I looked for many hotels before coming to Egypt, but I was not satisfied with any of them. Later I found this one, where I could eat Chinese food and there were not as many people staying as in ordinary hotels; I lived very comfortably. I would like to stay here again next time I come. Thank you for the service of the boss:)

I had an acceptable stay at the Montana Hotel in Cairo. The overall experience was average, especially considering the price point. The service was friendly and helpful—staff were polite and responsive, always willing to assist with any requests.
The facilities were basic need to keep an eye on cleaning and functionality of WiFi. The room was tidy and had the essentials, though not particularly luxurious. It’s a good choice for travelers looking for a simple place to stay in a convenient location.
As for the food, it was average—breakfast with a small variety of local and continental options. It’s probably not the hotel’s highlight, but it does the job if you’re not expecting gourmet meals.
Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option in Cairo with decent service. Great for short stays or if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city.

I stayed with my family at this hotel, but they left a little earlier than me.
My friend wanted to stay there so that we can go out late , come back to the hotel and he would be able to take me to that airport the next day but the hotel rejected him because he is from Ciaro.
I tried to apply for a refund but was rejected. I would like to withdraw the previous review, which was written under peer pressure on the( 2nd day) from one of the hotel staff members named : Hindu. The hotel was fine, but some things weren't for 1) discrimination against guests. 2) denying a refund 3) things went missing from the hotel room 4) the shower wasn't always working well 5) the carpet was very damp when I first arrived 5) my other family members had problems with the restroom, dirty water was coming up 6) my aircon wasnt working, i asked several times for help but to no avail 7) the keys were moved from one reception to another without informing guests. 8) pushy staff members are always asking for us to write reviews ( not all the staff members were like this. They were kind, helpful and present) 9) the hotel offers airport transfer but it's really expensive. Uber is much cheaper.
* I wouldn't have written, I would've let it just go but but since the hotel refuses to give a refund, I think it's only fair that other know what my REAL experience was like .

Very attentive staff and super helpful with every request.

The location of the hotel is really convenient, near Liberation Square, but it is really hard to find because there is no sign outside. If any friends see this review, they can look at the house number in Figure 5 and find it according to the house number. There is a bakery next to the corridor. After entering the corridor, take the elevator to the 5th floor and you will see this hotel. This hotel is the most cost-effective one in this price range that I have stayed in Egypt. The room is quite spacious and the bed is clean and hygienic.

The room is clean and spacious, as is the bathroom.
Electrical outlets near the bed were not easily accessible.
For the other services offered by the hotel we did not have time to use them but there is no information on access times and the price of the services which is a shame.
Otherwise establishment in a quiet place and guarded by check points.
The team doesn't speak English well so it's difficult to be understood when you don't know Arabic.
I was really moved to tears by this B&B.
Facilities: Average, just the conditions for ordinary family accommodation, but everything is complete and very warm
Hygiene: Hygiene conditions of normal family accommodation
Environment: The room is large and the mattress is very comfortable. It is on the second floor. There are many Chinese shops nearby, including delicious food and supermarkets.
The point! ! !
Service: The owner of this store really moved me to tears. My friend and I filled in the wrong address on the way to the airport and the driver raised the price. We originally planned that the 250 Egyptian pounds we had would be enough to take a taxi from District 7 to the airport, but the driver Unwilling to pester, language barrier + anxious to catch a flight, there is really no way to call the boss and ask him to help us communicate. The owner of this restaurant is really nice, very patient and gentle. He comforted us first and communicated with the driver several times. He called us two or three times and told us that if we really didn’t have money, we could ask the driver to go back and ask him to get it. We said he would pick it up later. Forward it to the boss via WeChat. The Chinese people in District 7 are really amazing. The owners of 1987 Malatang and Chaolong Supermarket are also very enthusiastic and warm. Living in District 7 is very convenient for food, accommodation, exchange money and travel. The uncles, aunts, and children in the boss's family are also very friendly and cute, and it feels like visiting a friend's house. It’s really the wisest decision to book District 7 on your return trip.

