Yitel Hotels in Shanghai

Extremely convenient location. Customer service staff were very helpful with our queries. We had a lovely room which they allowed us to check in early when we reached at 9am (presumably no one stayed in the room before us). They are flexible in that sense. For our midnight flight, they helped arranged a taxi pick up transfer to the airport as well. Overall an excellent stay! Please try the rice cakes opposite the hotel, they're really good!

Room was lovely, very clean and decorated well. Hotel was a bit hard to find and there were no signs on the outside of the building to say that the hotel was there, or to go to the 3rd floor.

Arrived at the hotel late at night but the hotel staff kindly helped us check in. Took a while to locate the entrance of the hotel, it was inconspicuously hidden (had to take the lift at the corner of the 1st floor (next to a food store that opens late night) up to the 5th floor for the lobby - the lift area on the 1st floor wasn’t very brightly lit at night). Throughout our 4 night stay, we had to change rooms as there were some issues with the room (1st room wasn’t very clean and the water heater had some temperature consistency issue - which we realized later on this might be a building issue). But the housekeeping lady was very nice about it and showed us to our next room, and gave us some tips on the shower heater and all. Thank you hotel staff for accommodating to our various requests! Also as I ordered some stuff from a Chinese shopping platform, the parcels were delivered and kept in the storage room that they have near the reception. It’s self collection mostly, but on one of the occasion I had difficulty locating my parcel and one of the hotel staff kindly assisted me with the search. Thank you once again! Location wise, one of the metro station entrances is opposite the hotel, so it was pretty convenient when we were heading out. However, the surrounding areas isn’t very luggage-friendly (uneven floors, narrow pathways, etc), so if you are carrying lots of luggages then taking a cab might be more feasible to get to your next destination (e.g. airport, train station…). Good comfort in the room, new looking bathroom, comfortable bed and desk for working. Nice amenities like slippers, robe and soaps, and good coffee. Can hear a lot of doors slamming, children crying, and people snoring next door or in the hallway, but I guess that aligns with the good price for a downtown hotel. About 15 minute walk to Jiangsu Lu metro station. Lighting in the bathroom is really difficult for doing makeup.

So second time at this hotel. When checked in the room strongly smell of cigarettes smoke. So they change for me quickly. Good service. Second room have very bad smell coming drain in bathroom floor. Smell like sewer. Hotel know that this problem because they put air freshener on to of drain. So the. Room has sewer smell mixed with fresher smell. Really unpleasant to honest.

The room is relatively compact, suitable for two people. There is also a sofa-like position where you can sit and chat. The breakfast is relatively rich, the food tastes good, and the service is also very good. The only drawback may be that the sound insulation effect of the room is not good.

The room was quite clean, and the overall layout was normal. At first, I was not used to the position of the mirror in the room. The front desk lady Li Jianjian offered to help us change to a more suitable and comfortable room for the second time. However, because we were concerned about the position of the mirrors in the two large rooms, we chose a room with a regular layout. The service attitude was really good, and all the consultation questions were answered with a smile. They were very easy-going and standard.

Hotels booked on business trips, from the Internet, have a high score. When I checked in, the young lady at the front desk also sent small snacks. The room was cleaned and the facilities were relatively complete. Later, I was satisfied with the next day. The aunt who continued to clean the room also noticed that my physical condition sent warm tea. It moved me. Overall, the hotel's waiter service during the stay was very high and very satisfied with the stay experience, will come next time 😀😀

We got the king suite, and it was very spacious. We went on a colder day, but the heat in the room warmed the room up quickly. Very close to the airport, so some sound of airplanes landing or taking off, but very convenient to go to/from Shanghai Hongqiao airport or train station.

The location is very close to Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park. Since I booked two different room types for two nights, I packed my luggage and went out to play. The hotel thoughtfully helped me put my luggage in the new room. If it rains, I can also borrow an umbrella from the hotel. When I order takeout, a robot will deliver it to the room. It is very convenient. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Pudong New Area in the future
