1. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and eager to help. I felt so welcome in my first ever trip to China.
2. The room is gorgeously designed, clean, and the bed was comfortable, and you got unlimited free water bottle you can pick up on the hallway.
3. The location is great, you are close to Madang Rd. station and there are many delicious local eatery around.
Overall, I will stay here again the next time I am in Shanghai.
Excellent facilities in a very convenient location near to attractions. They are really helpful to accept our online orders and helped us on late checkin and providing necessary snacks as we were really hungry. Chinese traditional breakfast also Excellent. Highly rated and suggested.
This hotel was exceptional. Firstly the lady at check in desk Yulia was very friendly and Jack was very welcoming. The hotel has a very nice lobby with a Lavazza there so convenient to grab a coffee. The room was very spacious and there was a small cake for my wife's birthday by chef. The beds were comfortable and very big which was nice. The location is absolutely outstanding the best thing is the subway station which is literally 5 minute or less walk. Xintiandi is very close by taxi and all other prime locations. I did like a late night delivery of food and the robot bought it to the room which was great to see. Lastly the breakfast was very nice it has many western option from cereals to different pastries and also very nice fruit selection and juices. Thank you to all the staff including Ben who was very friendly. The hotel staff speak English which really helped our trip. Definitely book again.

Absolutely fantastic! I stayed here for a concert, and everything was great. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even advising on the fastest route to the venue. Amenities were always replenished promptly, and how cool is this – food deliveries were brought up by a little robot! I had such a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight for me was its unbeatable proximity to the stadium – super convenient! I will definitely be staying here again. Oh, and as a lovely gesture, the front desk gave me a complimentary bottle of water when I checked out, which was perfect for my journey.

For my staycation in Shanghai this time, I opted for a deluxe king room in the Executive Wing. Situated on a street corner, its windows offered views of a picturesque six-way intersection, beautifully lined with lush plane trees. A guided tour revealed that the historic building was renovated in 2020. Its interior design and color palette strongly evoke 1930s Art Deco, while the facilities are thoroughly modern. I was particularly impressed by the classic-looking yet smart air conditioning and lighting controls, and the Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom.
The executive lounge features a terrace, ideal for intimate gatherings with friends. The attendant was elegant and welcoming, and had thoughtfully prepared bilingual maps of the surrounding area and guide booklets for guests. Adjacent to the lounge is a small museum, currently showcasing an exhibition on Art Deco in Shanghai, perfect for a solo exploration or for introducing friends to the city's rich history.
The Hengshan Hotel, a landmark in Xujiahui, truly lives up to its reputation. I particularly recommend the Executive Wing for its unique and irreplaceable ambiance as a historic building.
Needless to say, its prime location in the city center is a major highlight. For breakfast over the past few days, I thoroughly explored the nearby culinary scene, enjoying everything from local staples like soy milk and fried dough sticks, xiaolongbao, and glutinous rice rolls, to wontons, pork chops, and treats from the famous Ruby's bakery.

This stay truly made me feel right at home. While the facilities and decor were decent – nothing particularly outstanding – the real highlight was the service, starting from the moment our car entered the hotel premises. We had someone assist with parking, help with luggage, and were offered welcome fruit and tea before a smooth check-in. Every interaction with the staff felt unique; there was so much attention to detail and genuine warmth, unlike anything I've experienced before. I even received a personal reminder for the evening snack. And when I had an urgent company call right before check-out, needing to handle some business, they kindly extended my check-out time, granting me valuable extra minutes. It was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming!

