What a truly delightful surprise this guesthouse was! It perfectly blends the professional service of a star-rated hotel with the warm, personal hospitality of a boutique guesthouse. From the complimentary pickup at Datong South Station to the staff proactively helping with luggage throughout, every thoughtful detail made us feel incredibly comfortable from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, I was greeted with a fresh welcome fruit plate and hot tea. The room's amenities were exceptionally well-curated: daily replenished room-temperature mineral water, quality tea, spotless cups, and a kettle. The mini-fridge was thoughtfully stocked with pure sea buckthorn juice, three different sodas, and chilled mineral water. The quality of the toiletries, shower products, and bedding far surpassed what you'd find in typical guesthouses, especially the incredibly comfortable bed. Being able to completely unwind after a full day of sightseeing and walking was absolutely crucial! By the bedside, there were even picture books about the Yungang Grottoes and readings about Datong's history, which was such a thoughtful touch! Even more commendable was the warmth of the service: the staff were constantly attentive to guest needs and responded exceptionally promptly. The complimentary laundry service was a huge bonus – not only did they have a brand-new washer-dryer combo, but clothes sent in the morning were returned neatly folded in clean bags by the evening. They even brought iced mung bean porridge to help cool down; this level of meticulous care truly made me feel as comfortable as if I were staying at a friend's home. The overall decor is elegant and tasteful, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough! Next time I visit Datong, I will definitely choose Shanhaiju again!

The most satisfying hotel in this trip to Datong is also the most satisfying homestay I have ever stayed in in recent years. The indoor and outdoor environment, the environment in the courtyard are old, and it can be seen that the store is very careful. Such great experience! The staffs were super helpful, kind and friendly. You can easily tell that they were happy to help out as much as they could for us to have a better experience. The room was clean without any visible dust when we first walked in, it was so obvious that they put their heart into what they do. We also recieved snack bag upon our departure! I will definitely come back to stay with them everytime i come to pingyao!

After going to ”Wutai Mountain”, I decided to go to the ancient city of Zhangzhou, a place that has been advertised online. I chose this homestay because the design is more colorful and looks more textured. The location of the homestay is good, next to the snack street, there are many cultural and creative shops next to it, making candle aromatherapy is more nice. The service in the homestay is very warm, there is a cafe, the barista is very professional, the hand flushing, the beans are good. The overall health is also good, the yard is dry and quiet, very refreshing. It was cold, I chose the indoor pool, soaked in a bath, and the fatigue of Wutai Mountain was relieved a lot. Good temporary choice, next time I come to Zhangzhou, I guess I will stay a few more days, after all, there are a lot of snacks.

This B&B is amazing! The owner is incredibly welcoming and made our stay feel like home. The environment is clean and elegant, and the location is perfect, close to the ancient city and very convenient for exploring. It also has its own parking space, making driving stress-free. The biggest surprise was the real hot spring water, which was so relaxing and refreshing, and the kids had so much fun that they extended their stay for another night. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

We booked two rooms and arranged for us very intimately. The day we lived was light rain. When we saw that we were going out, we took the initiative to provide us with umbrellas. The hotel is very close to the snack street, and there is a parking lot about 200 meters next to it, which is very convenient.

This B&B was probably the most satisfying experience of my trip to Datong. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the front desk provided all the necessary disposable amenities—very thoughtful. The B&B is located north of the old city, making it quieter and less noisy than the central area. Watching drones from the second-floor terrace was fantastic, without having to squeeze in the crowds on the street. If I have the chance to visit Datong again, I will definitely choose this B&B!

The B&B parking lot is particularly convenient. It's well soundproofed and in a single-family building. I guess it's due to the environment. I slept very peacefully all night. Originally, I planned to stay in Zhangzhou for one night, but I was too satisfied after I checked in, and I couldn't help but stay for one night. The hotel is very new and the facilities are very new, but the service is not like a ”novice” at all, meticulous and thoughtful, making people feel at ease. The rooms are exquisitely furnished and the details are attentive; the soup experience is even more intimate, with rose petals, bath salt, bubble ball, fruit, snacks, coffee. The location is excellent, close to Taishan Temple, and you can walk to the ancient city attractions. Parking is also convenient, there is a surprise at the door, even if you park in the bar street parking lot 100 meters away, it is all flat asphalt road, and it is very easy to pull luggage. The overall price is super high, comfortable and relaxing, it is recommended.
