JOYA Properties in Shanghai

My stay at the Hiyatt Hotel Gubei Shanghai far exceeded my expectations! The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Yili Road Station on Metro Line 10. Takashimaya is right across the street, and there are tons of Japanese restaurants and shopping options nearby. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming; they even upgraded my room since it was my first time there. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the smart toilet and Dyson hairdryer were perfect touches. The breakfast offered a wide variety of both Western and Chinese options. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep every night. Whether for a business trip or a weekend getaway, this place is a hidden gem in Gubei. I'll definitely choose Hiyatt again on my next visit to Shanghai!

Recommended by a friend, this was my first stay and I absolutely loved it. I ended up staying for two weeks straight; it was incredibly comfortable and quiet, with a great view. The night view was even more beautiful! A special thanks to KK at the front desk for her care and for the help with ordering meals – you went above and beyond, and I'm very grateful. 🙏 I'll definitely be back here on my next trip home.

I was there from 1-6 Aug. Service is excellent! From service desk they are wonderful. Our chambermaid has been very attentive, she would clean our room when we are out within her schedule and she provides us the toiletries and water we need on a timely basis. She’s friendly, service oriented and helpful! Front desk is also very accommodative and service oriented. They are always looking out for us like storing our luggages and other requests in a timely manner. The security also looks out for our grab car and help us with luggages. Personally, I love the soft drinks concept teh hotel have, quietness and cleanliness. Thanks, Joya hotel! Hope to come again!

The hotel is conveniently located right by Zhouqiao Old Street, very easy to find. Across the road are Huilongtan Park and Jiading Confucius Temple, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Jiading Museum and Qiuxia Garden. We had breakfast and then spent the morning exploring the free attractions nearby – the location is truly excellent. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary room upgrade. The room was new and spacious, and the bathroom was particularly roomy. It would have been perfect if there was a bathtub by the window! When we checked out, we were even given coffee as a farewell gift. A big thank you to the handsome Xiao Shao! The hotel has a courtyard and a long corridor, which I believe are preserved from the original old building. There's also a citron tree in the courtyard with many fruits. In the morning, I saw a pile of what looked like fallen fruits in the restaurant.
