I had a great stay at this hotel,rooms were clean, modern, well-maintained and most importantly have a good view. The staff provided excellent service, especially via WeChat, where they helped with train information and other travel tips. Housekeeping was consistent and efficient throughout my stay.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to 山城步道 and 十八梯, making it perfect for exploring Chongqing’s historic areas. There are also plenty of food options nearby, from local street food to restaurants in Jiefangbei.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in the heart of Chongqing.
We checked in early but the room was not ready and they helped us move our luggage into the room once it was ready as well. Excellent service overall!

Room was amazing. Breakfast was very good. There was a chef special everyday. Definitely worth trying! Not all staff speaks English at the front desk. But the moment they see you don’t speak mandarin very quickly someone appears that speaks English so overal that is good. In the restaurant for dinner the staff didn’t speak English but Google translate goes a long way and they are super patient while typing in the question and translate into Chinese. Have been to quite a few hotels in my life and this one definitely is in my top 5.

The elevators on floors 1-27 are shared with businesses on other floors of the building. There are many people coming in and out, the security is a bit poor, and it takes a long time to wait for the elevator.

It is a big hotel in a very convenient location in Chongqing with a view of the river. A subway station is in walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. The only criticism we have, is that some of the amenities in the bathroom were out of order. The water didn't drain properly, we had nowhere to hang our towels and the door handle was broken. The receptionists however were very quick to have the latter fixed, so these are only minor complaints. All in all we had a good experience.

The room was good overall, and the service staff were very nice. A lady named Huang at the front desk was polite and gentle, and enthusiastically helped us solve the problem. The hotel is not far from the train station, just across the big square. The hotel's breakfast is a buffet, with common Western breakfasts such as bread and coffee, as well as Chongqing-style pea noodles and some snacks, which are particularly good.

The location is convenient, right next to Wanda, but because it is close to the business district, the noise is relatively loud. The room is clean and visibly clean, and the facilities and equipment are relatively new. If you have any problems, you can ask the room service to help you solve them. They are very enthusiastic. The breakfast is OK, matching the price of the room, the taste is light and suitable for most people, and there should be more than ten kinds of dishes. The only drawback I feel after living here is that the room is not very soundproof, and the inside and outside are not separated.

Room was super nice and modern! It's really clean and the view was beautiful. The staff are also amazing and so helpful! My train out from Wulong was cancelled and they helped me arrange another night no issues. Their shuttle car service is also so incredibly convenient and breakfast was nice too. I was also able to use the treadmill and washing machine. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful place!

I had a wonderful experience at Binle and highly recommend. The price is reasonable, the rooms have a decent amount of space and feel open, as well as nice views. The gym has many amenities including a host of lifting equipment sometimes not found in Chinese hotels, a yoga room, cycling room, cardio equipment, and even a boxing ring. The staff were very friendly and proactive in making my stay comfortable. I had a nice conversation with Cathy, the hotel director, who took me aside to learn why I chose the hotel, and who even helped me navigate some traveling in China logistics questions. Other staffers also proactively reached out and asked if I needed any more water bottles in my room, or if they could extend my checkout, having remembered when I told them when my flight leaving Chongqing was. I rated the location a 4, but it's more like a 4.5. it's close to the airport and some nice food areas but a little ways from the city center (20 min or so). Overall, highly recommend. I will be coming back here if I come back to Chongqing.

This is the best hotel I've stayed in Chonqing. It's the best value for money you can find. And what's more, you have a view of the river. The staff is very, very kind and welcoming and will help you if you have any questions. They answer the phone very quickly and make your stay enjoyable. In addition, the bed is huge and the room is very clean. The location is great, close to the city center. You have places to eat right next door. For me, this is the best hotel choice in the city because, in addition to the value for money, the view of the river is magnificent. I would recommend it to a friend.

GGaryWe stayed at The Regent for two nights and are very happy with the experience. At check-on, June and Nicole were patient with our inefficient Putonghua while introducing hotel services and facilities in details such as pool's open hour, whether swimming cap is included and the complimentary mini bar and laundry etc. The hotel is beautifully designed with dark wood rendering a sense of serenity and elegance. Our rooms enjoy captivating views of the river and Hongya Dong. The interior of the room aligns the design of the hotel with aesthetic details such as red tissue box, red stationery box, collateral with soft floral illustration. The bed is very comfortable, the firmness of the mattress is just rigjt.The hotel offers a range of amenities for our convenience which is thoughtful. The complimentary mini bar included soft drinks, white wine, beer and snacks, a very nice offerings..Each room received complimentary laundry of 3 pieces of basic garment which suit our needs. We enjoyed the complimentary special bath as well, rose bath and lemon bath, it is a fantastic gesture. We had breakfast at the Lounge, the buffet quality and selection were wonderful. The Chongqing XiaoMian was the star. The local breakfast specialities and the western choices were all tasty including the fried mackeral, steamed dim sum and the fresh salad. The hotel pool is nice, it is 25m and is indoor. The Regent is located in the financial district, adjacent to a shopping mall. There is a good variety of restaurants and local stores. The Concierge team is friendly and helpful I was not able to catch the team member's name but he has assisted us with our luggages and saw us off with a sincere smile. We had a very memorable stay!

