Amazing
BBryan KwangThe Adler is an excellent choice hotel in the heart of Old Zürich. As a global business traveller, I have stayed in over 100 hotels. This hotel offers the perfect location to see Zürich with a short 10 min walk from Zürich HB🚄 Train Station. The single room is sufficient, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee, tea, slippers and a gift cloth shopping bag. If you need extra complimentary beverages they are stocked in the fridge on the 1st floor stairwell. Checkin was fast, and you can pre-checkin on your email link. At the time of writing this, there was some city construction of the surrounding streets due to underground work. Hopefully this will be completed by early spring. Should your shoes get a little dirty, there is a shoe shine machine on the 2nd stairwell. The breakfast is a healthy Swiss style breakfast of fresh bread, croissants🥐, yogurts, fresh warm boiled eggs, cold cuts, smoked salmon❤️ , cheese, cereals, lots of fruits, milk, juice and an excellent coffee machine for the perfect creama coffee☕.
I had the opportunity to have cheese fondue in their restaurant and let me tell you, it is fantastic! Thank you and see you again! Regards from 🇨🇦 B
HHappygirlisme 1Staff was very friendly when we checked in. Room was a little small but enough for us to rest in for a day. Had a good night sleep and location wise was good. Near to Zurich HB about 10 mins walk from station. We were carrying 2 large suitcases only had 1 challenging point where we needed to carry them up a flight of stairs on the way to the hotel from the train station.
JJie-aoThe hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from HB train station. The front desk uses self check-in; if you haven't signed up for a Ruby membership before, you'll need to fill out some information, but it only takes a few minutes. I really liked the room's style, and it was quite clean. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but they had various breads and a dozen different jams. When I went for breakfast, a very handsome guy stopped me and asked for my room number, haha, very friendly!
SShaowushihuGreat location! It's close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk to Bahnhofstrasse, and there's a Coop supermarket right downstairs.
GGuest UserLess than a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room is a bit small but offers great value for money. There's a small common lounge area at the front desk where you can work, and they offer luggage storage.
AAnonymous UserMy first visit to Switzerland on my honeymoon was Zurich!
I felt good as soon as I arrived in Zurich and I was satisfied because the accommodation was clean.
It's not as far from the station as I thought:-)
There's nothing you can't find around here and you can walk around Zurich.
It's great to see the night view and go home.
LLee W.KThe location is convenient, close to Zurich Train Station and the city centre. However, the hotel Wi-Fi is unstable and tends to disconnect automatically. The breakfast selection is limited, and the room does not have a ventilation fan. On the positive side, the check-in and check-out process was very easy and fully self-service, with no staff required.
GGuest UserOverpriced accommodation because the building is old and the bed was not propely maintained upon arrival, also very difficult to find out the room because according to the instruction the room number and floor mentioned on the key, however there was not proper information provided on the key there was too many number it was very difficult to understand especially for tourist person or any new cummers. I would like to suggest they should be allocate the one person in the building who can assist to the people . Bed was totally uncomfortable, LED was too old no smart TV, if anyone coming from any other countries so how they will be understand the Channel on TV. They should be updated the things, I'm not fully satisfied, one main thing on arrival room door was already opened. It was so strange for me and I was struggling to find out the room till 1 hour. Apart from that, location wise it was ok near to the tram, bus, and train station as well as near to the airport.
GGuest UserLet's face it Switzerland and Zurich aren't affordable for the budget traveller. So this accommodation isn't exactly value but it isn't too bad.
Location is good proximity to the train station (10 minutes walk) but to the historic quarter and the lake it's a little bit further (allow 25-30 mins). There's supermarkets located less than 50 metres away (across the street and up the road). Also plenty of places to get food or go to a bar.
The communication via email was prompt, timely and detailed. There's no reception here and you get instructions and codes to access things.
The room was an ok size but very spartan in regard to fittings or amenities. Think a clean, one star hotel and this is it. There's no kettle or AC but there's a hairdryer and TV.
Also note that it's on a busy road and the area is up and coming. This means traffic, people and cars. So it can get noisy. Even the Swiss people can be loud sometimes. I was lucky it wasn't a warm evening, so I could keep the window shut but if it was open, there would be enough noise to make it hard to fall asleep (and I was on the floor 3).
