Kkifteh97Amazing experience in this ryokan! Felt very warmly welcomed by the owner who would come out to send us off or receive us when we entered or exited. Also received a welcome cake from him! Rooms were comfortable and the private onsen experience was really luxurious. Easy drive out to see the attractions we wanted to in Hakone.

I especially recommend the hot springs with discounts at the hotel. You can experience authentic Japanese hot springs for 700 yen. Very comfortable!

The Japanese-style garden is full of Japanese Zen, and it is super beautiful to take pictures. The owner is enthusiastic and fluent in English. The African artworks in the store are unique and come from his African experience. The stories are super interesting. Staying in dorm, you will meet travelers from all over the world. The atmosphere is good, and the price is 1200 yen per night, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are about 1200 yen, and they are delicious and authentic. You can also make an appointment for private time to soak in the hot springs, which is private and comfortable. There is also a luggage transportation service at Yumoto Station, which is super considerate. I sincerely recommend coming here to experience a different Hakone trip!

GGuest UserThis hotel was perfect until check-out. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helped carry the suitcases. There were board games in the lounge and the hot spring was also very good. The weird thing was that when we checked out, we didn't know that we couldn't rest in the lounge after check-out, so we were kicked out. The staff kicked us out with a nasty face. We said sorry in a nice way, but they didn't even look at us and waved us away... Is this the attitude of a service industry! Or is it the Japanese service industry... too much?
