Originally booked a king size room but found it too small as not much space to open our luggages. We decided to top-up S$130/4N to upgrade to their suite room. It’s much spacious with a bathtub, separate toilet and standing shower.
Hotel environment is very zen style, feels very comfortable and relax.
Breakfast is buffet style with very little options. Everyday is the same 😅
There’s a self-service Landry room with 2 washer and 2 dryers. We didn’t have to wait to use the machines during our stay which is a plus 😊
There’s a parcel collection area juz outside the lobby reception.
There’s a welcome combo meal set for every room booked. The meal set looks very appealing but taste is juz average.
Location is not very near to mrt. About 7mins walk to Changping station and 12mins walk to Jing’an station and temple.
Overall is a nice and comfy stay but location is not exactly ideal.

Checked in on the evening of May 6th and checked out on the morning of May 7th. On the afternoon of the 7th, my right leg started to feel painful and itchy, and I discovered two scattered red bumps. I went to the pharmacy and was told it was likely a bed bug or flea bite. I reported it to the hotel customer service that evening, but they didn't handle it. Ctrip customer service then took over. The next day, the hotel called me back around noon and said that because I reported it a day and a half later, they couldn't confirm its authenticity. They asked why I didn't contact the front desk on the night of my stay and kept making excuses, refusing to apologize for the incident.
Furthermore, these types of insects are very difficult to eliminate, have strong reproductive capabilities, and it would be very troublesome if they weren't completely dealt with. What if children and babies were involved?

I recently stayed at Swiss Hotel in Shanghai, overall, I had a positive experience. The hotel is Situated in a central part of the city near some landmarks such as the Jing’an temple. There are cafes, malls and restaurants walking distance. The room and common areas were decent and tidy. My room 819 was spacious and well illuminated with a nice view. The hotel has a nice spa with steam room, sauna and jacuzzis and also a swimming pool. Gym is medium size well equipped. breakfast is included with Asians and western options. The internet connection was good in general.

This stay was absolutely perfect, highly recommend! The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, with easy access to Metro Lines 2 and 7. Downstairs, you'll find a variety of restaurants and convenience stores, so you don't have to go far for dining or shopping. It's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, with no street noise, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The cleanliness was impeccable; the room was spotless, with no stains on the desk, corners, or bathroom. The bedding was soft and clean, and the towels and toiletries were brand new and tidy. The wet and dry areas were well-separated, and hot water was consistently available 24/7 at just the right temperature, making for a very comfortable stay.

The staff was very helpful throughout my stay, making me feel at home! On the first day, I arrived in the morning, and was told that the earliest available room would be at 11am. It was a pleasant surprise as I thought I would have to wait until 3pm or so; nevertheless I decided to check in to my room later and explore the city.
The hotel is easier to access via Jingan temple station exit 12 (then turn left once out of the exit).
After checking in at night, I was given a plate of complimentary fruits! And the room is decently spacious for 2 people.
The cleaning lady was pleasant to chat with, yet professionally cleaning the room.
The walls are a bit thin, such that a neighbouring room’s pressing of light switches can be heard.
Overall, I had a great rest. Would go back!
PS: if you choose to walk, the district around the hotel is pretty western with hidden surprises. This hotel is a hidden gem, especially for solo travellers or couples
PS2: upon check in, the staff will ask you if you brought toothbrush and toothpaste. They are not provided by default, probably by request, to reduce wastage

