"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Oasis Chinese Guesthouse in Egypt, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Kevin, the owner, and his wife made me feel incredibly welcome. Their warm hospitality and genuine kindness created a home-like atmosphere that made my stay truly memorable.
The guesthouse itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a relaxing visit. The peaceful surroundings and authentic charm of the property perfectly complement the friendly service provided by Kevin and his wife.
Overall, my stay at Oasis Chinese Guesthouse was delightful, thanks to the personal touch and exceptional service of its wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Egypt."

"Now I want to tell you about my experience of staying at this hotel. It all started with the fact that we arrived at this place where the hotel is located. And it is located next to the big Hilton hotel. But it was not hard to find it. And there were a lot of staff around who kindly showed us the way.
The hotel is on the 16th floor and the hotel opened only six months ago so we were kindly met. We were given keys showing two rooms and said we could choose any one we liked. It is very customer-oriented, very cool for the first time I have this attitude to your guests.
We chose a room worthy very worthy. It had a spacious balcony, the view of the Nile as we wanted, and even the pyramid was visible. The room was all the facilities of the hood fan, the tug.
We lived in four of each couple had their own room and the master bedroom , more precisely the master bedroom with his own bathroom. We didn't take the shoes with us, but the hotel representative was happy to give them to us. Since our price did not include breakfast we went to Hilton Hotel breakfast , excellent decision to all advise.
The hotel brought us more fruit. The apartments had everything for long stay washing machine, toaster, and dishes all the cooking tools .
We're delighted with this hotel. It sees this balcony has done all day. It was a special place for a special time.
If you are in Cairo I advise you to stay at this hotel."

"Room is in a good location close to Tahrir Square and Egyptian Museum. You will need to carry your luggage up the stairs for one floor after taking the lift (goes up to the sixth floor) which is something to note if you have heavy luggage. "In the old city of Cairo, the price/performance ratio is good. It is close to the old museum and can be reached on foot. The surrounding environment is also OK, not a very dirty area.
The hot water for bathing may not be supplied in the evening, so it is only warm, half cold and half warm"

"I was here looking for a clean and low-cost inn as much as possible
The room was clean and there were no insects and all my stay in Cairo was taken care of by this hostel
Due to the structure of the shower room, the floor of the toilet gets wet and the outlet of the bed is so hard that men cannot use it themselves, and they have to charge it with the outlet of the common area. I'm generally very satisfied.
The staff was kind and helpful even at late check-in at night, and the location was very grateful as the starting point for sightseeing in Cairo as the station and large bus terminal are within walking distance.
The entrance of the hotel is a little difficult to understand and it is anxious about old elevators, but the hotel is very modern and clean, so it is recommended"

