GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists. Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

GGuest User🚗For self-driving trips, a hotel with parking is the top choice. This one has parking right at the entrance. The parking lot isn't great, but it's convenient. 🚶 The hotel is conveniently located, just a few minutes' walk from the visitor center, where you can take the scenic bus to the Puhua Underground River. You can also visit the covered bridge and explore the ancient town. 🏠 I stayed in a standard room on the second floor. The beds were one 1.1 meters and one 1.2 meters, not the 1.3 meters listed online. Cleanliness was average, and the room had a slightly musty smell, likely due to the recent heavy rains. 🍽️ There are plenty of restaurants nearby, but I didn't find any good ones. The Qianjiang chicken offal hotpot, at 98 yuan, is actually less expensive than the 58 yuan in the main city. The noodle shop's seasoning wasn't very fragrant, and the mung bean noodles were a bit hard and tough. 📄 Overall, for a one-night stay with no high standards, I recommend this hotel.

JJiaowojiuyuejiuhaoI found a guesthouse on the edge of an old neighborhood. It had an open balcony with a railing, its walls weathered by time; when I arrived, they were a pale gray. I thought sitting there and listening to the rain would be quite pleasant. The place had a subtle fragrance, and the name, ”Bookstore,” was quite poetic. The furnishings were perfect for taking photos. It had a mountain-side guesthouse feel. I found the place quite late. The owner, a friendly young woman, quickly helped me check in and responded instantly to any questions. Besides ordering takeout and writing some notes, I mostly just slept before setting off. I slept very well, though. The bathroom was similar to that of an RV, except the RV had a toilet. It would be nice to have a separate bathroom. Everything was clean, though. Being close to nature meant I had a few mosquitoes for company, but I didn't get bitten much. And I hope next time I can stay longer.

GGuest UserAmazing would highly recommend! Lovely hostel in a great location, easily accessible and walking distance to all the famous attractions. The staff are very kind and helpful. There is a great common area and two beautiful rooftop terraces with great views of the city. The hostel is very clean and modern and has everything you need. The beds were very spacious and large with good privacy curtains, but the mattresses were not the most comfortable. A very cute cat! The only issue was the room was very hot and air conditioning wasn't working well. The staff were very kind and offered to move me to another room which was better but still quite hot. The rooms were also very small with not very much space to keep luggage and belongings.

MMaster TradeI had a very pleasant stay at this hostel. The place is clean, safe, and very comfortable, which made my time in Chengdu really enjoyable. The atmosphere is friendly and well organized, and everything was exactly as expected. I would especially like to thank Zhu Lu, whose service was truly outstanding. Having staff members who speak a very good level of English makes a big difference for international travelers, and Zhu Lu was always helpful, kind, and professional. Feeling safe, welcomed, and well assisted during a trip is very important, and this hostel definitely delivered that experience. If I come back to Chengdu, I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

EEric2121The location is great for terminal 2 of the airport (not so much for terminal 3 The bed itself was good quality, with proper privacy curtain, plugs, and a personal light. The shower toilet was big, and it had a separate wet area so you can keep your stuff in the room while showering. WiFi was OK. The windows of the building are terrible, so it was extremely noisy from both cars and planes. It also didn't stop the cold weather, and heating wasn't provided, so it was extremely cold in the room...

AAyanskeeFor this price, it’s better than I expected. I had some difficulties finding the place, and it’s not easy to get a response from the staff/host, but hey, it’s only $5 a night. The beds are good, the sheets are fresh and clean. There’s a living room where you can chill and get a powerbank for rent, there’s a fridge also. The balcony offers an outstanding view. For this price and location this is easily 9,5/10.

NNg FaithBeautiful views at Fairy Land Mountain. Just for overnight to visit the attractions in the area, this place is sufficient and value for money. Thanks to them we had complimentary breakfast. Though simple, with hot porridge, it is good enough for the old folks travelling in our group. Thank you ! We had a car to move around, no issues with location

GGuest UserI didn't expect that the rooms we randomly booked would be so great. They were much more comfortable than hotels. We were a group of only girls, and the place was very clean and cozy. Everyone was very polite and not noisy at all. Downstairs was the Chongqing big screen internet celebrity check-in spot, and there was a lot of food to eat. The location was great, and it was very convenient to go anywhere. The housekeeper was also very friendly and helpful, and she was always available online to handle any issues. It was really worth the money, and I really recommend it to everyone.

GGuest UserVery difficult to find, it is on the top floor of an apartment building and there are no signs to indicate it is there until you have got out the elevator and walked up 2 flights of stairs. Make sure you reach out to the owner before arriving and he will be able to help you and speaks great English. We didn’t do this and found out the hard way! Owner was very friendly, able to book trips for us and recommend things to do. In a great location. You get what you pay for, but this was a great budget option!