The amenities are quite extensive and modern, the location and view are also excellent, and they even assigned a 'private assistant' reachable on WeChat. However, there seem to be some serious management issues. The front desk was so understaffed that they couldn't cope with check-ins. Our room had a strong musty smell that even the air conditioning couldn't fix; every time we returned, the smell was noticeable, forcing us to open the windows for ventilation. The pillowcases had stains. We contacted them to get another pillow, but nothing happened for half an hour. We called again, only to be told by staff that they had run out of regular pillows and only had small throw pillows available. The assistant delivered breakfast, but despite being two guests, only one portion was sent. It was then we realized that while my companion's passport had been copied, it hadn't been properly registered to our room. After sorting out the issue, two portions of breakfast were finally sent. However, this still wasn't updated in their system, leading to confusion at the restaurant which couldn't confirm our entitlement.
I traveled with my younger sister and booked this hotel for our Disneyland trip. We really enjoyed our stay here! All the staff were kind and supportive — I truly appreciated them!
A big plus is that the hotel provides a shuttle bus to both Disneyland and Pudong Airport, which made our trip much more convenient.
There are a few downsides, such as the bathroom amenities — I recommend bringing your own for a better experience.
That said, the room was spacious, and the bed was soft and very comfortable to sleep on. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!
Very good service staff at counter and esp the staff would escort you to your taxi pick up point.
Hotel room is clean and washing machine plus dryer is really useful. Provides sufficient drinking bottled water . Just one thing to note is that the 2 bedroom apartment only comes with one bathroom. Location is about 7 min walk to subway and malls. Very peaceful & quiet area away from the downtown shopping area but yet not too far since it’s accessible by subway. 24 hours Chinese food stalls available nearby.
The sushi luxury is in an old Ramada hotel and it shows in parts. They renovated the rooms but some wear and tear shows.
This does not change that the bed is really good with 2 pillow choices, the shower height is changeable (believe me you want that in China as a 190cm European) and the cleanliness is perfect.
We enjoyed the stay and would use it again.
The location is good with a subway station 5 -10 minutes away on foot. And lots of food Choices around.
It’s worth to explore the smaller side streets for restaurants and cafes

GGuest UserA very satisfying stay. The room was very clean, there was no odor when the window was opened for ventilation, the breakfast was very rich, and the service was very responsive. The tiles at the door were a little uneven, so I suggest you fix them.
GGuest UserTraveling to Shanghai on Labor Day, I am very satisfied with this homestay. The decoration and facilities are very new and luxurious. It is very close to the scenic spot. It is very convenient to go anywhere in the city center. The bathroom has a bathtub, the bedroom and the terrace. I like it very much.
GGuest UserFantastic location! The subway station is incredibly close, and there's a bus stop right by the hotel entrance, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The service was exceptional; they even gave us a souvenir and small gifts upon departure. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! 👍
MM318250****This hotel boasts a very convenient location, being just steps away from Metro Line 9. Sun Moonlight shopping mall and Ruijin Hospital are also close by, and guests will find a wide array of dining options in the surrounding area. The rooms are generally clean and tidy, and the front desk staff provide warm and thoughtful service. The rooms themselves are spacious and bright, and come fully equipped with all necessary facilities.
GGuest UserThe room was spotless, the facilities thoughtfully appointed, and the service exceptionally attentive. Hotel staff consistently greeted guests proactively, making us feel incredibly welcome – a stark contrast to being ignored and feeling like a stranger. The front desk staff always communicated with a smile. The hotel is located in Huangpu District, close to the World Expo Museum and the Ninth People's Hospital. With shopping malls nearby, dining options are convenient. The Bund, City God Temple, Yu Garden, and Romance Park are all about a 20-minute drive away. Metro Line 13 is directly opposite the hotel, and a bus stop is just 50 meters away. Overall, the transportation links are incredibly convenient!
YYuzhongshandianmingOverall, it's pretty good. The location is close to the hospital, and the price is a good advantage compared to other hotels in the same area. The environment is also better than other hotels of the same price. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The so-called 2025 newly renovated hotel may be a transfer, which is a bit disappointing.
MM368151****Perfect choice! The hotel is conveniently located near Dapuqiao, just a short walk from the subway station and shopping malls. There's also a hospital nearby, which is really handy in case of an emergency. The room was spotless, and the facilities were all we needed. Having a fridge and microwave was a huge plus. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they even allowed us to have a late check-out until 3 PM! This was incredibly helpful for those of us who wanted to get some extra rest.
AAnonymous UserThe bed sheet was broken, so I went to the front desk. The front desk had a very bad attitude and said that they couldn't change it if they didn't have it. No, buddy... who dares to sleep on the bed if the bed sheet is broken. At least the bed sheet was delivered, but the attitude was also very impatient. No, buddy, this is a hotel that you pay to stay in... I came here after seeing zero negative reviews
AAnonymous UserLet me talk about the bad aspects first. The facilities are really the most shabby hotel I have ever stayed in. Although I didn't have much expectations for hotel facilities in the center of Shanghai at this price, after actually entering the room, I found that all the facilities and furniture were not just shabby. The good thing is that the hygiene is quite attentive, the service at the front desk is still good, and the soundproofing of the hotel is better than expected, which is also related to the layout of the room. In addition, the location is very good and it is very convenient to get everywhere.
GGuest UserThe millet washing and drying machine is very powerful, the projection TV is very good, the transportation is convenient, it is clean and tidy, the landlord's service is in place, and the missing items are quickly delivered.