Treasure Trove in Shanghai: Discover a Nordic-Inspired 'Home Away From Home' at CitiGO HOUSE Apartment Hotel!
My blind booking for CitiGO HOUSE Apartment Hotel in Shanghai turned out to be an absolute delight! If you're looking for a spot in this vibrant city that offers both urban energy and peaceful tranquility, this place definitely deserves a spot on your wishlist.
Prime Location, Hassle-Free Travel
I can't praise the hotel's location enough! Situated in the heart of Shanghai, the transportation network around it is incredibly well-developed. Whether you're taking the subway, bus, or a taxi, getting anywhere is super convenient. Want to see the Bund's night lights, experience the bustling financial district of Lujiazui, or explore and eat your way down Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street? All are easily accessible, saving you a ton of commute time.
Quiet Oasis, Instant Nordic Escape
What truly captivated me was the ambiance. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, perfectly embodying the concept of a 'quiet oasis in a lively district.' The moment you step inside, the minimalist, high-end Nordic design greets you. The fresh air and tranquil atmosphere immediately wash away travel fatigue, allowing you to quickly relax.
Excellent Facilities, Just Like Home
The room design is modern yet cozy, with meticulous attention to detail. Not only do you get high-speed internet and a large LCD TV, but the best part is the fully equipped kitchen! For long-term stays or families with kids, being able to whip up a simple meal is incredibly convenient. Plus, the hotel also boasts a gym, laundry room, and meeting rooms, perfectly catering to all your needs, whether you're on a business trip or just working out.
Exceptional Service, Attention to Detail
The service here is definitely a major plus! The front desk and staff are well-trained, enthusiastic, and professional. From helping with luggage to patiently answering travel inquiries, they make you feel incredibly welcome. They even offer personalized services, like helping to book specialty restaurants or plan travel itineraries. This feeling of being genuinely cared for truly gives it that 'home' warmth.

Staffs were friendly even to non-Chinese speaker like me. Location is superb, just walking distance to the metro station. The hotel entrance may not be that noticeable considering I spent quite some time looking for it the moment I stepped out of the metro. Eateries are easily available the moment you step out of the hotel. Just walk for about 5mins along the West Nanjing Road and you can see the spectacular Louis Vuitton ship and the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. I will definitely go back to this hotel again next time if I have the chance to visit Shanghai again.

The minute I entered this hotel, I could tell that it is a long-standing and well-run establishment. The receptionist handled my check-in with care. I experienced a small hiccup with the air conditioning in my room, as it was not working properly. However, the receptionist handled the situation professionally and was willing to move me to another room.
The bedding was probably one of the best I have ever experienced in my life. I opted for breakfast, and I am glad I did. There was a good mix of Chinese and Western selections. The cleaner also did a great job ensuring the room was fresh and clean after a long day. I would definitely come back again!
Note: The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the metro station. If you are taking the metro, please plan accordingly.

First time staying in Atour Hotel and it's super value for money stay especially in Shanghai city near to Jing'An temple. Walking distance to Jing'An temple metro station and many eateries around the estate.
Hotel room is clean and spacious! Was given a free room upgrade upon check in. Laundry area was clean and cooling as well. As my flight is in the evening, concierge allowed to extend check out time to 2pm instead of usual 12pm.
Will definitely recommend to friends to stay in Atour. Atour have many branches in different cities as well..

Stayed at Kunlun Jing’an Hotel: the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby food, transport and places to explore. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept, which made the stay restful after a day out.
I came to Shanghai after staying at a four-star hotel in Hangzhou, and unfortunately, I found the service at Kunlun Jing’an Hotel lacking in comparison.
My pregnant wife and I arrived at 5pm with one large luggage and hand-carry bags, but there was no doorman around to help us unload from the cab or bring our luggage into the hotel. There was also a male staff member standing on the steps (in the picture), but he did not offer to assist. For a hotel presented as five-star, this was quite surprising. When I mentioned it during check-in, the response was simply that the staff were probably too busy.
There were also small service details that felt inconvenient. For example, umbrellas require a RMB 100 deposit if borrowed from the concierge, as they expect guests to use the umbrellas from the room wardrobe instead. Personally, I would rather not bring a wet umbrella back into the room to dry, so this arrangement felt less guest-friendly than expected.
Food delivery was another area that could be improved. It would be much better if the hotel had a delivery robot to send ******* orders directly to the room, instead of guests having to go downstairs to collect from the ******* locker. The 4 star hotel in Hangzhou had one.
The hotel itself was generally comfortable, but overall the service experience did not match what I expected from a so-called five-star hotel in Shanghai.

