"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, but what really made the experience special was the service. Berk was absolutely amazing — incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of, and his warm attitude truly made a difference during our stay. You can really feel that he cares about guests. Highly recommend this hotel, especially thanks to Berk’s outstanding service. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We requested a room close to the elevator and they gave us a spacious one just as we asked. The location is fantastic, especially if you're visiting during the Christmas market season; everything is within walking distance. The only downsides were the weak internet connection, so it’s better to have your own data plan if you rely on being online, and bed sheets are only changed upon request. Overall, still a pleasant experience and would recommend for the location, helpful staff and lovely spacious rooms!"

"Zu meinem Aufenthalt: das Zimmer war sehr schön und das Bett total bequem. Sehr lobenswert fand ich, dass ihr Streamingdienste angeboten habt. Das war sehr cool. Das einfache Einchecken war auch ein großer Pluspunkt. Was gar nicht geht, ist das niemand zu erreichen ist, wenn es spät mal Probleme gibt… das sollte sich ändern. Bei uns hat der Strom nicht funktioniert, auch wenn es schon nach 1 Uhr war, ich musste mein Handy dringend laden, das wäre zu einem Problem geworden. Glücklicherweise hat mein Partner Ahnung von Elektrik, weshalb er das Problem vorübergehend lösen konnte. Abschließend noch ein dicker Minuspunkt: kurz nach 11 hat bereits jemand vom Reinigungsservice geklopft und hat kurz danach einfach unsere Tür geöffnet nachdem keine Antwort kam!!! ABSOLUTES NO-GO!!! Zumal wir bis 12 Uhr Zeit hatten. Als Pärchen ist man dann vielleicht gerade anderweitig beschäftigt, was unfassbar peinlich geworden wäre. Sowas darf echt nicht passieren!!"

"I really wish I could write something positive about this place, but unfortunately my experience was quite a let down. The staff was really nice and friendly, and the beds were comfy. However the ”facilities” were a bit amiss: some beds do not have electric sockets. I appreciate that they welcome everyone, but I had two seemingly homeless people in my room, with one seemingly doing some ***** in the bathroom with a quite strong body odor. I don't want to sound judgemental, and people need a place to sleep especially in the cold days, but for someone traveling to Koln alone, exhausted from a long flight, sleeping in a room with two homeless people can be a bit uncomfortable. I wish I didn't have to write this negative review, because I have stayed in other A&O hostels, and all of them including this one had nice staff and plenty of open areas to relax or meet other travelers."

"the location of the hotel was great as it was so close to the christmas markets and city centre and train statio. the staff were very friendly and helpful and tried to provide us with whatever we needed. however, sometimes the cleanliness of the rooms were not as consistent, but this is not a big issue since we could call them up to rectify and they were willing to do so."

"I book this hotel every time I come to an exhibition. The hotel is very close to the exhibition center and you can walk there. The transportation is convenient and the environment is very good. There is a light rail outside the door that can go directly to the cathedral. It is very convenient"

"The location is good, it's only a ten-minute walk to Cologne Cathedral, and it's also very close to the main train station. The hotel is not big, the decoration is OK, it feels like the money has been spent on the whole house smart system, there is no small refrigerator but there is a coffee machine. The toiletries are L'Occitane and they are pretty good, overall it's OK. Because there is a premium during the exhibition, everything else is OK."

"I chose this hotel as I have stayed on other visits to Cologne. Very disappointed to find my room had no suitable curtains to cover the window. No electricity in half of the room so I used an extension cable I borrowed from reception. The bathroom was partially renovated but had bare cables coming from the wall. I approached reception concerning the problems and was promised my room would be changed the following morning. I approached reception in the morning to be told they would not change my room. This was due to other complaints and guests having to move to a sister hotel. Clearly, this hotel is undergoing refurbishment. However, unfinished rooms should not be let. I have asked for a refund and fully expect a suitable response from the manager. This hotel used to be very good. What has gone wrong???"

