MM31216****I stayed in Egypt for a week by myself, so I didn't book a five-star hotel. From a 100-pound Airbnb to a 700-pound hotel, only this one and the 700-pound hotel had working air conditioning/heating, and the room cleanliness was among the top two 😥.
The downside is that this is more like renting out a private residence (the owner lives there too), and the apartment building and surrounding environment are quite poor, so you'll have to weigh the value for money yourself. For solo female travelers, I'd definitely recommend a hotel instead.
Also, I have to complain about the menu pricing. The same bottle of water costs 6 EGP (less than 1 RMB) at the downstairs supermarket. It's typical of places that charge domestic hotel prices without providing domestic hotel service quality.
GGuest UserIt was clean, and location was not bad, and cheapest in new Cairo. the only probrem is that it was hard to cheack in. I would say they should contact customer one or few days before at least.
GGuest UserThe room is large, the boss is very welcoming, and the breakfast is very Chinese-friendly. You can overlook the city of Cairo from the rooftop. I plan to stay here next time I come to Cairo. It is very close to the museum, the Hanging Church and Saladin's Castle.
SSara DindarWe had a very good stay overall. Considering Cairo standards, the apartment was clean enough and comfortable. The neighborhood and location were excellent, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby.
It’s also very close to the Nile—about a 7-minute walk. There are restaurants on boats along the river where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the view, and you can even go on a Nile cruise from the same area. Honestly, we didn’t need to take a taxi at all for dining or cafés. There’s also a really nice café right at the corner with excellent coffee—I highly recommend it.
The building itself was very quiet, and we didn’t hear any noise from neighbors at all. The only noise was from traffic on the street (cars and motorbikes), which is normal and not really a downside of the apartment.
The building had a security guard, and we were even able to leave our luggage with him after check-out, which made it much easier for us to explore the city before our flight.
Finally, special thanks to Michael, the host. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. No matter what time we messaged him, he always responded and guided us with any questions we had.
GGuest UserOur experience was GREAT. It is ranked as a hostel but it felt like a hotel. Private room was spacious with bed, sofa, wardrobe and private bathroom. Very clean. And the staff was beyond kind, a young team running the place both profesional and close. A special thanks to Wafaa, Asmaa and Ala - they made our trip to Cairo very special and if we return, it will be to the same place
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum,
The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice
BBorisThe hotel itself is basic. The room and other areas need a little work, but for the price that you pay, it’s worth it. And anyway, you just sleep there.
What impressed me was the staff. I don’t have words how amazing the staff there is. I arrived with a toothache and they helped me schedule an appointment and I even got a discount. Every tour I wanted to do , they arranged it for me. The prices were affordable. Thanks to the staff, my before #1 ranked trip just got dethroned by this one. Very thankful to Kimo, Dr. Ahmed and Carlos for taking amazing care of me. Thank you for everything.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.
AAnonymous UserGood location and nice house. Easy access location and downstairs they own a Chinese restaurant and the room also included breakfast. (Which is a bowl of noodle soup and its delicious!). It just that the living room a bit messy when I'm arrived but still clean and I had to wait around 30 minutes to check in but still acceptable. Maybe should confirm the check-in one day prior arrival so that they will be more alert. The Wifi also unavailable during my stay but its okay. The room is nice and the toilet also clean. Overall it's good and I enjoyed it.
