Such a lovely, hospitable, hostel. Had all the amenities I needed - and there was even a sink in the room I stayed in. It’s literally a 5 min walk to the beach as well, and is super convenient to get to especially if you are taking the Ferries or the bus into / out of Picton. Thank you for the hospitality! ❤️

Privately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

The bed and breakfast is a bit like a family hotel, decorated in retro style, and it feels good. Warm service attitude, early bread jam juice fruit dessert, parking space.

South Island Highway 1 was closed. When the detour arrived, it was already 2am. There is a phone number on the door, and as soon as you contact, come and open the door to arrange check-in. The hostess also introduced that the next morning, you can prepare breakfast yourself with kitchen materials! But because I have to return the car and ferry in the morning, I just slept.
