I had a great stay at TOC Hostel in Madrid. The rooms are modern and spacious, and I really appreciated that the beds were made upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and chill, which made the atmosphere even better. I also loved the fact that the key to access the room was simply my fingerprint—such a cool and convenient feature! The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from SOL metro station, right in the heart of the city. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say, everything was perfect.

Very bad hostel because bedding is not normal mattress is a Inflatable plastic mattress
Is uncomfortable
That’s why very cheap if you need to sleep well do not book this hostel
Inflatable plastic mattress very bad
But staff very friendly and good assistance
So stress when I book another hotel because very headache not able to sleep at Inflatable plastic mattress
Location ok
I hadn't read that the bathroom was shared but the price was so good that you can't say anything. Colq also included in a nearby bar
It can be difficult to find parking
The hotel is located in a good neighbourhood, close to two supermarkets, the metro station is 10 minutes away, the room was great but there were hairs on the bed sheets, though the rest of the room was clean and the room was cleaned every day
Mixed feelings about services as some of the staff were friendly, while some of them weren't. Amenities wise there isn't anything to speak about, it's a very basic hotel but generally clean except some stains on the blankets which can be overlooked
Unfortunately, the room smells bad because of the large number of beds and poor ventilation due to the smell of shoes. It is impossible to sleep despite the attention paid to cleanliness by the workers.
The room was clean and the bathroom also clean and had everything I needed. I have absolutely no complaints there.
WLAN worked well and reliably, except for a few disconnects, but it was not included.
The cleaning personnel offered to clean the room more frequently than was necessary, which was fine, but I don't need my room to be cleaned every day or even every second day. I keep it quite clean anyway.
The only thing I missed was a little fridge to put drinks in, so that I could cool water bottles or milk.
The reception desk people were also always friendly and understood my bad Spanish and were helpful. Thank you.
If you don't have to be in the very center of Madrid, the location of this hotel is still fine, since the metro is merely 5min away walking distance and quickly gets you anywhere in Madrid.
Super clean place, top for a short term, really calm, cozy and cool area near to the city center by public transport. A bit of noise inside the rooms but highly recommended in general.

GGuest UserIt was a great hotel to spend a few days!
The room was a toilet and glass shower room.
You can see YouTube on TV!
Access was very good because the tourist spots were right away! It is about 5 minutes from the nearest station.
The hotel is lift to the lobby 🛗, and the room has only stairs, so you have to bring your suitcase up by yourself!
Please note that you can't leave your luggage for free before check-in time!
MMochichimmyTruly enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and the stay is comfortable and pleasant. The room is spacious and very clean. Baggage storage is available as the hotel as well. Hotel is well situated near city center which is really convenient.
GGuest UserThe room is small, but it is described in the room description, so it is in line with expectations. The room is clean and sanitary, the decoration is small and exquisite, it is a budget hotel with reasonable price, as the name says, it is a good choice for those who consider the budget. For a budget hotel, the breakfast is not good, but it is a pity that there are no vegetables.
AANNEI went with a friend for a four day visit to Madrid and needed a hotel that did single rooms and was central. This hotel is located perfectly with nearby access to Atocha rail station and the express bus from the airport, and with Estación de Artes the Metro line also nearby and only 3 stops from Sol.
The reception is staffed with very helpful individuals with infinite patience, which we nearly tested whilst trying to get out. Larding cards into a format that could be printed. We arrived bonfire our rooms were ready and after checking in they were whisked away to a secure room whilst we went to explore the Prado
The rooms are very well appointed with a mini fridge, many electricity outlets at waist height, reasonable lighting, a large wardrobe with secure safe inside, and sufficient hangers
The en suite was small but sufficient, the shower was powerful and hot, and the complimentary shower gel pleasant
The bed was comfy, a spare blanket available if needed, and the bed linen and towels changed frequently during our short stay.
Both rooms had small balconies, sadly due to the constant rain we didn’t use them
We will be back!

GGuest UserThe paper towel dispenser didn't work, the air conditioning didn't work, and it was hot. We had to sleep with the window open, and the hotel faces a plaza where people are always shouting until late at night. The elevator didn't work. Breakfast left a lot to be desired; the trays are washed and stored wet, so they get a very bad smell. I wouldn't recommend it, but the location is EXCELLENT, very close to Gran Via and the Chueca and Gran Via stations.
MMr Nobody Excellent location less than a 10-minute walk from Atocha station.
It is an ideal place to spend the night and continue your trip or if you plan to spend the whole day visiting Madrid and are looking for affordable accommodation near Atocha, Cibeles or Retiro Park, etc.
Our room was very simple with a sink, shower tray and towels. The bathroom was outside the room and shared with other guests, in our opinion the bathroom was quite clean.
GGuest UserNear the city center and all sightseeing spots, I just walk to all places I want to go. The room is clean and nice, facing the street but not too noisy if close the window. Got shampoo in the bathroom. Staffs are friendly. Very nice experience overall.
CCouCouCourtneyI was surprised at the price of hostels in Madrid. This one was on the lower end of the spectrum but it was very well thought out.
The staff was friendly and deals very well with customer service issues. They also offered info on the city upon arrival and recommendations.
There is a well equipped and well organized kitchen with free tea all day and churros/ coffee in the morning. The terrace bar is nice with a friendly bartender. Rooms have lockers under the beds and each bed has a curtain, outlet and reading light. There are fun details all over the hostel, even embroidered in the comforters.
It can get a little noisy, but you are in a hostel, so manage your expectations accordingly (and bring earplugs ;))
Supermarkets, the metro, bars, restaurants, sol, and the plaza mayor are all within walking distance.
Note: there is a fee to use the hot tub.