Great
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in New Cairo. The boss lady is from Fujian. The food is good and satisfies everyone's Chinese appetite. The room has clean bedding, comfortable bed, quiet, and you can rest well, unlike the noisy night in Old Cairo. No matter how late it is, the boss's own driver provides free airport pick-up. The hotel is also close to the airport. You can exchange Egyptian pounds. After placing an order, the boss lady will take the initiative to contact and add WeChat, which makes communication convenient.
GGuest UserRoom is in a good location close to Tahrir Square and Egyptian Museum. You will need to carry your luggage up the stairs for one floor after taking the lift (goes up to the sixth floor) which is something to note if you have heavy luggage. Room is basic but comfortable enough, would like to suggest putting more hooks in the toilet and more electrical outlets.
Jjunzo sappaConvenient location for sightseeing in Cairo.
The price to stay was reasonable though the room size was small.
Street the hotel facing to was not busy. Then, not noisy at such central Cairo.
Family managing hotel and staffs were very kind and friendly.
The elevator to the reception on the 6th floor was very old and broken down a couple hours.
I recommend to stay there.
DDean MauriceThis hostel has a good location and I would say that it is pretty walkable in the early morning and very late at night but the walking infrastructure is not the best in Cairo. Mid day the traffic makes it very tricky to walk around even though there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby.
Finding it is a little tricky but it is down an alley that doesn't allow cards and it is located on floor 2 of an older building. There is an elevator but all doors and gates need to be closed in order for it to work and we found guests at the hostel weren't good at closing after themselves. The staff are very kind and welcoming but we got a bit hung up on the payment. We booked on Trip with the ”Pay at the Hotel” option for 3100 Egyptian pounds for three nights in a private room but they were asking for 3600 when we were checking in. After a little back and forth they let us check in and gave us the keys so we could rest and wait for the manager's answer. The manager said no to our booked rate, we were told we booked on ******* and we now had to pay 3900 Egyptian pounds. I'm at a loss of words for this discrepancy between Trip and the hostel but there weren't better deals in the area we wanted to stay and we very reluctantly paid.
The room was just a place to sleep with a box to the side where our shower and toilet were. The box had no ceiling or ventilation so there were smells throughout the room from the drains. The beds were comfy but were not completely clean when we arrived - there was hairs in the bed sheets. The room cleanliness overall could have been better. The area is quiet at night and we got a good night's rest to spend our days exploring Cairo.
The breakfast was ok but there wasn't much room to eat in the common areas during our stay so we asked for breakfast in our room during our stay. We had a simple breakfast with a fried egg, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, banana, tea/coffee and Arabic bread. It is enough to get you through until lunch and is served starting at 8 pm. There is a convenience store close by that offers fairly priced snacks and drinks which you might want to seek out because they do not provide water at this hostel.
We hope this property improves because it seems like it used to be really good and the location is good as well.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum,
The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice
JJoshDBWThe location is really central, right opposite the Egypt Museum and can be found easily on Uber. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the hospitality of the owners who were always willing to help and chat with us about what we needed or where we wanted to go. Very appreciative of them for that!
The room is comfortable enough with working AC and good size bathroom, but be prepared for the noise of traffic from outside as it’s close to a main road. Wifi also didn’t connect well in our room but maybe better for others. Breakfast is simple and more Egyptian/Arabic in style with pita, falafel, cheese and eggs + juice box.
TTommiVery hard to find. No sign on the door on the street. Person in charge didn’t know of my reservation and practically no English spoken and very hard to communicate. So was also told downstairs door is open. It was locked. Also door to accommodation was locked and I wasn’t given the code for the key box.
Not many taxis around.
The cleanliness was very good. That was only good thing besides the price.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a renovated room so bathroom was newly done and the walls were freshly painted. Nice light options to relax with softer light. Curtain and carpet were also new and inviting. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean. We enjoyed our stay. It seems that rooms are being updated since other reviews were written. Many reviews seem harsh considering the price you pay. It's a higher end budget stay after all. We got soap, toilet paper and towel. You can't expect everything for a budget price. Reception area was nicely decorated for Ramadan and staff were friendly. Location is great and a fun part of Cairo to explore. Nice night markets! Typical city noises but not too loud to sleep considering its the centre of the city. Balcony sliding doors are new and close but there is no view to mention. Other guests we saw seemed content as they socialised in public area. I prepaid with ********* to avoid payment issues. Public areas do need some more renovation and some repairs but again, it did not reduce the comfort of my stay and it was acceptable being dusted and clean. It's good for Cairo. We enjoyed using the quaint art nouveau gilded style lift! A good experience overall.
BBorisThe hotel itself is basic. The room and other areas need a little work, but for the price that you pay, it’s worth it. And anyway, you just sleep there.
What impressed me was the staff. I don’t have words how amazing the staff there is. I arrived with a toothache and they helped me schedule an appointment and I even got a discount. Every tour I wanted to do , they arranged it for me. The prices were affordable. Thanks to the staff, my before #1 ranked trip just got dethroned by this one. Very thankful to Kimo, Dr. Ahmed and Carlos for taking amazing care of me. Thank you for everything.
