WWanderRanjVery nice clean hotel. Helpful staff. Room modern, clean and just right. Mine didn't have a closet or a safe but that's not such a big deal.
This next point isn't about this particular hotel but for all girls in China. Please make it more accessible to non-chinese speaking foreigners. Each of the girls I started with during my trip, do not make any attempt or even try to care. China is getting super automated and self-service but their smart devices and controllers ranging from in-room controls to within the property like room service and delivery robots could also understand English would be fantastic.
It's so much cheaper to add a new language to these agents than to have all their staff learn English and it would enhance our experience by a 100x as we would never bother the hotel staff with anything.

IibschlrThis hotel is outstanding! Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, non-smoking, and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. The free washing and drying machines are very convenient. And the service is also excellent. We stayed in multiple hotels during our recent trip, and this was probably the best one of all of them. The location is around the corner from very good restaurants, and is within a 15 minute walk from the huge Wanda plaza mall where there are dozens of great options for food (and everything else!)
I wish we had more time here, as it was truly a pleasure.

XXiaojinzievaI was a little worried before checking in. When I asked for the Park Plaza, the taxi driver basically didn't know anything about it. Later I found out it was a newly opened hotel and the entire building was newly built. The hotel lobby check-in area was very small. The room itself was okay, but the elevator was very slow and you had to wait, especially in the morning when you had to squeeze and wait for a while after breakfast. Overall, the value for money was average. The homemade yogurt for breakfast was delicious, and the hotel breakfast was quite rich. The shower location and the lack of doors in the family room made it difficult to store things. Other than that, it was pretty good.

GGuest UserThis stay was great! The hotel is in an excellent location and convenient for travel. As soon as you enter the lobby, the gorgeous decoration and enthusiastic staff will make you feel more favorable. The room is spacious and clean, with all the necessary facilities. The bedding is so comfortable that it feels like lying on a cloud. The service is even better, both the front desk and the cleaning staff are very considerate. The breakfast is rich and varied and tastes great. All in all, it is impeccable in every aspect and highly recommended!

QQingjiaowomrsyangThe Qinghai-Gansu Loop Line landed in Xining, and I stayed at Xining Building because the plane arrived early. I checked in at the hotel after 10 o'clock. The hotel is one of the older star hotels with a good location, very close to Xining Station, good service, and the luggage was delivered to the room. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable. It was close to several night markets, and I went to the Nanxiaguan Market twice, a place frequented by locals, and bought some food as supplies for the next day's journey. The breakfast was not so good, there was nothing to eat. Our room was close to the road outside, and it was a bit noisy at night.

AAmmarWe had a great time at Xining. The hotel's location, staff and service were excellent. We had smooth and quick check in and check out. While they couldn't speak English, they did their best to understand and answer my questions. The view from my room (19th floor) was great. I thought I could take some cool long exposure pictures in the night but there were very big bright lights close to our window that didn't let me.
One thing I noticed was that the breakfast was mentioned to be both Chinese and Western, but it was only Chinese. I wish I had this clarity so I wouldn't have picked the room with breakfast. The entrance was not super convenient especially if you're carrying a lot of luggage. Since you'll have to help yourself, prepare accordingly.

HHenrionDourcyThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.

GGuest UserThis is a proper 4 star hotel. The bed is very comfortable. The toiletries are pretty good, the towels are soft and neat. It even includes a bath tub and has a clothes iron. There is a comfortable sofa to lounge on. There is no AC, but Xining is usually cold a d you wouldn't need an AC. The location is great too. Its overlooking the river.
The only issues are
1. The breakfast spread is very very limited
2. It's a very old hotel and smells like one
If you are okay with the limited breakfast spread and the smell, then this is a great hotel for the price.
