate but I believe the room was a less expensive one (since I lost the premier studio facilities) and was not offered any refunds for that.

Location is good - close to China town and 20 min walk to Central Station. Cleanliness is ok - the place is a bit old so there are stains on the sofa but it does not impact the overall experience much. The room is quite spacious as well as the bathroom. Could be a bit noisy though cause insulation is not very good - you can hear someone cough/ close the door/ speaking outside.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood and found the experience to be satisfactory. The hotel's location is convenient, situated within a short walking distance to public transport and a shopping center, which made exploring the area quite easy. The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable environment for rest. However, I noticed that the breakfast options were somewhat limited, which was a slight drawback. The rooftop pool and Skye Bar were highlights of the stay, offering a pleasant space to relax and enjoy views of the city. Overall, while there were some areas that could benefit from improvement, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood was acceptable and met basic expectations.

Impressive lobby. Nice restaurant and bar. Front desk is polite & efficient if somewhat cold and robotic. Rooms are not sound proofed from the outside- stayed on the 4th level in a deluxe room- windows weren't double glazed and seal was poor- traffic & street noise audible and disruptive to sleep. Draft coming in from the poorly sealed windows can be felt. Otherwise the room was reasonably comfortable- bedding was comfy, the usual amenities and large enough TV screen. The bathroom was cramped and small, just functional. Overall, not sure if I will return again given the poor soundproofing of the rooms. The only advantage is its proximity to the international airport terminal. Otherwise just an average stay.

I enjoyed the flawless performance from check in. It took a very short time to get me through,we appreciate that especially having travelled for four hours to Newcastle! The breakfast was superb and a great menu for everyone… Our daughter loved the choice of cereals and fruits and keep it up! See you again sometime this New Year 2025 I was just concerned about the parking fee ; Upon checking was informed it cost me 16$ for a day,we stayed 4 days and last night I realized was charged 128 $ which means was charged double or to my understanding  does a day  means 12 hrs ? Thank you

Very convenient location ( a few minutes walk from Wynyard station, cafes, Barangaroo). Clean and newly renovated rooms Hassle-free and quick check-in and out process I got upgraded to a King bed room and was able to avail myself of a free early check when I signed up for the Accor membership.

My family had a great time at Sydney Central Hotel. The receptionists checked us in early and gave us a late checkout and there was a kid’s corner for my kids to play at. The room was quite retro and cozy, and the beds were very soft and comfortable to sleep in. The TV also had many nice channels that my kids enjoyed watching. Also, the breakfast was delicious and there was a fruit juice machine there. The bathtub was good. Lotion was provided. Corridor has funny smell. The Landry room was very useful. However, the swimming pool was very small. No slippers, no water provided. Toothbrush on request.

VVSingWhen I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went. Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement. However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in. Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for. To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options. Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels. That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day. Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent. Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past. Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions. The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much. Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives. If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

BBThe location is excellent, not too far away fro town hall train station and light rail. Next to George street which is the main shopping strip. Room is ok, a bit small but good size. Sink cracked but usable. One of the cup has black dot/dirt on it, and toilet cover stained, but they are minor issue.

EElisayustianaI am staying for 5 nights here, the room is quite big, and has the separating door for bed, it has a pool and gym, breakfast cafe is next to the hotel What i considered this hotel is because their washing machine and dryer inside the bedroom. The minus are - this is old hotel, and for that price i guess i can get more facilities than here - the bed is very smallll ( smaller than queen size) - the lobby also very small ( but u can get free coffee in the lobby ) - smelly When u out from the lift, u can smell something that is like old and food idk whats that but it is so smelly. For Cleaning they always change the towel and helping us to throwing the trash.

DDaniellaJadeI enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room had three single beds, which was perfect for our group, and the beds were really comfy. The room itself was a bit run down, but nothing too bad. The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. The location was fantastic—close to everything we needed!

AAnonymous UserThis unit is over-priced. We stayed in a double unit, the two of us, which is better suited to either 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids which would justify the price. Upstairs is almost a carbon copy of downstairs in that both have almost full kitchens (no ovens), excellent reverse cycle air conditioning, TV's etc. Other than a very old, very off carton of milk left in the fridge the unit was exceptionally clean. Upon arriving, we were asked to pay which we had already done when booking. Beware no refunds once booked although this didn't apply in our case. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful. Had to ask for toilet paper and purchase milk as only two small milk thimbles in fridge. Expected to wash up, dry and put away dishes and utensils before leaving and remove all garbage. We usually do this anyway but I thought it was quite an ask to be expected at those prices. It's post-Covid so I am wondering if lack of staff is the reason for this and perhaps this may change in the future. No buffet or restaurant on site. No room service. Don't expect any meals. No foxtel as advertised. At least we couldn't get it but they did have Netflix provided. We took our chromecast with us, thank goodness! The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Maybe 25 metres? Also, in the afternoon a lot of it is shaded. It's not heated so it's pretty chilly even in late November. The beach is gorgeous but the room we had didn't have views and the units are in the street behind the main shops so whilst very close to the beach (a mere two minutes) it isn't overlooking the beach. Also, very tight carpark if you have a larger car. I would recommend the family unit or double unit for 3 to 4 people. Otherwise stick to a single unit. I probably would not return unless with another couple because there are nicer places with more amenities that don't expect you to do the housework at the same or even better prices.

KKat OThe hotel is located in a great and laid back environment. Away from the busy city and a short 5 mins walk to the Macquerie Park Metro Station, 25 mins walk to the Macquerie Centre, with Mac KFC and Asian Food Eateries located just opposite across the hotel. There is also a direct public bus from the hotel to Birkenhead Point Outlet and City! The hotel even provide the daily house keeping services throughout the Christmas Period, thanks to the team for everything! We hope to be back and stay again in the future 👍🏻

AAnonymous UserManaged to check in earlier in the morning with an additional charge. Service was great from the onset and the location is impeccable. I got a room o. The 14th floor and the only downside is that the corridor reeks of chlorine as it is the passageway to the rooftop pool - lots of dripping wet guests passing by too. Aircon in the room was great! You can even change the colours of the light strips, but there are sewer flies which was a little bit of a turnoff