Very Good
GGuest UserThis hostel has a good location and I would say that it is pretty walkable in the early morning and very late at night but the walking infrastructure is not the best in Cairo. Mid day the traffic makes it very tricky to walk around even though there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby.
Finding it is a little tricky but it is down an alley that doesn't allow cards and it is located on floor 2 of an older building. There is an elevator but all doors and gates need to be closed in order for it to work and we found guests at the hostel weren't good at closing after themselves. The staff are very kind and welcoming but we got a bit hung up on the payment. We booked on Trip with the ”Pay at the Hotel” option for 3100 Egyptian pounds for three nights in a private room but they were asking for 3600 when we were checking in. After a little back and forth they let us check in and gave us the keys so we could rest and wait for the manager's answer. The manager said no to our booked rate, we were told we booked on ******* and we now had to pay 3900 Egyptian pounds. I'm at a loss of words for this discrepancy between Trip and the hostel but there weren't better deals in the area we wanted to stay and we very reluctantly paid.
The room was just a place to sleep with a box to the side where our shower and toilet were. The box had no ceiling or ventilation so there were smells throughout the room from the drains. The beds were comfy but were not completely clean when we arrived - there was hairs in the bed sheets. The room cleanliness overall could have been better. The area is quiet at night and we got a good night's rest to spend our days exploring Cairo.
The breakfast was ok but there wasn't much room to eat in the common areas during our stay so we asked for breakfast in our room during our stay. We had a simple breakfast with a fried egg, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, banana, tea/coffee and Arabic bread. It is enough to get you through until lunch and is served starting at 8 pm. There is a convenience store close by that offers fairly priced snacks and drinks which you might want to seek out because they do not provide water at this hostel.
We hope this property improves because it seems like it used to be really good and the location is good as well.
KKENSUKEThis hotel is in a great location and was perfect as a base for sightseeing and travel. Breakfast was included and was simple but delicious, and the staff were very friendly, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. The accommodation fee was also very reasonable, so I think it was very cost-effective.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would especially recommend this place for backpackers and long-term travelers. However, the showers and toilets are shared, so it may be a bit of a challenge for those who are concerned about other people using them.
Still, considering the price, location, and staff behavior, I was very satisfied with my stay. If you are looking for a good value place to stay in Egypt, this is a hotel that you should definitely consider.
GGuest UserThe location is good as it is close to the downtown area. The building may be difficult to find at first glance. It was clean and the room was spacious for the price. The staff was also kind. You can see the whole view of Cairo from the rooftop.
The hotel is located in one part of a building, so you have to take an elevator to get to the entrance. The elevator is a different type than in Japan, so it's surprising at first, but it's fun to think of it as an experience. As the reviews said, I think this hotel can be recommended to Japanese people as well.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a renovated room so bathroom was newly done and the walls were freshly painted. Nice light options to relax with softer light. Curtain and carpet were also new and inviting. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean. We enjoyed our stay. It seems that rooms are being updated since other reviews were written. Many reviews seem harsh considering the price you pay. It's a higher end budget stay after all. We got soap, toilet paper and towel. You can't expect everything for a budget price. Reception area was nicely decorated for Ramadan and staff were friendly. Location is great and a fun part of Cairo to explore. Nice night markets! Typical city noises but not too loud to sleep considering its the centre of the city. Balcony sliding doors are new and close but there is no view to mention. Other guests we saw seemed content as they socialised in public area. I prepaid with ********* to avoid payment issues. Public areas do need some more renovation and some repairs but again, it did not reduce the comfort of my stay and it was acceptable being dusted and clean. It's good for Cairo. We enjoyed using the quaint art nouveau gilded style lift! A good experience overall.
BBeylishI stayed with my family at this hotel, but they left a little earlier than me.
My friend wanted to stay there so that we can go out late , come back to the hotel and he would be able to take me to that airport the next day but the hotel rejected him because he is from Ciaro.
I tried to apply for a refund but was rejected. I would like to withdraw the previous review, which was written under peer pressure on the( 2nd day) from one of the hotel staff members named : Hindu. The hotel was fine, but some things weren't for 1) discrimination against guests. 2) denying a refund 3) things went missing from the hotel room 4) the shower wasn't always working well 5) the carpet was very damp when I first arrived 5) my other family members had problems with the restroom, dirty water was coming up 6) my aircon wasnt working, i asked several times for help but to no avail 7) the keys were moved from one reception to another without informing guests. 8) pushy staff members are always asking for us to write reviews ( not all the staff members were like this. They were kind, helpful and present) 9) the hotel offers airport transfer but it's really expensive. Uber is much cheaper.
* I wouldn't have written, I would've let it just go but but since the hotel refuses to give a refund, I think it's only fair that other know what my REAL experience was like .
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum,
The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.
GGatekeeper of HighburyThe location of the hotel is really convenient, near Liberation Square, but it is really hard to find because there is no sign outside. If any friends see this review, they can look at the house number in Figure 5 and find it according to the house number. There is a bakery next to the corridor. After entering the corridor, take the elevator to the 5th floor and you will see this hotel. This hotel is the most cost-effective one in this price range that I have stayed in Egypt. The room is quite spacious and the bed is clean and hygienic.
BBorisThe hotel itself is basic. The room and other areas need a little work, but for the price that you pay, it’s worth it. And anyway, you just sleep there.
What impressed me was the staff. I don’t have words how amazing the staff there is. I arrived with a toothache and they helped me schedule an appointment and I even got a discount. Every tour I wanted to do , they arranged it for me. The prices were affordable. Thanks to the staff, my before #1 ranked trip just got dethroned by this one. Very thankful to Kimo, Dr. Ahmed and Carlos for taking amazing care of me. Thank you for everything.