GGuest UserGreat homestay! It is a three-story building. The environment is very good and beautiful. There are four rooms and two bathrooms. It can accommodate up to ten people! ! ! Especially suitable for poor college students to travel in groups☺️☺️The location is also very good. It is close to everywhere. It is very convenient to take a taxi or subway🚇 The kitchen also has dishes. We also studied and cooked our own dishes😏There are two bathrooms in total. The hygiene is also very good~ I didn’t deliberately take a lot of beautiful photos 555 (my fault☹️) The store owner is also super nice😘😘😭Especially understand poor college students. They also provided us with free mahjong tables, audio equipment and other equipment😘The TV is very large and can be projected. It’s very comfortable to watch! ! ! It is also very convenient to order takeout🥹Just go downstairs and open the door to get it~ The safety factor is very good and very reassuring✊In short, it is a very pleasant homestay experience💕I will recommend it to friends in the future🫧

GGuest UserIt was a bit smaller than I expected. It was also in an alley, so it was a bit scary at night. However, the interior was clean, and the two air conditioners kept us cool. And most of all, the owner was so kind. 😭 I arrived early, but he let me check in and delayed my checkout by an hour.
I ordered fruit delivery early in the morning, and he contacted me about the wrong delivery and made sure it arrived correctly. Even though we were foreigners and couldn't communicate, he patiently guided us for over 10 minutes. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy some delicious fruit. 🥰🥰🥰
There's even a cat in front of the property. This is a place I'd love to stay again next time I'm in Shanghai. 😘

GGuest UserI accidentally booked the wrong room size, so I paid a bit extra to upgrade to a larger queen room with a window.
**Location:** Situated right in the bustling commercial heart of Shanghai.
**Cleanliness:** The housekeeping staff did a thorough and clean job.
**Value for Money:** For such a prime, busy area, the value is excellent.
**Wi-Fi:** Comes with the room, very convenient.
**Room Size:** Not huge, but fully functional with everything you need.
**Soundproofing:** Pretty good. The front desk attendant was very thoughtful and gave me a quieter, inner-facing room.
**Room Facilities:** The quality is a bit basic, but the amenities are complete.
**Bed:** Fantastic, I slept soundly until morning.
**Service:** Absolutely excellent. Everyone greeted me with a smile when I entered and exited, very polite. ☺️

GGuest UserThe location is very good, just on the edge of the crossroads, you can see it at a glance, about 8 minutes away from Jiangsu Road subway station, the room is very clean, the front desk lady service and attitude is very good, more than 1,000 meters walk from Yuyuan Road and Wukang Road, 10 minutes, very cost-effective, Go to Nanjing East Road or West Road for 2 stops. There is a bus No. 71 at the door. It is directly to the Bund. It is really convenient to travel. It is not noisy at all. The sound insulation is very good. The curtains are invincible. It is more than nine o'clock in the morning. I thought it was not bright. I recommend living here.

AAnonymous UserThe bathroom situation was a bit grim – you basically had to stand in the shower to use the toilet, and to top it off, there were bugs, which was quite a fright. The room itself was genuinely tiny; there was no space for luggage. When I first saw the room, I thought it would be okay, but sleeping there at night felt really cramped and oppressive. Definitely better to book a larger room. They also had a price list for items stuck on the wall, and the prices were ridiculously high – first time I've ever seen that.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to travel to Shanghai alone. The front desk lady was very gentle when I entered the room on the night of check-in. She even said that she upgraded my room. As we all know, the prices in Shanghai are high. That small place carries my dream of finding my idol. Thank you for the enthusiasm of the front desk lady. Although the room is small, it is clean and tidy, full of Shanghai style. If someone has booked this room type, I hope you can understand. After all, the room is this price. It is really impossible to have a cheap and large room in Shanghai. Shanghai, hope to see you next time.
