This hotel's Cologne Cathedral view is absolutely breathtaking, but what was equally impressive were the location, service, and cleanliness. When I first arrived from the train station, I foolishly didn't look up the route properly and ended up dragging my heavy luggage up and down stairs, when I could have avoided them by taking a different path. Despite the difficult journey to the hotel, the staff greeted us so warmly and genuinely wished my sister a happy birthday that all my weariness turned into joy. And when we got to the room, we were greeted with such an amazing view and a beautiful room! Thanks to this, we had a wonderful time in Cologne for two days, listening to the bells of Cologne Cathedral. When checking out and heading back to the train station, I followed the staff's directions and found a flat, easy route back. Oh, the only minor inconveniences were the opaque glass in the bathroom and having to shower in the bathtub.

This hotel is not close to the airport you will need a bus and it's 7 stops away and you will still need to walk 15 minutes. There is a airport shuttle to the airport. Friendly staff, I personally felt the room was warm for me but my son said he was a little cold. I guess it is personal preference. There us on site restaurant and bar but I felt for us it was a little on the pricey side but there was a supermarket and local food shops close by.

The room was nice and spacious. We went here in the winter and the heater worked well and it stayed pretty warm. It had everything we needed here and you can request things and services through there website (for free). The hotel also had a sauna and fitness to use for free. We only used the sauna and it was really relaxing. The only downside was that the location wasn’t that optimal for the places we wanted to visit.

Hotel location is good about 10 to 15 min walk from Köln Hbf station on mostly flat ground. Room was spacious with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion provided. Tea & coffee and kettle also provided. But only 1carton (500ml) of water provided daily for two people which I feel was too little and no fridge in the room. Also bed and pillow was too soft with no support for neck and back.. Overall stay was pleasant

I had a wonderful stay at CityClass Hotel am Dom. The location truly could not be better — it is just steps away from the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, and the views from the room were absolutely fantastic. Waking up to a direct view of the cathedral was a highlight of the trip. The hotel is also surrounded by plenty of food options, from traditional German restaurants to international cuisine, all within easy walking distance. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient, especially in the evenings. Furthermore, it is just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The staff were friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, an excellent choice for anyone wanting to stay right in the heart of Cologne with unbeatable views and dining options nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. The sauna and pool were good, but the room was cold at night even with the heating turned up all the way.

The room was a bit dated and the service was average. The location is on the edge of the old town, not far from the chocolate museum, and within walking distance of the cathedral and the Chain Bridge. The hotel breakfast was just okay; a 'Chinese stomach' might find it a bit repetitive after a couple of meals.

Struggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.  Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.  Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.  I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!  The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.

The location of the hotel is good. Rooms were generally clean but pretty narrow when you go to the toilet. Beds were comfortable. When I asked they gave us kettle and glass. This is also a nice act! If you check in earlier you have to pay 30 euros extra. Therefore we arrived at the hotel at 15:06, and the receptionist told that they haven’t made the room ready for third person. Our reservation did include third person from beforehand. When we entered the room, it was so hot that it was not possible to breathe normally. My guess they just forgot about us entering, even though we came beforehand to put our luggage and reminded them we would be back for 3pm.

I could forgive ten points for service. I would have chosen the hotel with the thermal to celebrate my birthday with my family there. We arrived too early but we were allowed to check in yet. We were very premature and friendly serviced in the restaurant and when they found my birthday is coming or even decorate a table extra. All in all was the food also very good the thermal was sensational. We had a wonderful time and thank you very much.
