GGuest UserWe absolutely fell in love with this hotel - both the room and the overall environment. It is a beautiful hotel and we took loads of photos. Strongly recommending this hotel, especially if you are looking for a comfortable stay and easy travel to tourist destinations. We also recommend the Indian food downstairs as it was delicious. Thank you for the hospitality!

HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

GGuest UserFacilities: The rooms are spacious, featuring a convenient wet/dry separation in the bathrooms. They are well-equipped with floor heating, humidifiers, and oxygen concentrators, making them ideal for the high-altitude environment. Each room thoughtfully includes a high-altitude care package, containing items like face masks and hair essential oil. Breakfast is provided, offering local specialties such as tsampa, yak milk, and traditional ******* pastries. For lunch, there's a 20 CNY buffet, and dinner options range from ******* cuisine to various rice bowl dishes. Guests can relax and enjoy the views from the third-floor observation deck, the serene courtyard, or the on-site coffee shop. The hotel offers 10 complimentary courtyard photo shoots (including 10 raw shots and 1 professionally retouched photo; makeup services are available for an additional 100 CNY). Additionally, guests have free access to the hotel's Gesar Gyapo Museum. Cleanliness: The rooms are impeccably clean, and the overall hygiene is excellent, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. Ambiance/Environment: Steeped in 400 years of history, this former Nepalese consulate beautifully preserves its heritage. The hotel showcases authentic ******* elements like ancient pillars and intricately carved windows, while the courtyard boasts a century-old tree, exuding an atmosphere rich with antique ******* charm. Its prime location next to Barkhor Street means the Jokhang Temple is just a 400-meter walk away, offering excellent convenience for exploration. The courtyard is bathed in abundant sunshine, providing a tranquil and inviting environment perfect for relaxation. Upon entry, guests are greeted by cultural exhibits, and the lobby and other public areas are tastefully decorated. The on-site Gesar Gyapo Museum further enriches the cultural ambiance of the hotel. Service: The front desk staff and security guards are exceptionally warm and attentive. Guests are welcomed with a traditional Hada upon arrival, assisted with luggage, and patiently guided on how to use the oxygen concentrator. Understanding the unique demands of high-altitude travel, the hotel provides thoughtful facilities and diverse dining options specifically catering to guests susceptible to altitude sickness, such as oxygen concentrators and a wide array of meal choices. As a welcoming gesture, guests receive 10 complimentary courtyard photo shoots upon check-in, complete with professional photographer services, 10 raw shots, and 1 retouched image. Admission to the hotel's Gesar Gyapo Museum is also free for all guests.

GGuest UserAfter searching for a long time online, I chose the Verona International Hotel. What attracted us at first was the location, which is really good. It is only more than 100 meters away from the Potala Palace. You can shoot the scenery of the Potala Palace at 180℃, which is particularly beautiful. I would like to thank Sister Wu of Sky Mirror for patiently helping us take pictures. Her skills are comparable to those of first-class photographers. I am very moved. The breakfast is also very rich. The service awareness of the entire hotel service staff is very strong, enthusiastic, and full of intimacy, just like going home. This is the first time I have felt such warm service. Moreover, for a hotel of this price and standard, this price is super cost-effective. I strongly recommend it to everyone. The night tour guide has a wide range of knowledge and good service. He took pictures of us all while lying down. I give him 100 points. The sour soup yak beef hot pot on the first floor of the hotel is also a feature. The 200 yuan set meal is super value and very good. Everyone must come to check in when they arrive in Lhasa. Facilities: good Hygiene: good Environment: good Service: good

GGuest UserI extended my stay in Lhasa for two more days. The first night I had a double room, which I loved from the moment I entered. The service and room cleanliness were simply fantastic, and the value for money was excellent. For a tourist city like Lhasa, this is quite impressive. It's also relatively close to the Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The second night, I wanted to extend my stay but there were no rooms available. The receptionist kindly helped me get a standard room, which was also very kind of her! The herbal tea in the lobby was also delicious!

MM520513****The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to Lhasa's main thoroughfare, Jiangsu Road. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street area, where you can experience the traditional charm of the ancient city. The Potala Palace is also only about 3 kilometers away, making taxi rides very easy. Furthermore, there are numerous dining options nearby, and getting to famous attractions like Norbulingka and Sera Monastery is relatively convenient. The hotel's service quality leaves a deep impression on guests. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, and check-in and check-out processes are efficient. Staff members proactively greet guests and sometimes even offer small snacks like yak jerky, which adds a warm and welcoming touch. Considering Lhasa's high-altitude environment, all room types offer a 'diffused oxygen supply' service, with 24-hour free oxygen and humidifiers. This is crucial for alleviating altitude sickness and ensuring a good night's sleep, making it a top choice for many tourists, especially those visiting Tibet for the first time. The hotel boasts a spacious courtyard with an elegant and atmospheric ambiance. Guests can enjoy slow-paced Lhasa life here by gathering around a fire for tea and chatting, which is very pleasant. Guests generally rate the rooms as spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with new and complete facilities. Bathrooms are equipped with heating, so there's no need to worry about getting cold while showering. The beds are comfortable, ensuring a good rest. The hotel also offers a rich and varied buffet breakfast with good flavors. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant provides a selection of beverages.

__WeChat33316****Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! [laughing emoji] If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🙋‍♀️🙋

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage. The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app. There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
