Amazing
GGuest UserA magnificent hotel with incredibly friendly staff, all ready to help you. The rooms are large and spacious, and they all have balconies. There's a stunning rooftop pool with a gorgeous sea view. There's also a gym and a sauna, though the sauna wasn't working during our stay.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are several issues with the management system that need improvement.
First, regarding room cleaning procedures: at most hotels and accommodations, the front desk keeps a spare key or key card so housekeeping can access rooms for cleaning when guests are out. At this property, guests are required to hang their room key outside the door until housekeeping finishes cleaning, sometimes as late as 2:00 PM. This is a serious security concern because anyone could potentially access the room while the key is left unattended outside.
Second, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with good soundproofing, this hotel may not be the best choice. Noise from outside the room is easily heard throughout the day and night.
Last night, shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a very loud group of people. When I went outside to investigate, I saw a group of guests drinking in the restaurant area located directly next to my room. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep. I politely asked why the restaurant was still open, as I had been informed during check-in that it closed at 10:00 PM. The guests told me that a staff member had opened the restaurant for them. I then politely asked them to lower their voices because my room was right next to the restaurant.
I do not blame the guests at all. The responsibility lies with the hotel staff, who allowed the restaurant to be used after midnight despite the clearly stated closing time of 10:00 PM.
Areas for improvement:
1. Guest safety and security — Guests should not be required to leave their room keys hanging outside their doors for housekeeping.
2. Enforcement of hotel policies — If the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, that rule should be consistently followed. Future guests staying in rooms near the restaurant should not have to endure loud noise until 1:00 or 2:00 AM as I did.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but better management and stricter adherence to its own policies would greatly improve the guest experience.
GGuest UserThis time, after staying three seasons at Altera Hotel, I decided to change location and stay closer to Central Festival shopping mall. I checked the ratings on Trip.com — the hotel had very strong reviews, which is why I chose it. Honestly, the choice turned out to be a good one.
The hotel is mid-range — not luxury. I travel a lot (DIAMOND+ on Trip.com), so I have plenty to compare with. There are hotels with larger rooms and bigger swimming pools, but what really stands out here is the location — everything is extremely close and convenient.
The service throughout my stay was excellent. The staff are polite, friendly, always smiling, and ready to help. The breakfasts were a very pleasant surprise — a wide selection, and everything was genuinely tasty.
The swimming pool is located on the 7th floor. It’s not large, but cozy and relaxing. Central Festival is just a few minutes away, and the beach is also very close. I stayed at the hotel for 10 days and overall really enjoyed the experience.
However, the check-out experience on February 20 at 10:00 AM slightly spoiled the overall impression. There was only one receptionist on duty, and she was busy with another guest, so I had to wait. When it was my turn, I was told I needed to pay additionally for a broken cup. I explained that I had already paid for the broken cup and the cleaning and asked them to check their records.
She then had to verify everything by sending messages and waiting for confirmation before finally saying “OK.” In a hotel of this level, there should be a clear and reliable payment recording system to avoid situations like this.
The service during check-out felt tired and impersonal — no smile, no friendly farewell, no “have a nice trip.” Just routine and fatigue. Against the background of otherwise excellent service during my stay, this moment felt disappointing.
Overall, my impression of the hotel is positive. If I stay in this area again, I would very likely choose this hotel once more.

TTitix7Overall, it's good! Perfect for those on a budget who still want a beautiful, healing place. The Lanna-style decor is lovely, and the swimming pool is huge and great for fun. The only downside is the location, which is quite far from the city center and food hubs.
GGuest User1. The location is great, especially for travelers planning to explore Koh Larn, as it's very close to Bali Hai Pier, making it super convenient.
2. The sea view rooms also offer a fantastic view.
3. The room size is decent, but the bed isn't big enough, especially for families with children.
4. Breakfast is good too.
5. Although the pool is a bit small, thankfully it's not crowded, and it's designed to be in the shade, so you don't get too much sun, which is a thoughtful touch.
Overall, everything is great, except for the slightly cramped hotel entrance.

GGuest UserEverything else was fine, but the air conditioning was incredibly loud. I was woken up multiple times in the middle of the night, so I decided to switch hotels.

KKuaiqulianqiuThe front desk service was excellent; they always greeted us with a smile. There was an older staff member at the front desk whose English was very good, and she was so warm and welcoming. When I was leaving, she even reminded me to make sure I hadn't forgotten my passport.

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious, and the lady at the front desk was incredibly patient. The location is excellent, and the price is reasonable. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining and drinking options, parking is available, and there's even a gym. Overall, a great place to stay.

TThiyadayou should see the real photo in Google map in “Hotel J Resident” since here they use the room photo of hotel J which is different from the real one in term of design and some accessories. The best is the bed is king bed and location not far from Terminal21. The worst is about the noise from car until people talking, playing and swimming. our room is connect to the room and people always sit at our terrace which already informed to staff because they so loud but nothing can improve. One more thing is they will ask for 1K CASH only for the deposit can’t used the credit card. So you should prepare for the cash as well.
