This place was okay, I would not book here again. It is definitely in a good spot right downstairs is Nanjing road so you have alot of shopping and food halls right outside your room.
Staff is super friendly and very helpful especially the cleaning staff. Made sure we got water atleast once a day and would ask us if we need new towels if they saw us.
Depending on where they put you, you may end up having to take a pretty far walk to your hotel room.
You’ll need to take an elevator up to the main lobby and depending on the room you will need to take another elevator up. But if you are on an floor higher then 6 be prepared to hike to your room most inconvenient part of the stay to be honest.
The room also has an AC, Heater option you can set which is very handy and a window that can open partially.
The room was overall nice and clean but the compliments stop there, as the room is way to dim especially the bathroom cant really see much in there and it is also very tiny you can barely move in there. You literally cannot close the door if you’re standing at the sink or sitting on the toilet.
The shower drain also has a bad smell like sewer pipes that come up when youre using the shower and it takes awhile for it to go away. The shower pressure was okay until my 3rd day there and when I showered the water pressure was non existent and limp even tho the water is being poured on my body the pressure was so low it didnt even feel like anything was hitting me. At one point the pressure dropped to 0 and it was trickling out the shower head. The next morning though it was back to normal so not sure what happened. The shower area also floods the bathrooms as we had 3 rooms and all rooms had some form of flooding post shower. And 1 was really bad. Which we complained about and they gave us another room.
They also had a laundry room with 3 small washers and 3 small dryers not ment for bulk washing, and also free detergent. The washer was good but the dryer… unless you are ready to hang dry your clothes do not wash your clothes here as we ran the clothes in the dryer for 2-3 hrs and the clothes were still damp. And when we asked the staff they told us the dryer only dries enough for it to stay damp and you will need to air dry the rest which is ridiculous. Why have a dryer when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do? Make it make sense.
Overall besides location and friendly staff there is definitely better locations to choose from. I would not stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, with very convenient transportation, right in downtown Shanghai. It's also easy to find food, drinks, and entertainment nearby. It's definitely worth staying again. The front desk service is great, and the hotel offers good value for money.

Facilities: The hotel occupies a commercial unit on the ground floor of a residential complex, spread across three floors. It has an elevator, and you need a key card to access the upper levels. Finding your way around upstairs can feel a bit like a maze, though.
Cleanliness: It was reasonably clean.
Location: The area is quite convenient. Right downstairs, you'll find a FamilyMart convenience store, a beef noodle restaurant, a ********* Danzi noodle spot, and Shanshan Xiaolong dumplings. It's also not too far from the subway station.
Service: The staff provided good service; they even help bring up food deliveries to your room.

The hotel's location is excellent; right outside, you'll find the riverside greenway, which provides an unobstructed path along the river. Just a few hundred meters away is the Tangqiao ferry, where for 2 yuan, you can cross to the other side and walk all the way to the Bund along the Huangpu River. The room hygiene was top-notch; the housekeeper cleaned it very thoroughly and meticulously. I was very satisfied with the river view from my room this stay. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and attentive; the front desk was quick to fulfill any requests, and even food deliveries were brought directly to the room by a robot. I will definitely book this hotel again on my next visit!

The hotel is incredibly close to the subway. Considering its prime location in Shanghai, the hotel offers excellent value for money at this price point. What truly stood out was the front desk staff's exceptional patience and wonderful attitude. At 9 PM, I had urgent documents that needed printing, stamping, and mailing, and they were incredibly helpful in processing them for me. I'm truly grateful for their assistance. While many hotels in China technically offer printing services, often the front desk staff are unwilling to help due to the perceived hassle. The front desk team here, however, was absolutely fantastic!
The room was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The hotel facilities were comprehensive and well-equipped. They thoughtfully provided flower tea, black tea, and coffee in the room, and we even received a small complimentary gift at the front desk, which was a lovely touch. When I accidentally left some items in the lounge area, a kind staff member at the front desk neatly placed them in a bag and kept them safe – truly attentive service! Their excellent service attitude truly deserves praise. Initially, I had a little trouble finding the hotel, but after calling, a staff member patiently guided me until I was sure of the location. The subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel exceptionally convenient. Furthermore, there's a shopping mall right next door with an abundance of delicious food options.
As a returning guest, I'm still compelled to leave a glowing review. The hotel is ideally situated in a commercial district, offering convenient access to transportation, dining, and entertainment. The ambiance is elegant, upscale, and spacious, with everything impeccably clean and tidy. My stay was wonderfully quiet and comfortable, thanks to the excellent and well-maintained facilities. The service was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet was generous and easy to access, and the dining environment was very pleasant. A big plus is the complimentary and convenient parking.