"The room was nice and clean however, there is no fridge in the room. The aircon was not working, when we tried to call the reception multiple times to help us fix the issue but no one pick up even though we called multiple times. The parking lot is at the mainbuilding and we stayed in the other building which is across the street and doesn't have the reception desk. It says there is parking provided but you still have to pay 23 euro for 24 hours. In the end they waived this for us since the aircon didn't work and they didn't fix it. The coffee provided was nice. The hotel is quite in the night but during the day there was some construction noice since there are some renovations going on around in the area."

GGuest UserStayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival. Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again.

LL .CThe location is decent, about a 20-minute walk to the cathedral. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking was convenient, although the hotel's spots were full when we arrived. We ended up parking at the Maritim Hotel for 32 Euros a day. The place is clean with a relaxed atmosphere, none of that oppressive old German vibe. They have a gym and a sauna. Overall, it's roughly equivalent to a 3-star hotel in China.

The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. MM235150****1. I booked a two-night stay and asked for an extra key card since my camera was charging in the room. However, the key card they gave me was only valid for one day, so I had to go back to the front desk to get it reactivated. What I found odd was that the receptionist asked for my ID, which I didn't have on me (my passport). Even though I could tell her my room number and my name, she wouldn't accept it and insisted on seeing an electronic version of my passport. I found that a bit hard to understand. 2. As a Marriott frequent guest, I usually don't write reviews, but I felt this needed to be said. For a global chain like Marriott, I found the breakfast selection to be good enough for my needs. However, the lady at the egg station seemed to have a very indifferent attitude, didn't want to engage much, and had a straight face. I understand that not everyone can be overly friendly, but then a European woman walked up behind me, and suddenly the egg station lady was all smiles and said, 'Have a good day, Madam.' This really made me question her service attitude. Was it a coincidence? I'm not sure.

GGuest UserWe were here for a city break, the area is up and coming with plenty of building work going on but not disruptive. It's next to the smaller train station but has direct access to the airport, the main arena is nearby as well as the conference center. Hotel itself was clean and well designed, we had a small kitchenette in the room which was a bonus.

GGuest UserStruggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.  Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.  Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.  I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!  The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.

GGuest UserThe location is perfect. Just 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. You can buy for 10 € a wonderful buffet breakfast. For lunch and dinner they have good meals. The rooms are very safe with single beds on the ground (not station beds to climb up). Bathroom shower is big and good. Best place to stay in Cologne Central for little money.

AAnonymous UserThe Good: - Location is right in the middle of everything and few steps from the Cologne Cathedral and the Cologne Central Station. - Most of the staff were nice and helpful. The young lady (she had curly hair) and the Dutch man were amazing and friendly! - The room given to us was huge! It had a living room. - The price was affordable considering we went during peak holiday season with the Christmas markets open. The Bad: - We were on the 5th floor and the lift was only until the 4th floor. We had to carry our luggages up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Also the lift was tiny! It could only fit 2 persons or 1 person with luggage. - Heating was not working. When we arrived, we were wondering why we had 2 portable heaters (with 1 not working), we realised the radiators were not working! - The bathroom stank the whole room everytime we came in from outside. It seemed to come from the drainage. - The bathroom has a huge window (not frosted, no curtain) that makes you uncomfortable when showering! I had to turn the lights off at night so I wasn't visible from outside. And during the day, I had to crouch. - The shower cubicle was so tiny! I kept hitting the shower lever so the temperature kept changing while showering. I had to leave the glass door open so I can move. - The sofas in the living room had stains. - The king bed was actually 2 single bed beds placed side by side and I kept falling into the middle crack. - The mattress had a lump in the middle. It was uncomfortable. - There was 1 female staff (older lady), who was rude. We asked to collect our luggage we left after we checked out and she had this pissed off expression like we bothered her for asking. I had high expectations as I have stayed in Wyndham hotels before and this hotel was not up to par.
