Guest UserThis hotel represents exceptional value for money, with quality rooms and exceptional services. I stayed 3 nights in April 2026, and i have wonderful view on the 8 floor. This trip was combination of business and pleasure. The breakfast had a range of options, catering for western and Indonesian tastes. However, it would be nice if milk was refrigerated, as with other Marriot group properties in Bal. There is a supermarket across the street and very large hypermarket about 5 minute walk from the hotel. An excellent bakery is 2 minute walk from the hotel. This hotel is not near major shopping malls, but they can be easily reaching via a grab taxi for about $2 in 10 mins. The bed was super comfy and arm chair was great. However, the desk height was not really appropriate and do not sufficient for business work. However, I completed most work in the armchair with pillows for the laptop. Excellent range of TV channels including BBC and CNN. An ice bucket costs 50,000 IDR. ($4 Aus dollars) I used the pool which was great on 2nd floor with city views. Unfortunately, the hotel is situated on extremely busy road and be careful when walking on the sidewalks (footpaths), it can be easy to fall. Still, I would highly recommended this hotel for the price paid and outstanding service and room quality for 4 star establishment. .

Anonymous UserAfter breakfast yesterday, I planned to head straight to the museum from my room and then take the Airport Express train to the airport. But guess what? The door wouldn't open (my card showed a green light, but the door just wouldn't budge). I called the floor attendant, and even her master key couldn't open it. She was quite helpful, immediately calling engineering, but no one answered. I was in a hurry, so I told her to keep calling while I went downstairs to the front desk for help. There were two ladies in hijabs at the front desk. They sent a male staff member up with me, but still, no luck! Then, the engineering guy arrived with a power drill, but that didn't work either. I told them to wait... I was just standing in the hallway, no chairs anywhere. Eventually, I thought, 'This isn't going to work, I need to push them at the front desk where at least there are seats.' So, after about forty minutes of this ordeal, they told me the door was open and to come up. When I got into the room, I saw that the ceiling panel above the door had partially fallen off (was this the reason? I don't know, and I didn't have time to haggle with them). I checked out immediately, rushed to the museum, then to the train station. I made it to the Airport Express with just three minutes to spare! Thanks to the tuk-tuk driver who helped me sprint with my luggage. Looking back, this hotel was terrible. From start to finish, not a single apology! The front desk ladies in hijabs acted like it wasn't their problem, totally unconcerned. While waiting, I was going up and down by myself, and no one from the front desk even bothered to come up to check on the situation; they just sent staff. At the time, I didn't know how long it would take to open the door or if I'd miss my flight, so I tried calling Ctrip, but I could only speak to a robot customer service! Ugh. What an unpleasant experience. The door wouldn't open, and this brand-name chain hotel had no solution! It really messed up my schedule!

Anonymous UserThe environment is good, located in the heart of Medan, close to shopping malls and not far from the Medan city rail station. Taxis are also convenient. It's worth noting that Medan Airport is quite a distance from the hotel, about a 1-hour taxi ride.

Not bad, pretty decent value for money. Breakfast was okay, but the hotel's surroundings aren't very convenient. Medan itself also feels quite chaotic.

azmismeIt is a good hotel but needs to maintain its facilities. Food was good too. It says new normal but they are stuck at covid still with the barriers at the reception. Posters about covid are everywhere.
