"Upon arriving at Toba Station a little past 6 PM, we couldn't locate the hotel shuttle bus as advised by the guide. Decided to call the hotel just to try our luck, and to our surprise, they immediately dispatched a private car to pick us up! Service was absolutely impeccable! 💯 The hotel's absolute standout feature has to be its hot springs! ♨️ Especially the unique Pearl Onsen – the only one in Japan infused with Mikimoto pearl powder. My skin felt incredibly soft and glowed after soaking. (A glass of milk after the onsen is a must – incredibly refreshing! *Personally, I prefer the fruit-flavored one.) Room Experience: We booked the most basic Japanese-style room (washitsu) and truly enjoyed the authentic experience of sleeping on traditional tatami mats. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome cheesecake 🍰 waiting for us in the fridge – absolutely delicious! All toiletries were exclusively Mikimoto branded, adding a definite touch of luxury and quality. (We even bought a set from the hotel shop before leaving – eligible for tax-free shopping!) 🥣 Breakfast was a classic Japanese set meal, served individually with no menu choices. The highlight, however, was the dining environment – private rooms! *Be bold and request a window-side private room. ❤️ Enjoying a refined breakfast in such a private setting, while gazing at the serene ocean view outside, was an incredibly soothing and delightful experience."

"It was good to have a large room with an ocean view and a relaxing room. However, it was very conspicuous that the manners of the public bath users were too bad. Even though there is a ban on the use of tattoos at the entrance, a child who has a tattoos is used, a child who starts a swimming tournament at a hot spring, and a mother who doesn't pay attention to it. We do not recommend using the hot springs around 21:00 after meals. Since there is no key in the shoe locker, I was in trouble because there was no slippers in the building where I put them when I returned. I felt that I would like you to improve the tattoo notes, such as locking the shoe locker."

"I wouldn't recommend staying here. Other than its proximity to JR Toba Station, it has no advantages. It's a short walk from JR Toba Station, and the hotel service is average. When I checked in on the evening of September 8th, the front desk was staffed by an older male. When I asked about the use of the kiri-buri bath, he said it was too late. When I asked about the next day, he said it wasn't available in the morning. Wouldn't it be helpful for the service industry to directly and clearly state the hours between which the baths are available? This is a stark contrast to the Japanese service I experienced during my stay. The room was small and dated, and the toilet didn't flush automatically. The room I was assigned was in the very corner, with no ocean view from the window. The public bath was on the first floor, with a spacious dressing area. The hot tub and showers were traditional in design, but fortunately, it wasn't crowded at night. There was a milk vending machine at the entrance to the public bath, but the only milk was plain white; the others were flavored and sweet. In the lobby, there's a large, shell-carved landscape painting that looks familiar, perhaps from Shandong, China. There's also a Japanese-style tea room, but it all looks a bit dated. There's a pearl counter in the lobby, but it wasn't open, likely due to the lack of guests. The overall experience was not good. The hotel seemed to be in a state of decline and would not last long. If there are other options, I would not recommend choosing this place."

"An old style western hotel but in general clean. The staff very nice and helpful. I asked them to help phone a restaurant make booking. I didn't realize the restaurant did not open yet. The hotel staff tried calling the restaurant a few times but no one answered. Finally, the hotel staff sent the restaurant a message. I didn't request the hotel staff to do so but they did it on their own. Without the hotel message to the restaurant, we would not be able to have a nice osyter buffet. Thanks them very much. If I have to complain, I should say they have to clean the bath room more thoroughly. The toilet and bath room inside the room were just totally renovated a few years but there were already black stains and mould on the wall near the bath tub. Also, there's dust on the hand rail in the toilet."

"The hotel service is first-rate. The isolation room was very noisy when I checked in. I asked to change rooms and they arranged it immediately. They also delivered the room card to my door. In addition, I forgot my coat and they also arranged it in the old room. As for the restaurant service, it was also very good. We were arranged to have French food in the hotel that day. Although there were no seats available, we were seated quickly. The service was very good! The room is tidy and spacious. "Mie Prefecture is a relatively remote and rural place, but Toba, Ise and Shima are still worth visiting. Todaya Hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought it was just an ordinary local Japanese-style hotel, but it turned out to be very large, with two buildings, a large public bath, an open-air bath, and several free private baths for families. There are quite a few medals at the front desk. The room size is not large among Japanese-style rooms, but it is more spacious than ordinary modern rooms. Western-style beds are also more comfortable. The dinner was quite rich, with both Japanese and Western flavors, and the freshly roasted beef was delicious. Breakfast is on the top floor of the South Building, facing the sea, with a great view. There are also many dining options. Mikimoto Pearl Island and Toba Aquarium are nearby. When you check in, you will see the last name or first name of each room occupant on the welcome board at the hotel entrance. It is quite interesting to find your own name."

"Toba seaside hotel stay review (03/10/2025 – 03/13/2025) Toba Seaside Hotel Over-all feeling: Satisfied a. The hotel shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes (hotel and toba (Toba Station), which is very convenient. Every day at 9:07am, there is a bus from the hotel to Ise Jingu (Geigu, Naigu) & Ise City Station. You don't have to transfer at Toba Station, which saves a lot of time. b. (03/10/2025 – 03/13/2025) Stay at NOZOMI (Wangguan), the whole building has been renovated Clean, comfortable. c. Three buildings have three large bathing areas, where you can enjoy a relaxing and pleasant bath. d. Breakfast buffet, because I am a vegetarian, I think the menu is just average. e Toba Bay is a beautiful harbor, where you can sit quietly in front of the window in the evening. Watch. Seabirds flying. The boats are sparkling, and I think of the lines from ”The Preface to the Red Cliff” (”The breeze blows gently, and the water is calm”)... I can't help but feel relaxed and happy. The following are also suggestions: 1. The restaurant only has Japanese dish names. Suggestion: add English. What's funny is that the COFFEE MACHINE is also only in Japanese, which makes people feel at a loss. 2. The shuttle bus sign is only in Japanese. 3. You cannot pay the bill before 7:00 am. I have been traveling to Japan for many years and this is the first time I have encountered such a situation. It seems like a strange management method."

"Spectacular view of the ocean... a bit difficult to find this hotel as it was up on a slope (wasn't expecting that) and likely because I was driving in the dark. Signs were kind of hard to see. Beautiful hotel, buffet dinner and breakfast were good."

"Because I was traveling alone, I booked a single executive suite. The hotel facilities were relatively old and there were basically no services, but the old-fashioned open-air baths and large public baths had the flavor of the Showa period.
