The overall experience was very good. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and the swimming pool is a highlight. The hotel is about a half-hour drive from the city center, and the front desk can help call taxis, making travel quite convenient. I recommend choosing a deluxe or superior room in the main building, as they offer a good sense of space and comfort. Having stayed in both, the classic rooms are relatively compact and have more basic facilities. It's perfect for those who want to experience a slower pace of life in Florence, and I highly recommend it.
The hotel is OK in this area, after all, there are no good hotels around. Breakfast is very ordinary, there is no freshly squeezed juice, this needs to be charged separately, which makes me a little surprised.
Facilities: OK, it's reasonable
Hygiene: OK
Environment: OK
Service: OK
This is the best hotel in every way.
This is an impeccable hotel with fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside, clean bedrooms and bedding, clean bathrooms, very friendly staff and a great breakfast.
I am strongly recommending it to my friends and acquaintances.
During my trip to Rome, after shopping at The Mall Firenze and visiting Florence, I stayed at this hotel 30 minutes from Florence for a day, and returned to Rome via Siena and Bagnoregio for a 2-day, 1-night schedule.
We recommend checking in a little early to see the fantastic Tuscan sunset. This is a hotel I definitely want to visit again.

The location is not far from the station, the room is incredibly spacious, and the hot water works great. The price is also very reasonable, so there's no reason not to stay here.
It's about a 10-minute walk to the bell tower, and it's quiet and easily accessible.
If I ever return to Siena, I'll definitely stay here again.
Just make sure to check your email when checking in!
It's self-check-in, so if you don't check your email, it'll be hard to find your room.
I stayed here for 3 nights.
👍Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. You can go to the city center conveniently.
👍Breakfast is typical American style with a touch of Italian. A few kinds of Italian cakes and pies are offered.
👍there's a pizzeria and a bar nearby this hotel.
(7 minutes by walk)
👎Netflix isn't set on the TV.
👎the shower booth in the bathroom was too small. It was a 'double bed' room and I can say that it would be so small for 'single bed' room and even for '5 years old kid'.
The room is very large and very comfortable in Italy, with a small garden (but very tasteless, semi-open, more than a parking space), and the vineyard of the winery outside the window. We booked an extra wine tour from the official website and it was also very interesting. The key is that the price is reasonable relative to this area, and the overall recommendation
The hotel lobby and corridor photos are shown in the picture, and the layout is very warm. The family suite room is large, the air conditioning and cooling effect is good, the key is very special, and the door is rotated. Breakfast is very rich, but you have to go to the ancient city. In addition, there is no kettle. There is no elevator, you have to climb the stairs yourself. Parking in the roadside parking lot, free and safe. The front desk brother will help carry the luggage to the 2nd floor, praise! In the morning, the scenery on the balcony is very good, and the sun is just shining.
This is a very old hot spring hotel, not luxurious, most of the customers are locals; the room is large, the facilities are relatively old, but the European-style bed with curtains and very old wooden windows (with wooden shutters) are very European, and the bathroom facilities feel like they are still in the 70s and 80s; it is worth mentioning that the piano room where breakfast is located has a royal and aristocratic atmosphere when taking photos, super 👍
Located in the west of Florence, if you don't have a chartered car, you need to take a train from Florence to Empoli Station, and then take a taxi for 25 minutes to the hotel (about 50 euros). The hotel is in the fields, and it takes a while to drive from the town. There are many hotels and folk customs on each small hill nearby. The hotel is very large. In addition to the accommodation area, it is surrounded by grape fields, farms, and areas for hotel project activities.
The environment is very beautiful, close to nature, and implements the original ecological concept. Some of the restaurant ingredients come from their own farms. There are cypress trees of different heights on the surrounding country roads. It seems that a batch of small trees were planted along the road for tourists to take pictures, so that they can become a row of neat cypress trees. The hotel's architectural style is an Italian farm. The exterior looks simple, the interior is relatively gorgeous, and the Renaissance decoration is beautiful and atmospheric. It was foggy in the early morning, and the fog dissipated before noon. There was plenty of light in the afternoon, and the sunset in the evening was very beautiful on the fields. The sunrise and the forest opened, and the scenery was different in four seasons.
Stayed for 2 nights, during which I experienced truffle picking (155 euros/person) and wine tasting (50 euros/person). It was interesting to experience it. But unlike expected, there was not much participation in truffle picking. We came to a forest and followed the footsteps of truffle hunters and hounds to search in the forest. There were explanations during the period, but we did not experience the process of digging truffles in person. Wine tasting visited the wine cellar and then tasted it outdoors. During the stay, you can walk around the hotel to pass the time and you will not feel bored. The greenery is relaxing. In fact, some scenes can also be seen in most rural areas, but the hotel's supporting facilities cannot keep up. We need to return to the hotel to get a holiday-like rest after walking tired.
The hotel has two restaurants, including breakfast. One restaurant is a local restaurant, and the other restaurant is a Michelin green star. The taste is pretty good. You can only choose between them during the stay because there are no other restaurants nearby.
