IItchyButtA new hidden gem in Medan... Elais by Artotel. A brand new hotel less than a month old as of review time. Renovations are still at work.. but they make sure everything is top notch during your stay... From the front desk , the F&B staff, housekeeping and security... All is good...
For F&B.. the Soto Medan for breakfast is to die for.. nice...
If you are a light sleeper.. do ask for room beyond the X07 or further from the lift... As probably over the weekend .. the cafe across the road has love music that might be loud for u..
Other than that.. it's all good.. the better ARToTEL in Medan

Bboon22Basic room but clean ( not comfy though). Strategic location within walking distance to Plaza Medan Fair and Damri bus station to/fro Kuala Namu Airport. Kakiku massage just steps away. Breakfast is simple but adequate.

CCikgu AzmiStayed here for three nights and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying. Location was convenient for sightseeing and transport. Overall, good value for money and worth recommending to families and solo travelers.

AAndeep WelltravelAll was well until they tried to charge at checkout for a stain on the actual duvet, I pointed out that it was not on the duvet cover and therefore can't of been us - be wary of this.... they returned my deposit but nice try!
Other than that the hotel is nice - very new and still a couple of things that I'm sure they will see to in the coming week

SSologirl* Prime Location. It is right next to the Medan Train Station and literally side-by-side with Centre Point Mall, making shopping and transport incredibly convenient.
* Outstanding Staff: The reception team was professional! I truly appreciated them granting me a late check-out until 1:00 PM.
While the room was on the smaller side, it was clean and well-maintained.
However I noticed the pillow sheets were quite old and had turned a dark, faded color. They definitely weren't white anymore! Housekeeping should retire these linens and ensure only fresh, bright whites are used for guests.
I spotted some small ants near the desk/phone area. A quick treatment from maintenance would help keep the workspace clean.

GGuest UserVery convenient location..close to the 'old town' area of Medan and the city centre.
Apartment had good facilities and a nice pool which was well maintained.
Negative was the bed linen needs updating and the pillows were not nice.
For the price of 10 night stay it is fantastic value and adjust expectations accordingly.

ЕЕвгенийRoom with a window, with normal Wi-Fi. There is a large work desk, a large bed. The only thing missing is a refrigerator. This is one of the best hotels in the city, so we can safely recommend it for check-in.
Hearty breakfasts, a restaurant downstairs where you can eat throughout the day for not the highest prices. Good location next to a large shopping center, supermarket and night food outlets.

The room was ok glad we swapped out of smoking though as the thick wallpaper and carpet just added to the ashtray smell which is why we asked to change to non smoking
Room on third floor done nicely and was fresh no wall paper to be seen
