Find 3-Star Hotels in Zurich

The Adler is an excellent choice hotel in the heart of Old Zürich. As a global business traveller, I have stayed in over 100 hotels. This hotel offers the perfect location to see Zürich with a short 10 min walk from Zürich HB🚄 Train Station. The single room is sufficient, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee, tea, slippers and a gift cloth shopping bag. If you need extra complimentary beverages they are stocked in the fridge on the 1st floor stairwell. Checkin was fast, and you can pre-checkin on your email link. At the time of writing this, there was some city construction of the surrounding streets due to underground work. Hopefully this will be completed by early spring. Should your shoes get a little dirty, there is a shoe shine machine on the 2nd stairwell. The breakfast is a healthy Swiss style breakfast of fresh bread, croissants🥐, yogurts, fresh warm boiled eggs, cold cuts, smoked salmon❤️ , cheese, cereals, lots of fruits, milk, juice and an excellent coffee machine for the perfect creama coffee☕. I had the opportunity to have cheese fondue in their restaurant and let me tell you, it is fantastic! Thank you and see you again! Regards from 🇨🇦 B

Hotel Bristol Zurich is in a perfect location, especially for a short layover. You’re within walking distance of all the main sights, the Old Town, restaurants, and the train station, which makes exploring the city very convenient. However, the price does not match the experience. The hotel felt more like a dated motel than a centrally located Zurich property. There were no toiletries provided (unless you pay) the breakfast selection was very minimal, and the overall atmosphere lacked warmth. Unfortunately, the front desk service was not welcoming, which made the stay feel even less pleasant. If location is your top priority, it works. But for the price, I expected much more.

The room was quite small, but it came with a microwave, utensils, and more. There's a supermarket downstairs that's open late, so you can buy food, store it in the room, and heat it up later if you get hungry. You can store your luggage, but the storage room isn't locked. Access to the building and rooms is via a passcode. However, even if it's past the 3 PM check-in time, you'll have to wait a few minutes for the passcode to activate before you can open your room door.

My first visit to Switzerland on my honeymoon was Zurich! I felt good as soon as I arrived in Zurich and I was satisfied because the accommodation was clean. It's not as far from the station as I thought:-) There's nothing you can't find around here and you can walk around Zurich. It's great to see the night view and go home.

We stayed at ibis Zürich City West for one night while visiting Zurich, and it worked well as a straightforward place to stay for a quick stop in the city. We had a triple room, which was a good size and worked well for our needs. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with enough space for luggage and a good night’s sleep after travelling. It wasn’t luxurious, but it had everything you would expect from an Ibis hotel and felt well maintained. In terms of location, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it reasonably convenient if you’re arriving by train. The area felt easy to navigate, and although it’s not right in the historic centre, it’s close enough to reach the main parts of the city without too much difficulty. Our stay was very short — we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning — so we didn’t get the chance to explore the hotel or use any of the facilities such as the restaurant or breakfast service. For us, the hotel simply served as a comfortable overnight stop. I would recommend ibis Zürich City West if you’re looking for a clean, reliable hotel for a short stay in Zurich. It’s particularly suitable if you just need somewhere practical to sleep before continuing your journey.

The hotel is so close to the main station which is very convenient. The room was clean and fresh smelling. There was no fan in the bathroom, so it got pretty steamy after a shower. Continental breakfast was good with fresh breads and croissants. They did have some hot food that was average. Lots of different places to eat close by and close to the old city.

The hotel is self-check in, Ctrip did not send a reservation number starting with 4, resulting in the need to contact the hotel staff to check in. The location of the hotel is not close to the train station, it takes 10 minutes to walk or take the tram. But at this price, there are not many choices in Zurich, but fortunately the hotel is clean and business trips are ok.

I really don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from, I loved this place. Stayed there for 3 nights and had a great experience. Everything was clean and nice, sheets were clean, no bedbugs, no bad smell, very nice and light room, tv, balcony, hair dryer, towels, shampoo, toilet paper, dishes, small fridge that even had a little freezer inside, stove, the place had everything you might need while travelling. Had no problems with check in, the box is behind the building outside, just put my code in and got the keys, never had to contact any of the stuff, everything was on time. The building has an elevator. The only little thing was that there was a little floor damage that was not a problem for me, and the shower curtain was a bit dirty, would recommend them to change it. I expected this place to be really bad after reading all those reviews, but I got very surprised when I got there, everything was great, would definitely stay there again. The location is great, I'd say pretty walkable like 30 minutes walk to the main station, but there's also a tram stop right next to the building, as well as kiosks, stores and restaurants.

We had a great stay at Swiss Star California – Self Check-IN! The place was really comfortable and clean. The best part is the self check-in – super convenient, especially if you're arriving late. Everything worked smoothly, and the location was easy to find. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a hassle-free stay.

Let's face it Switzerland and Zurich aren't affordable for the budget traveller. So this accommodation isn't exactly value but it isn't too bad. Location is good proximity to the train station (10 minutes walk) but to the historic quarter and the lake it's a little bit further (allow 25-30 mins). There's supermarkets located less than 50 metres away (across the street and up the road). Also plenty of places to get food or go to a bar. The communication via email was prompt, timely and detailed. There's no reception here and you get instructions and codes to access things. The room was an ok size but very spartan in regard to fittings or amenities. Think a clean, one star hotel and this is it. There's no kettle or AC but there's a hairdryer and TV. Also note that it's on a busy road and the area is up and coming. This means traffic, people and cars. So it can get noisy. Even the Swiss people can be loud sometimes. I was lucky it wasn't a warm evening, so I could keep the window shut but if it was open, there would be enough noise to make it hard to fall asleep (and I was on the floor 3).
