Great for families, everything is close by and it's very quiet – no car horns or anything. You'll need a car though. There's a supermarket and a laundry service nearby. If you order by phone, they'll deliver right to the hotel, which is convenient. The only thing missing is a small rug or carpet in the room, as it's all tiled.

This hotel is right next to the Khan el-Khalili market, but the road leading to it is incredibly narrow, so much so that tour pick-up vehicles can't get through! The room was clean but extremely small; it was even hard to open a 28-inch suitcase.

We checked in very late, around 2:00am, as we arrived back late from Hurghada. We only managed to sleep for about 3 hours before heading out again for our desert tour, but even in such a short stay, the hospitality really stood out. Thank you so much to the hotel for kindly helping us store our luggage, this small help made a big difference to our travel plans. A very special thank you to Hazim. They were extremely helpful and genuinely kind. We had trouble booking an Uber, as drivers kept asking for extra money and rejecting foreign calls. In the end, Kasim patiently helped us book a car, guided us to the driver, and made sure everything was settled properly. Their kindness and willingness to help, even in the early hours of the morning, truly meant a lot to us. This is the kind of service that travelers will always remember. The room has an amazing view of the promenade and the site where the Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood. The room itself is a bit dated, but the view, the veranda, and the price more than make up for it.

Surprisingly, my apartments were with two bedrooms and a living room that I didn't expect. Good surprise. All clean, staff friendly, there are laundry services. I'll come back again when I'm in Cairo again. Recommendation for owner: Add to the fans, batteries to all the remotes and more towels.

The hotel is basic but very fair considering the price point. It is also very close to the airport and there are many supermarkets around the area. I recommend this place if you search something to be close to the airport. The host is extremely friendly and takes good care of his guests.

1. The location is good, within walking distance to the Egyptian Museum, subway, and kazaz, which is a 1.3km walk from gobus tahir station, which is very downtown. 2. The hotel has an elevator, which is very rare. I have stayed in a nearby hotel which is also located in an old house. There is no elevator and I need to carry my luggage. The elevator is not big enough to accommodate about 4 people (without luggage), but it is much better than climbing stairs by yourself. 3. There is one triple room and one double room. The triple room is quite spacious and the standard room is not large enough. 4. There is no hot water kettle or hair dryer in the room, you can ask for it at the front desk, but the number of these two items in the entire hotel is limited, so I waited for a long time... 5. It’s more cost-effective to pay in US dollars than in Egyptian pounds. The exchange rate for paying Egyptian pounds is not so good. 6. Breakfast starts at 8:00. If you want to go to the Black and White Desert, the driver usually picks up at 7:30. If you don’t have time to eat breakfast, you can go to the rooftop restaurant to pack some (the restaurant is still preparing breakfast at 7:30, and the things that can be packed are limited. Eggs, bread, flatbread, jam, that’s all)

I stayed at this hotel again after returning from Hurghada, mainly because of its convenience. The receptionist was as welcoming as ever, and his ”welcome back” was just right. A very handsome young man at the front desk also showed me to my room. I booked a single room, which was a bit small and cramped, but it had a private bathroom for easy showering. I tried the Lebanese and Egyptian restaurants near the hotel, both of which were quite good.

This hotel is simple in terms of facility and services. But, it was good enough for me. The cost was reasonable and location was convinient for me. Only thing I want to complain is the shower room. After taking shower, I needed to wipe water spiled over outside the shower room.
