honestly would only recommend to come here because of the location . if you're expecting a ”hotel” like environment, feel free to the book the one next door at raffles city . this place is located in a extremely run down apartment complex, 3 lifts and 2 are forever broken — waited for at least 10mins for every single lift ride up/down throughout the 4 nights we stayed . not sure if it's just the room we were in but we were staying in the first room right at the main door and the noise you hear every morning and night because of construction or people slamming the main door? ridiculous !!!!! the toilet was also constantly flooding and we couldnt even take showers that lasted longer than 10mins or the whole toilet and room would flood . the cleanliness of the place? prob a 4/10 — could be better but still quite sus .

The house is very clean and the location is very good. There is a subway station downstairs and a scenic spot opposite. It is especially beautiful at night. Anyway, the scenic spots are all around here, so it is convenient to go anywhere. There is also a washing machine and a freezer. The boss also gave me some guides for reference on the first day. The water pressure for the shower is really sufficient.

The location is excellent—just a short walk to both Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. The surrounding area is full of great food and local attractions. The location is very convenient, right next to the metro and in a lively neighborhood with shops, restaurants and markets working 24h.
The view of the room was spectacular! The host was nice and very responsive. The room was spacious and had all listed amenities. Only thing that could be improved a bit is cleanness.

youth hostel with positive vibes. warm and cozy music playlist make you feel at home. staff all are young and dynamic ppl. its a one floor property so you can experience all activities, music, coffee corner, working desk, meal corner, from the momment you walk in . it is inside a building, you would need take public lift to get the hotel. building lobby a bit sketchy but dun worry its safe . for me , everything okay, just the bed is too old. its not sunken but it is so hard and i can feel the spring . i asked additional duvet to layer the mattress, the young boy gave it to me and asked me to settle my self bcs its not their or aunt's job. hehe . anyway, i recommend and would like stay here again .

Good point:
1. The location is strategic, very near to jiefangbei
Bad points:
1. The cleanliness needs tremendous improvement.
The plastic curtain at bathroom is severely covered with mould. And we have to roll down the curtain everytime we use the bathroom or else people in other buildings can see whatever you are doing. Definitely not a pleasant sight to have a moulded curtain when you are taking shower and it poses serious health concern.
2. The exhaust fan in bathroom is fully covered with dust and the towels are placed just right below it.
3. There is dust at the ceiling, air cond outlets.
4. The sliding window needs repair. We are staying at level 28 whereby sometimes there is strong wind, and the window is not really in place, hence it is making noise whenever there is wind blowing. Rather disturning esp at night.
5. Despite at level 28, we still can hear the noise downstairs. So it can be very challenging for light sleepers.

GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is super super good, it's very convenient to go anywhere, not far from anywhere, I like the design style of the room, it's clean and hygienic, with smart toilets, disposable bath towels, and the room is very quiet! The boss and the boss lady are very enthusiastic, telling us about the cheap and delicious local hot pot, and told us in advance where there are pitfalls!

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

It just might be a little hot during day since we chose the panoramic one, but no regret since we go out mostly during the day and the view was superb at night. The boss also very nice and friendly, communicate with us despite our language barrier. Gave us nice gift and make sure the room is comfortable during our stay. The room just look alike the picture, the bed comfortable and the bathtub and hot water were good for us.

I thought September was the start of autumn so it'd be sunny but cooler, but it is so hot! Even though it is in walking distance to a few places like Shibati, Jiefangbei street, subway stations, those 15 minute walks are tough in the heat so either adjust the amount of days you stay to take into account for the fact you can't fit as much in after 5 pm, or travel at a different time of year haha
Location
The directions on even Chinese maps are awful so beware if you're coming in the hot months and are planning on walking from the nearest subway station. I didn't notice this, but they did message instructions over trip as well so check your messages

I think it is stairs only (there's not too many). There is a cat roaming about so note that if you're allergic - I only tend to react when I make contact with the hairs and I didn't react whilst I stayed here so it must be pretty clean (there's locks on the room doors so I guess the cat can't roam about too much)

Mattress pretty thin, but I have found most are like that in Chinese hostels. Comfy pillow and duvet. It would be nice if the curtains were a bit longer to fully block light/the occasional moth from coming underneath, but overall they do the job of maintaining privacy. Was upgraded from 6 bed to 4 bed, both look pretty similar but 4 bed is slightly further from bathroom so I guess less disturbance in the morning, plus it has a vanity area. A few steps down to the 6 bed area, there is a rack for hanging clothes and a balcony

GGuest UserI just choose a hotel for a business trip, but this hotel has a good environment and a superior location. It is relatively easy to find. The front desk is right on the side of the road. You can get there in a few minutes after getting off the subway. You can call the front desk to ask about the service attitude. Nice, warm and thoughtful! The guest rooms are very clean and tidy. The cleaning aunt and the front desk lady are very dedicated and can handle problems in a timely manner. They put themselves into the guests' shoes. It is a very satisfying stay experience! The most important thing is their projector, which gave me a surprise. It has a super large screen, which makes watching movies and watching TV series very uncomfortable. It also has a smart butler Xiaozhi, which is very convenient. The overall facilities are very comfortable, including bed sheets and furniture. It's very new, I have already added it to my collection!!!!!

GGuest UserThe location was convenient with a food street night market in front of the building and multiple sites within walking distance. The subway station was less than a 5-minute walk away. The building itself has dim, sketchy hallways, several open terraces and very poor insulation.
The check-in process was gruelling. They took a very long time to take down our passport information, asked us where the information was in the passport and asked our parents who speak Mandarin to come up with Chinese names for us on the spot because we didn’t have one. They also took photos of us on their personal cell phones, which other hotels have not done before.
The suite was reasonably sized. There was an in-suite washer, but to use the dryer, you would need to bring your wet clothes down to the 19th floor reception area. They are also able to wash and dry your laundry for you, which is a service we ultimately used.
Despite the ad mentioning daily housekeeping, that is not entirely true. Cleaning only happens upon request. When we requested additional toilet paper, they forgot to provide it and did not resupply us with enough towels. We had to message them on WeChat for it to be delivered. We were unsure whether we’d receive it, since the ad mentions a 24hr front desk, but we were told they are only open from 8AM-9PM. We’ve tried going to the office outside of these hours and there was no one there. When they did restock disposables, they left toilet paper on the kitchen counter and did not empty our trash bins.

MMaxineGood deal with trip . Hotel is big and clean. Staff are very friendly . Hotel reception are different place with Hotel. Hotel need to walk out side to get other building but near by. Other hotel abit old but for me more important room is clean.

GGuest UserThe room is clean and well-equipped. The service provided by the front desk guy is very good. The transportation is also very convenient. There are two light rail stations nearby, as well as a delicious street. There is also a little goldfish at the front desk.

FFrankyTranI got River view room on 41st floor which is extremely beautiful, the staff very helpful and help me wash clothes, let me borrow hanger to dry my clothes. The location is convenient and multiple restaurant and convenient in the ground floor.
