Romantic Hotels in Xining

Extremely convenient location! Downstairs, you'll find the Nanguan snack street, and it's just 100 meters to Nanguan Mosque, 400 meters to Dongguan Mosque, and 500 meters to Beiguan Mosque. The geographical location is absolutely perfect. It's only 2 km from the train station and a 30-minute drive to the airport. The floor attendant, Ma Ping, was incredibly welcoming. She gave us yogurt for each room and even helped me freeze the beef and lamb I bought from the night market. I highly recommend Hilton to anyone visiting Xining.

When I booked, I read the reviews saying that the service was not good. However, we did not experience this at all when we checked in. The front desk answered our questions seriously and politely, and delivered everything we needed in a timely manner. The accommodation and breakfast were good, and my family liked it.

Xining Westin Hotel (commonly known as Westin) Overall Real Reviews With an average rating of 4.6/5 on the platform, it's a high-value local luxury hotel in the city center, not an international Marriott Westin. Its advantages and disadvantages are clearly distinguished: I. Core Positive Reviews (Frequently Praised by Guests) 1. Excellent Location, Top Choice for Shopping and Dining - 3-minute walk to Wangfujing and Central Square; Xinghai Road Food Street and Shuijing Lane snacks are just downstairs, offering hand-pulled noodles, liangpi (cold skin noodles), and yogurt right outside. - Airport bus stop nearby; 10-minute taxi ride to Xining Railway Station, convenient for self-driving, independent travel, and business trips. - Yellow River riverside promenade downstairs, pleasant for evening strolls. 2. Cleanliness and Facilities Adapted to High Altitude Conditions - Cleanliness rating 4.7; meticulous room cleaning, soft bedding, 24-hour hot water, and separate wet and dry bathroom. The entire room has underfloor heating, ensuring a comfortable stay in autumn and winter; it's equipped with a makeup mirror with a light, multiple charging outlets, disposable towels, toilet seat covers, and a feminine hygiene kit – thoughtful details. - Oxygen-equipped rooms are a major highlight: diffused oxygen generation, ideal for first-time visitors to Xining worried about altitude sickness; the front desk offers free oxygen and basic altitude sickness medication, and some rooms have humidifiers. 3. Warm and responsive service - 24-hour front desk, proactive assistance with luggage, recommendations for Qinghai Lake/Chaka routes, and free late check-out until 2 PM. - Some guests receive a complimentary evening sweet soup; any requests are addressed within minutes, and returning guests often receive free room upgrades. 4. Excellent value breakfast 7:30-9:30 buffet, including local specialties: freshly cooked beef noodles, Qinghai yogurt, hand-grabbed rice, milk tea, and a full range of Chinese, Western, and halal dishes; an extra breakfast is only 28 RMB per person, generous portions and authentic flavors. 5. **Price-Friendly** Regular room rates are 140-300 RMB, and even rooms with oxygen supply are reasonably priced. Compared to chain hotels in the same area, this one offers better space and amenities. **II. Negative Reviews (Please Note Before Checking In)** 1. Significant Room Variations: Room sizes vary considerably for the same price range, with some lower floors feeling cramped. A few rooms have a slight odor coming from the bathroom drain; closing the bathroom door helps, and the front desk provides air freshener, but this is only a temporary solution. 2. Parking Inconvenience: The underground parking garage lacks automatic access control; you have to call staff to open the gate each time you enter or exit, a common complaint from drivers. 3. Ventilation and Odor Issues: Some lower floors and hallways have a slight musty smell; opening windows provides only limited relief. 4. No Air Conditioning: Only underfloor heating; rooms tend to be stuffy in summer, requiring you to open windows to cool them down. 5. Only one set of disposable bath towels is provided; multiple guests need to request additional towels from the front desk. **III. Suitable & Unsuitable Groups** **Recommended Stay** - For tourists exploring Xining and those on the Qinghai loop (oxygen supply rooms are available for those experiencing altitude sickness) - For short-term business trips, family short trips, and self-driving travelers: - Budget around 200 (currency unspecified), looking for clean and comfortable accommodation in the city center with breakfast included. Not recommended: - Seeking international five-star standards, concerned about smells in old building hallways. - Long-term self-driving travelers, frequent garage access, and find parking procedures cumbersome. - Afraid of heat in summer and reliant on air conditioning. IV. Practical Suggestions for Check-in: 1. If worried about altitude sickness, book a room with diffused oxygen supply and inform the front desk in advance to prepare oxygen. 2. Request a higher floor during check-in to avoid the ground floor and reduce odors and noise. 3. If driving, allow extra time to call and open the door, as parking may be inconvenient if you return late. 4. Advance booking is recommended during peak seasons, as prices may increase slightly during holidays. Do you need a short, copyable positive/negative review?

The hotel is in a very convenient downtown location, and the front desk staff are excellent! Plus, there's free parking and a good breakfast. The only downside is that with several hotels sharing the same elevators, there's often a long wait. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

This was the first hotel I stayed at on the Qinghai-Gansu loop, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff saw I had a lot of luggage and proactively offered to upgrade my room. Every single staff member at the hotel had such a wonderful attitude, really showcasing the hospitality of the people in the Northwest. The room also came with a mini-fridge, which was so convenient! Highly recommend!

The stay experience was very good, the room was clean and tidy and quiet, and the facilities were complete. Xiao Xu's service is warm and patient, the response is timely and thoughtful, the work is meticulous and intimate, the overall is very satisfied, the next stay will choose here 👍

Very good, the hardware facilities are very good, there are Dyson hair dryers and smart toilets. The privacy is also very good, and you can also watch movies on the sofa together.

For the price the room has everything, clean and comfortable bed, warm water shower and all amenities in bathroom. Enough space for luggage, big desk, comfy chair and plenty of different lamps monitored from bed. I did not use wifi but router in room is functioning. There is air humidifier and water kettle. Location is very good. A 30 min walk to the town square and shopping street. 10 min taxi to train station and airport bus. Excuse my mess om the photos ;) I had a long flight from Stockholm Sweden.
