"The hotel is conveniently located very close to the station, ensuring easy access to transportation. It's considerably more spacious than typical Japanese hotels, boasting well-appointed and practical facilities. The service quality is excellent. The comfort and pleasantness are on par with what I've experienced in Toyama, making it ideal for a relaxing vacation."
"The hotel is easily accessible from Toyama Station's South Exit. Walk to the main intersection, turn right, and it's just a short walk across the street. This is a perfectly adequate business hotel: the rooms are spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The breakfast selection, however, might start to feel a bit limited if you're staying for three consecutive days. For lunch and dinner, you'll find plenty of options at Toyama Station. Conveniently, there's also a shopping mall directly across from the hotel where you can dine and shop. A definite highlight: one afternoon, I walked to the City Hall Observation Deck and enjoyed a beautiful sunset 🌇!"
"The hotel is relatively new, with on site parking. It is located at the top few floors of a business building. There no hotel reception on the ground floor only a phone and the entrance is hard to find if you are driving and it’s at the back of the building. The window shows you the major railway system of Nagoya as JR Nagoya station is just next stop and visible from the window. So a must for train lovers.
The staff at the hotel is helpful but their English is minimal but for sure they are polite and cordial. There’s always staff cleaning in the other room when I go in and out of the hotel, but they somehow managed to not bother me and find the right time to clean my room.
There is no other facility such as swimming pool, onsen or washing machines in the hotel. There’s a large family mart on ground floor and a few restaurants in the complex but we are always out during the day and didn’t have a choice to enjoy them.
The hotel breakfast is delicious and the choices are ample. It also has the skyline view of Nagoya.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you want a little piece and quiet when you travel. And you might need to walk extra or take 1 more stop in the Metro to go back to hotel.
It’s an excellent hotel but I think more suitable for adults."
"Fantastic! I'm a big fan of this hotel brand, and it's always my go-to choice for stays in Japan. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms feature excellent wet/dry separation, are very well-lit, and feel incredibly clean and comfortable. From the room, you can even see distant snow-capped mountains. It's just a 2-minute walk to Dentetsu Toyama Station. Plus, there's a renowned sushi restaurant right downstairs (the sea urchin chawanmushi had a generous amount of uni, and the crab cream croquettes were absolutely delicious)."
"A well managed hotel.
Location is strategically located across the road from Toyama JR station and Toyama Dentetsu station.
Efficient check in/ out process. Staff were attentive and professional.
I would like to commend in the front desk ladies for being very helpful and patient with me on arranging TQ-Bin to send my luggage over to Toyoko Inn at Nagano.
The room was clean and spacious. Great range and supply of amenities. Though there wasn’t a waiting lounge and breakfast area was relatively smaller than other Toyoko-inn, breakfast quality and range were good enough to satisfy the stomach before embarking on Kurobe Alpine Route trip."
"The hotel is super close to the JR station; you can spot it right as you exit. It's situated on the fifth floor of a shopping mall. To access the guest room floors, you need your key card, which provides a good sense of privacy. The hotel also offers a communal bath and a complimentary coffee lounge. Our room was very spacious, and facing the JR station side, we had a lovely view of Mount Tateyama – a real plus! The overall location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient for exploring both nearby areas and city attractions. The airport shuttle stop is also right next to the hotel. Definitely highly recommended!"
"Small but very clean room, very easy access to public parking. Onsen bath is good considered the small size of hotel. Free noodle and ice popsicles are a plus - especially when you struggle to find a restaurant coming back late from Tateyama. Charge money for disposing excessive trash and room markup"
"The hotel is just 2 mins walk from Toyama station. Across it is a shopping mall. Very convenient!
Hotel has free bike to rent, easy to cycle around the place. Hotel breakfast is really good, an infusion of japanese with other cultures. And most affordable.
Room amenities are basic but sufficient.
The only thing I don't like is the bed. Gives me backache. There is only one thin pillow.