TThomas RxModern and stylish 5-star hotel. The room is spacious, modern furnished and equipped with comfortable bedding. The bathrooms are clean and bright. The premium rooms are fitted with a bath tube. We preferred a room with a shower cabin. The breakfast is excellent. Attentive, English speaking staff was always present.
We faced some problems to get a taxi or a DiDi in useful time from the hotel, especially during a public holiday. The taxi ride to Jiefangbei (Liberty Square) has taken us over one hour. There are no restaurants in walking distance. There is a metro station in 10 minutes walking distance.

The only minor challenge is the main road does not come up to the front of the hotel. But the hotel staff were there to greet us at the road and carry our luggage up to the entrance.

GGuest UserThe room was very satisfactory. We brought a 16-year-old son. The two rooms were very well set up. They had their own hot spring pools. The water was provided in a loop. It was very convenient and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. The cloakroom was a little small, but the space was reasonable. The hotel facilities were a little old. The plugs were not enough and there was no USB port, which was a little inconvenient.
The hotel environment was excellent. It was right by the Jialing River. The North Hot Spring Spring was right next to it. The air was super fresh. You could hike along the riverside trail when the weather was good. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time this time and it was raining. We didn't have time to walk to King Kong Village. We can try it next time.
The hotel provides pick-up and drop-off services. The car was very comfortable, the driver was on time, and the service was thoughtful. It was very good.
The hotel is not far from the downtown of Beibei. You can take a taxi there for dinner.
Banshan Garden Hot Spring: The hot spring in the package was also very comfortable. We rushed in the first wave. There were few people, the water was very clean, there were many pools, and the scenery was amazing. The service in the changing and shower areas was average. The towels were not delivered in time, and sometimes there was no one. I hope this can be improved.
Customized travel photography: The travel photography was good, Teacher Zixuan was quite professional, and it was pretty good overall.
One suggestion: the hotel facilities are a bit old, and the original design may not have considered too much, and it is not very friendly to people with inconvenient legs and feet, especially the lobby and hot springs, where there are no elevators. Because the breakfast room is on the bottom floor, the battery car can only be parked on the road, and you have to take the stairs to eat or go through the formalities in the lobby. I hope the hotel can consider upgrading it.

MMichael SlawAn absolutely excellent terrific hotel. The river view rooms were very lovely. The breakfast was $11/person if you preselected it, and definitely worth it. 50th floor views and a smorgasbord of Chinese and Western cuisine.
The pool was nice too.
Very centrally located and great launching off point to explore Chongqing.

GGuest UserI have mixed feelings about this hotel. It seems to provide a good service, according to its category. I found two main issues though. The room I was given does not exactly match the photos of the room I booked. In particular it was a very dark room with a very small window and bad views. I am surprised this hotel is considered one of the top scenic views im Chongqing. All others I have been provided better views. Either I was given a lower category room, or the published photos are deceitful. The second issue is about breakfast, it was really chaotic. For example, after a first course, I went to pick some more foods, then when I was back I noticed the hotel personnel had already removed everything from my table. The place feels overcrowded and noisy, and food quality is average. Even if I had already paid for it, next day I decided to save myself the uncomfortable mechanics and I skipped.

DDerickOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

GGuest UserThis is a serviced apartment and I booked 2 x two bedroom River view apartments for my family of 6. We are from the UK and Hong Kong. The apartment was very spacious 128 sq metres with big living room, dining room, kitchen, separate laundry room, master bedroom + en-suite and walk-in closet and 2nd bedroom with bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The property is right by the riverside in a relatively quiet area and next door is a police station. Chongqing is a very heavily populated city and it was somewhat of a relief to come back to a more peaceful area. It’s very safe and behind the property about 10 mins walk up the stair route is a shopping district. Note: this is a serviced apartment and there are families who live here on a longer term basis. I didn’t notice any big tour group style guests either. It’s not a huge famous branded hotel, so you need to carry the name card and address of the property to tell the taxi drivers.
The breakfast is a simple buffet style. More continental style with a few more hot add-ons like dumplings and eggs. You can also order takeout and the it will be delivered to your room via a robot!
The front desk staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak much English. However, they do try to use a translation app and we were able to converse. They would give us recommendations on tourist hotspots and detailed explanations on how to get there by public transportation. The staff may not be so international, but they are friendly, helpful and kind hearted if you give them some patience. I must commend Nancy from front desk for helping me to courier a jacket which I left in the wardrobe after check-out. It was delivered back to my home in Hong Kong the next day. Much appreciation for her texting me in English and having such a helpful manner.
I was able to use the washing machine/dryer for my laundry and found it thoughtful that they provided a sachet of washing powder. The appliances : fridge, microwave, washing machine, electric hobs are all good quality Siemens, Electrolux. Whilst the property is slightly dated, the decor of the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and had the sense of quiet luxury. I would recommend that they put in a better quality of shower curtain to keep up with the rest of the decor. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels refreshed daily too. They don’t have cotton buds or cotton wool, toothbrush etc. in the bathroom trays like the do in normal hotels but the front desk do give you a set of toothbrush upon check-in. I believe this is something to do with an eco-friendly policy.
My family members used the pool facilities in the mornings and found it to be big enough for a good swim. The only thing they were not used to was lack of a life-guard manning the pool and also the sauna and steam room were a bit dated.
Overall, a very positive experience and good value for the price. It is like a home away from home and excellent for families who want to be together, yet also retreat to their own rooms.
