The hotel is not far from the train station, but walking with large luggage can be a bit challenging due to an uphill path. Taking the tram for just two stops is a more convenient option. During my stay, there was construction next to the hotel, so I had to cross the street to walk on the other side.
Cleanliness:
The hotel is clean, and housekeeping provided daily room cleaning and fresh towels.
Service:
Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was able to leave my luggage in the storage room before check-in time without any issue.
Facilities:
There’s hot water available for instant noodles and wooden cutlery provided, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was tasty, though the selection was limited — it would be even better with a salad bar."

"Excellent location just a 3-minute walk from the main train station and close to the shopping street. The room with a clean, spacious, and beautifully designed room that’s well-lit, plus great-smelling toiletries, convenient amenities like wireless charging. The hotel nearby have COOP supermarket and McDonald's. The hotel even has a cinema on the first floor with daily 8 PM showings. Overall a 5-star stay, though the hallway carpet should use vacuum to clean up."

"Decor is too gaudy for my taste. Can't fathom why is there a mirror facing the bed (is 2 full bodied mirrors in a 20m2 room necessary?) nor why are there face masks on the bed lamps. Other than the decor though the place is new and clean. Just 10 mins tops from zurich airport which is nice for late arrivals. Booked a night for just 110CHF before it opened - I see its now 200CHF."

"For business travel, it is 20 minutes away from the city center by bus. It's okay. There is nothing else to say. Budget hotels and Swiss hotels are expensive. 1000 a night, you can see for yourself."

"Helvetia Hotel exceeded my expectations, offering a much better experience than suggested by the photos on the booking site. The place is impeccably clean—even the shower screen was nearly spotless.
The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. The bathroom was brightly lit and generous in size, with shampoo, soap and body lotion in different glass bottles. I particularly appreciated the cozy common room near the lobby, where guests enjoy a cup of Nespresso or tea, courtesy of the hotel.
The location is convenient, with a large supermarket just a one-minute walk away and at least two cafes within walking distance. However, it’s about a 15-minute walk from the main station, which might be a consideration for some travelers.
Overall, it’s a solid choice, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Zurich."

luggage lockers are all full when I arrived (around 13pm) we put it in the room (not in the locker) very unsecured as the don't guarantee the safety of the luggage ( have a memo sticked on the wall)
self check in is good but too rigid, i tried to checkin the room at 15:00 but still need to wait for the hotel to send the confirmation message to checkin the room .

GGuest UserWe just have 1 bottle water free in 1 room for for 3 person, even we stayed for 3 night...only in the first night we had 1 bottle water free..We suggest that if posible give 1 bottle water for 1 person everyday/night...and the tissue just 1 box only 1 time for 3 nights staying.

Next, the hotel has a space limited lift in built.
The counter was helpful and friendly during our stay in hotel. Definitely something every travellers looking.

The hotel is conveniently located near Zurich HB, which makes it great for travelers. There’s also a lift, which is helpful for carrying luggage.
Breakfast was decent. As someone with dietary restrictions (halal), the options were limited — mainly bread, eggs, and mushrooms. There were also apples and canned fruits available for yogurt, which was a nice touch.
The room itself was decent and comfortable. However, cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved — the movable mirror was rusty. That said, I had read some negative reviews beforehand, so I came prepared to expect the worst, and honestly, it turned out better than I expected.
The TV wasn’t a smart TV, even though the remote had a smart menu option, which was a bit odd. Zurich city area can be quite uneventful, so one or two nights here is enough.
The in-room coffee machine looked promising at first but turned out to be faulty. When I asked the front desk, they said it needed time to heat up — even after an hour, it didn’t work. Thankfully, there was a hot water dispenser near the café in the lobby.
Overall, the stay was acceptable — nothing fancy, but it does the job if you’re not expecting luxury.

GGuest UserI arrived at around 10 o'clock in the evening, and after searching for a while, I found the hotel's check-in number and there was actually a parking space. I was lucky, and the location was very close to the Zurich Museum of Fine Arts. The next day we were allowed to park the car until we left at 3pm, which was a good experience.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent. It is only a 5-6 minute walk to Zurich train station. There is a supermarket right across the street and plenty of restaurants nearby. You can easily walk to some of the most beautiful places in Zurich.
The room I stayed in had a kitchen, plates, cutlery, and a microwave.
The cleanliness could be better, but it was not terrible—just average.
The room had towels and dish soap, but there were no slippers or soap.

No kettle in the room is a little bit inconvenient. And my room is near the road, so it's noisy for cars passing and sometimes men talking outside.

ZzaborszkybI didn’t want to give 1 star but it was really disappointing. Oka, Trip.com didn’t mention that there is AC, so it’s fair that the room didn’t have it but not even a fan and it was extremely hot! There is no trash bin in the room so we had to use our own plastic bags to collect waste. There is no wifi (even though they promised there would be info in the room about it, there wasn’t). The shower has no curtain or wall so water splashed everywhere when taking shower. Nonetheless, it was fine for just sleeping but even with the quite low price considering it’s Zürich, it was not a pleasant experience. Maybe I’m too picky, hence the neutral rating.

The entrance, hallways and the stairs up to the room etc. were a bit run down and dirty looking but inside the apartment was great and incredibly warm and cozy in the majority of the room. I was very cold coming in so that was perfect for me. Only problem was not being able to turn the heat down at night (I didn't find any way to do it at least) and I had to sleep with the window open where trains would come and go very often and people outside on the street yelling random things sometimes at night, so I didn't sleep very well. The heat came from the ceiling in the bedroom. Also had some people arguing on the floor below and some stomping on the floor above around 00:00 to 03:00 but that's not really the hotel's fault because there's no active staff present. Maybe worth noting is that I stayed here the night of a big concert (Slipknot) at Hallenstadion which is close by. I would stay here again if I found a way to turn the heat down at night.