The location is superb and incredibly easy to find; you can see it right outside the subway exit. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. Plus, if they're not too busy, they even offer late check-out until 2 PM. Highly recommended!
A fantastic creative-themed hotel with excellent service. The surrounding creative park also offers a wonderful atmosphere. It's very convenient for business travelers, with spacious rooms that include windows. The separate shower and toilet facilities are a major plus for cleanliness. It's even more ideal for families, as the creative park on the ground floor features plenty of children's play areas, and even a green belt with an elevated squirrel enclosure. The cafe on the ground floor, which also serves Western dishes, is excellent; its interior is lush with greenery, creating a fantastic ambiance. A complimentary light breakfast is offered each morning, which is a really nice touch.
Although there are many hotels around, Yitel Hotel has a high cost performance. Although the business king room is not big, it has complete facilities. It is also very clean. There is a rope for hanging clothes in the bathroom. The service staff is also very good. I couldn't close the window at night. After calling the front desk staff, they came up and closed it for me immediately. It is an ideal hotel for business people on short-term business trips.

AAnonymous UserHere’s a professional and constructive way to write a review about a hotel room with a heavy smoking odor:

Title: Strong Smoking Odor in Non-Smoking Room
Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5 – adjust based on your full experience)
Review:
I stayed at this hotel and was disappointed to find that the room had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke, despite being labeled as non-smoking. The odor was immediately noticeable upon entering and lingered throughout the stay, making it uncomfortable to relax or sleep.
I did bring this to the attention of the front desk, and change my room , they attempted to spray air freshener, which didn’t help much”
While the hotel had some positives —friendly staff, good service — the persistent smoke smell significantly affected the overall experience. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue more thoroughly in the future, such as better enforcement of non-smoking policies and deeper room
WWujilinggunJaylonThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers self-service laundry machines, and they even provide complimentary throat-soothing tea at the front desk. The location is excellent. I'll definitely be back next time!
HHongdangxiaohongThe room is quite spacious, very close to the airport and also close to Disneyland. It's clean, so if you're coming to Shanghai, you might want to consider staying here. This time I was traveling with a friend, so booking two beds worked out perfectly.

FFeixiangdexiaoxiannvyaExcellent location right in the heart of Wujiaochang, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and entertainment.
Facilities: Comprehensive and high-end.
Cleanliness: Exceptionally clean.
Environment: Safe.
Service: Offers complimentary coffee (and it's genuinely good!), tea, and a gym.
I was so satisfied that I extended my stay for another day. From here, the Line 10 subway can take you to various popular business districts and universities across Shanghai.
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Metro Lines 4 and 6, and buses right outside provide easy access to The Bund and Lujiazui. This convenience was why I stayed for four nights. The hotel is tucked away at the corner of a lighting mall, with a very inconspicuous small entrance, making it a bit difficult to find. There's barely a lobby, and the front desk is just a narrow counter; the overall environment isn't particularly impressive. The staff, while not overly enthusiastic, were responsive and helpful when asked questions. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where they provided an ample supply of bottled water – they even left a whole case right outside our room door. The room wasn't large but was clean, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom and shower stall were also clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast, priced at 48 yuan, didn't offer a wide variety and the taste was just average, so we only had it once. It takes less than 10 minutes to cycle to the Shanghai Museum East Pavilion. If you don't have very high expectations for your trip to Shanghai, this hotel offers decent value for money.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay in Yitel a lot! Whether it was going out and coming back late at night to be greeted by friendly staff members, getting to the super close subway station or tianlin road to eat, or even staying in to order delivery, it was overall a super convenient and pleasant experience.