It is worth mentioning that the pool selection suite where I stayed on the second night is close to the swimming pool. You can go swimming as soon as you open the door, but many bugs were found in the room. The hotel service was uneven. One of the interns did not speak English well, and it took us a long time to communicate about changing rooms. The other intern was fluent in English and had a good service attitude.
On the return trip, I chose to have the hotel make an appointment to send me to Empoli Station (68 euros).

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is close to the city center, which is very convenient for walks. The staff is polite and very friendly. Upon learning it was my first time in Florence, they gave me a tourist map and informed me about the sights, even drawing a convenient route for me. At my request, they printed out a concert ticket. The room was warm. I made tea using my own water heater, so the absence of a kettle wasn't an issue. Breakfast was perfectly fine, just like at most hotels. The hotel definitely undersells itself with its star rating; it could easily be a 3-star.
SSoulbreeze56Suitable for short stay. Walking distance from metro. Provide breakfast is a plus. The room is clean enough. We enjoyed our stay and 100% recommended! Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. Most of the hotels in Europe don’t provide those.
格格Right next to the highway exit, the hotel has an internal parking lot. It is recommended for those who need to stay at THE MALL to take a rest. The Italian bed is too small, so I put the mattress on the ground for fear of falling under the bed. The restaurant environment is very good, but there is nothing to eat, coffee, milk, bread and the like
GGuest UserFirst off, great crew at the front desk. Whether it’s answering my calls requesting the ironing board, or calling a cab for me the day of my departure, they were always available and willing to help.
The issue is they might have overdone it in one instance when I put a note on the room door before leaving asking not to be disturbed and came back to see someone had gotten into my room, changed sheets and towels + “arranged” my stuff. Nice intention but got me confused looking for certain things.
The gym was also a little disappointing: tiny, very limited equipment and only fit for one person at a time. It’s really a space to do yoga and stretch, with one treadmill. But it helped nonetheless.
The real elephant in the room was the location. I found this hotel looking for a place in Florence and this is very misleading from the booking platforms. The city is Prato, there are no Ubers, public transit tricky to navigate (walk 10-15 minutes + take 2 buses and a train to get to Florence in a trip that totals 1h30 min on average) and taxis are rare + expensive (the cheapest I paid was 50€ for a 13 min trip to the airport). Not to mention most taxi drivers are clearly scamming you because they know you’re desperate, turning off their meters and asking you to pay cash.
Overall, not my most memorable experience and would only recommend if you’re staying in Prato. If you plan to visit Florence and are tempted to book a cheaper hotel north of the city, think twice.
GGuest UserWe didn’t realise that this place is only having driveway to get there. At night, we carried two 23kg big suitcases and walked there. That was a terrible experience. Other than that, the AC inside the room seemed to have some problem, we felt so hot and hard to breath during our stay. But tbh, I didn’t expect much with the price (£94 per night)
LLordRazorFantastic stay in Hotel Athena in Siena! They are one of the few hotels that offer free parking within the city walls and outside of the ZTL zone. About 10 mins walk into main town. Definitely took away the headache of the need to look for parking. Also a great base to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Their included buffet breakfast offers a comprehensive spread, tho we wishes that they would change the spread daily! But that's a small issue. They also have a terrace on the 7th floor that looks out to the Tuscan countryside. Wonderful views - check out the attached photo! Overall we definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay here again if we visit again!
SSeanSeccoWe stayed here for a night with breakfast included. Very spacious, really beautiful and quiet room despite the little road. Mastodontic structure and with a great potential perhaps not expressed at the maximum. Thermal pools are very valuable, bad for the open-air bath with a slightly thin and therefore unusable water. We enjoyed relaxing massage, very valuable! We had dinner at the restaurant, good and exhaustive. Breakfast is very pleasant. All the feet and young boys. One bad check-in at 15, so if you arrive in the morning there will be a supplement to enjoy the SPA. Maybe it would have been right to be transparent and to state it on the site, a great discovery in general.
GGuest UserThe food, people, and location are really nice. However, the facilities are old. The door frame of the toilet suddenly dropped off and nearly hurt my friend. I hope they can improve them.
Also, it is very safe for ladies to stay. The location is quiet and safe even at night. Although there isn't any elevator, the staff are friendly to help you to put your luggage to your room.
GGuest UserA very enjoyable stay! The breakfasts were delicious – both classic European options, as well as fresh fruit and local pastries (the cakes were a big plus). The room was very clean and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every step. The hotel is located in a quiet area, just a 2-minute walk from the train stop with connections to Lucca. We took the photos during our stay, so please excuse a bit of a mess – in reality, everything looks great.
GGuest UserA heavy suitcase is a nightmare... ^-^
It's all stairs up to the 4th floor.
But the receptionist carried it from the 2nd floor to my room on the 4th floor for me!
The room has a kettle, refrigerator, and hairdryer.
All the drinks in the refrigerator are free.
The location is fantastic!
The restaurants nearby are delicious, it's close to the station, and there's a supermarket too!
