The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. Overall, if you are looking for convenient travel in Cologne and a good value accommodation, this hotel meets basic needs and is suitable for travelers who value practicality over luxury.

GGuest UserThe room is better than expected, and the facilities are well maintained. Before checking in, I wondered if this hotel was very old, after all, it has been open for so long. I didn't expect it to be so good. The bathroom is also very large, and the bathtub and shower are separate.

AAnonymous UserMy favourite hotel in the whole of my Europe Trip thus far… As expected of a Marriot-branded hotel, the rooms we stayed in are spotlessly clean. Hotel provides pretty good detox water in the lobby. However though, it’s not quite conveniently located with a 10+ minutes walk from the train station (unlike what was stated in its listing) and not centrally located near cologne’s main attractions.

GGuest UserThis is an old-school hotel; they even gave us a paper map at check-in. The hotel is located 1.5 km from Cologne Cathedral. The room was quite large, with a decor style from over a decade ago, but it's still well-maintained. It has air conditioning, which proved to be very important and beneficial as the weather started getting hot this week.

AAnonymous UserHotel is very near from the airport, hotel lobby to T1 Departure took just 5 minutes using their shuttle service. Only downside to this is reaching the hotel from the city. Reception & lounge was spacious with a good vibe. Rooms were also very spacious, even the bathroom & shower area. They have some of the best pillows, so comfy to rest after a long day before an early flight. Checkout process was also smooth. Didn't have enough time to explore other facilities such as the gym or breakfast.

MM60917****Highly recommended! The room was excellent and very spacious. The bed was big enough for me and my child; since we booked for two adults and one child, they even provided an extra bed, so we had three beds in total! The location is fantastic. It's very close to the train station and Cologne Cathedral, just a 5-minute walk away, yet it's tucked away from the main hustle, which made us feel quite safe and secure. We took a stroll near the hotel and discovered a highly-rated restaurant. We tried some authentic German cuisine there, and it was quite good. Cologne is truly wonderful; we even got some photos just like Jay Chou's!
I highly recommend Trip.com! All our hotels for this Europe trip were booked through them, and it gave us great peace of mind. I compared their prices with several major platforms, and they truly offered the best rates. Highly, highly recommended!

GGuest UserOne night stay so all good with close to station. Room very small so bed was very small. Smallest double bed we got in our 5 weeks Europe trip.
Breakfast was good and that’s why we booked so not disappointed. Got room early so we got more time to walk around town. Fruits and water at reception.

GGuest UserThe reception and service were fine. I could tell they spent a lot of time designing a very nice reception and welcome area and I am sure the restaurant is very good. However, I was a bit disappointed with the overall design of the room and the size especially for the price I paid. You go from a “boutique exterior” to an average to okay hotel room. The shower was close to matching the front end of the hotel but the bedroom space, window, noise, TV as well as light design were pretty avg. I had an okay stay but wasn’t that comfortable.
I am grateful to have been put next to the elevator since I was leaving in the middle the night for the airport but I wished the room offered more for the price requested per night I am sorry to say.
