Located in Kriens, Ballpark hostel is just 12 minutes bus ride to the station and center. The price is great and you get a lot for this price. Room for four has a bathroom and the terrace. Everything is simple but clean. Staff is really helpful and nice. There is a kitchen with cooking facilities. The visitor card is also provided. I have stayed there twice, and would stay again.

Convenient location despite being off the town of Luzern. 3 min to bus stop and right next to Groceries like Denner. Need to put 20Eu deposit for hair dryer/ adapter tho. The room is spacious enough for 2 pax. Overall, worth the price paid when compared to other hotels in Luzern.

Was a very good experience for both me and my wife. The location is very close to the station. If anyone is coming from the station and taking a taxi, make sure to take an uber as normal taxis are double the price. Check-in process is very smooth, and the staff are excellent. Not sure about his name but he guy at the reception was so very kind and helpful and gave so many great tips on what to do, where to go, etc etc.. make sure to buy your pilatus tickets from the hotel as you get a 10% discount, which you would not get if you buy direct or through other apps.
Rooms were clean, bed was nice and cosy, and they had some sort of a fan which was good enough for the hot weather.
Overall, if we come back to Lucerne, we will stay here for sure.

Everything went smoothly from the check-in process until I checked out the next day. I’m amazed at how a hostel like this can function without onsite staff. I’ve been traveling since 2014 and have always stayed in hostels, but this is the first time I’ve experienced such a completely different vibe. I loved everything, especially the hostel’s backyard view. I’d definitely stay again once I’m back in Luzern.

I stayed at Luzern Youth Hostel for one night and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the food was excellent — a pleasant surprise that really added to the stay. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I didn’t encounter any issues and would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Lucerne.

I love this hotel, much much better than expected. It’s worth the price and performs above this level. Room is decent, a little bit distance from train station but very safe walking because it’s near the business area. Reception people are nice, I didn’t expect to see them in the midnight. Thanks for the hard work.

There is free parking space, there is a free bus ticket for the designated bus day trip, the right hand is the 20 bus, the left hand also has a bus platform.
The room is small and cramped, winning in the price/performance ratio, it is more convenient to take the bus to various attractions, suitable for city walk.
No disposable items, hair dryer, bath towels, no shower slippers, hand washing, bath shampoo.
The triple room on the second floor has a super large terrace, which can be picnic on the terrace, and the room is also equipped with a large electric fan.

AAnonymous UserThe landscape is very beautiful, which is the main attraction of this hotel. It's a long way from Lucerne and public transportation is every 2 hours. Best for those traveling by rental car.
The rooms are pleasant, with some charm in the decor.
Don't expect too much from the service in general, as there is room for improvement in the hotel management and staff training.
The self-service breakfast offers the basics of a European breakfast. The bread is good, the eggs and cheese just ok.
A solid 3.5, considering the beauty of the landscape and the charm of the building, it's worth a visit