Otherwise all good."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe service was excellent, and the location was very convenient for getting around. However, I did find two drawbacks. Firstly, the parking isn't located directly on-site; you have to drive a short distance to it, and the parking fee was quite expensive. Secondly, the twin room felt a bit small.
SSai Kit YongThis is the place to stay if you want to visit Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route and Shirakawago from Toyama because the stations are located right outside/next to this hotel. Hotel is strategically located within the same block as shopping complex with easy access to eateries and grocery shopping. Also within walking distance to Toyama Glass Art Museum and the castle ruin. They also provide massage chair at reception floor that is free of charge to hotel guests. Also comes with coin operated washer and dryer. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are a bit dated but clean and well-maintained. The public bath on the 2nd floor features three soaking pools, along with complimentary popsicles and drinks. An evening soak there was wonderfully effective for relieving fatigue.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. One front desk staff member spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth.
The hotel is within walking distance of Toyama Station, though it's not a very short one (about 10-15 minutes on foot). A bus stop directly outside the hotel offers routes to Toyama Station (210 yen for adults, three stops, approximately 5-6 minutes). However, I had trouble figuring out which bus to take from Toyama Station *to* the hotel's vicinity (Sogawa Station).
Toyama Castle Park and the Glass Art Museum are nearby, and a Daimaru Department Store and a 7-Eleven are conveniently located just across the street. All in all, the location is quite convenient.
KKJWalkable distance from toyama station. Overall the room was clean and friendly staff.
Breakfast was average with croissant, eggs & sausages.
Will suggest to improve on the check in & out time & free cancelation.
GGuest UserThe hot spring is very good, it is alkaline water, especially good for the skin, after soaking, the skin feels bright and comfortable. The hot spring is very large, there are various ways to soak, the outdoor open-air hot spring is also very beautiful, there is a bubble pool indoors, and there is also a strong impact to heal tired legs.
The kaiseki cuisine is delicious, Toyama Prefecture has very good seafood, every night is very exquisite.
The waiters are very good, and there are also waiters who understand Chinese.
There is a spectacular snow scene in winter, and there are two medium-sized ski resorts next to it, which is convenient for skiing.
GGuest UserThe hotel is next to Toyama Station. It is said to be in Showa style. The decoration is old and you need a key to open the door. The walls of the room are not very clean, but the price is relatively cheap. The quilt does not have a quilt cover, which feels unhygienic.
MMay HoniThe hotel is a 10-15min walk from Toyama Station. Close to a conbini is a plus. Stayed only for a short period because went to Shirakawa-go early in the morning.
GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy. You can get Sekkisei's disposable skin care products on the first floor. You can see the Tateyama mountain range without going out in the morning. You can also watch the weather forecast and entertainment programs on TV. Breakfast is on the 12th floor. You can choose Japanese style and style. I chose Japanese style with a fixed set meal. The tableware is very exquisite. There are fluorescent squid and squid sashimi, fresh eyebrows, rice and hot spring eggs. You can add as much as you want. There are also vegetable juices, juices, milk, etc. You can drink as you like. It is still a very satisfactory stay.
JJasmineRoom is big and clean. Service was great. Only thing is it is located in the red light district. Its not dangerous or anything. But if you dont mind the surroundings, its good for value. Great restaurant around too
DdanthetravellerThis hotel is a perfect place for our one day stay. And one of the best things at this hotel is a very generous number of amenities provided to guests - bath pads, body sponge, toothbrush kit, and many others. Even though the location is a bit far from Toyama JR station, it’s not hard to find, and it’s quite walkable from the station. The lady at the reception was super nice. She reminded us of what Japanese are really like. If I get a chance to visit his tower again in the future, I would definitely come back to this hotel.
Toyama has many luxury hotels of different styles. RIVER RETREAT GARAKU (from JPY 64,205) is very popular for travelers looking for elegant places to stay.
